⁴²the top floor

as soon as the couple few zombies had dropped dead before the window, y/n had hopped inside the building.Β

she could hear the many footsteps making its way up the stairs, somewhat causing her excitement to rush throughout her body. so, with one last call towards her friends, she began to fire more. "remember to stay quiet and be fast!!"

she shot the couple few zombies that began to enter through the door, kicking them aside to leave room for the others. she began to run up the stairs, gun shots firing as she did so. the concept of finally going ballistic made her laugh. i mean, will she actually lose her mind during this?

there was no point in answering that question, since we already know what it is. i mean, who laughs at nothing? who just shoots their classmate in their head? who just find killing zombies fun? surely not a sane person...

but, like the many times she's stated this before, she doesn't care.Β

she liked doing what she wanted to, and no one's going to stop her from doing so.

running up the stairs, a lunatic-like laugh left her mouth continuously, bullets firing as zombies followed close behind her. "you guys can hear that, yeah?? goodie! the only other thing you need to do is find out where it's coming from~!"

so as she made her way to the top floor of the building, she made sure that all zombies inside the building were making its way to her as well. she wasn't firing the gun the whole time, obviously, she wanted to save that for the main course, however, she was laughing the whole time. and seeing as the stairs were narrow, her voice echoed throughout the place.

"aah!! hurry! come and get me~!" she squealed, thrill scouring throughout her body. she shouldn't be this excited honestly, she knew that these zombies can't reach her or anything, yet it still made her excited.

as she was now on the top floor, she placed the rifles on her back again, grabbing the piled of metal rods on the floor. albeit the fact that they were really long, she was going to use them. if she threw them fast enough, it'll be just like her knives.

"these zombies can be my target practices!" she exclaimed, hugging the large pile. placing them on top of the pile of concrete bricks beside her, she held one in her hand. gripping it in a specific type of a way, she narrowed her eyes at a zombie's head. "now if you just stand still..." she mumbled, getting ready to throw the metal stick. "and... now!"

she then launched the item from her hand, spinning as if it was an arrow and piercing the zombie's head directly. her mouth opened wide in a smile, arms going up in victory.

"bullseye!" watching as that zombie fell onto the floor, she grabbed a couple more rods, using them as throwing knives, well, throwing sticks. thanks to her enhanced strength, these rods felt light on her hand, making it easier for her to throw.

she continued throwing these rods, up until she finished them all. once she did, her eyes scanned the room. there were still a whole lot of zombies. pushing through them, she walked towards outside in the open again. standing right before the ledge, she put her hands in her pockets, watching the commotion happening near the school.

there were multiple drones flying around the middle of the school, as well as zombies who were running towards it. "that must where they're going to drop the bomb..." she hummed. bringing out her pockets, she grabbed both guns on her back, grinning. "they can't have all the fun~ i want to massacre bodies too!!"

she then ran towards the stair case, looking at the middle. it had been at least a few minutes since she started gathering the zombies, and it was pretty clear on the floor below. this must mean that the others had already gone out.

letting out a satisfied hum, she turned her body back towards the zombies that were now all inside the room. "time to have my fun!!"

"wu-jin! come on!" ha-ri stated, tugging on the boy's arm. the boy only looked at his sister, shaking his head slightly as he looked back towards the building.

they were all now out of building, leaving through the gate that separated their school from the forest. wu-jin had been stopping continuously, as the boy sent nervous glances towards the construction building multiple times.

"she's going to be alright!" dae-su yelled back, "it's y/n!"

the boy gulped. "yeah, the same y/n who has a death wish..."

ha-ri sighed. "you trust her, don't you? you know that she's capable of surviving multiple scenarios."

slowly, he nodded.

"then she'll be alright. she's a tough girl, she's not going to die anytime soon."

ha-ri should honestly take her own advice. look at her, reassuring her brother that his girlfriend is going to be alright and would make it back to them, while she, herself, can't even believe her words.

she knew y/n was tough, but wu-jin was right. she has a death wish. even if she managed to gather all the zombies already, she wouldn't leave until she managed to have her fun with them.

and boy, were they right.

the girl was currently spinning in circles in the midst of the horde of zombies, a rifle in each hand, firing continuously as she laughed insanely.

"that's right! die from the bullets that make contact with your body!!!" she laughed, having way too much entertainment. she was completely annihilating these dead bodies, as they all fell in piles around her.

then, the loud noises stopped. confused, she pulled the trigger multiple times, only to hear small clicking noises.

"hm, finished already?" she then threw the guns on the floor, disregarding the pointless weapons. she looked around her. i guess, it was alright to leave now. there were only a bit left, and they can't even see her so what's the point.

letting out a tired raspberry, she began to walk back towards the stairs. however, once making it towards the door-area, a hand suddenly met her throat.

her eyes widened upon seeing the boy's bleeding face. "you know, i hate you so fucking much."

her hand immediately flew to the boy's wrist, trying to remove herself from his grip. he didn't budge, keeping a strong, tightening hold on her. if it weren't for the fact that she grabbed her knife and stabbed him in the arm holding her, she would've been choked to death.

grasping the spot where she was being choked, she looked at the boy who held onto his hand. "you know... i wonder how many wounds i've left on your body now. i didn't expect you to get up honestly, i mean, i blew your brains out."

"and i'm going to fucking eat yours!" gwi-nam snarled, glaring at her as he dashed right towards her.

y/n squealed excitedly, dodging his grasp quickly. "oh, another game of tag! let's see how long it'll take you to grab me now!!!"

"little bitch!" he cussed, hissing at the fact that the girl had just sliced him once again. her evil laugh entered his ears, that if it weren't for the fact that he wanted to kill her right now, he would've pissed his pants in fear.

"you hate me, don't you? gwi~ nam~!" the girl smirked lazily, merely dodging him once again.

"stop fucking moving!" he grumbled harshly, patience running thin.

"ah!" she yelped, feeling the boy grab her waist and slam her onto the floor harshly. grunting slightly, she could feel his hand grab her neck again, immediately restricting her lungs.

"i've got you where i've wanted. i'm going to finally kill you." he smirked, sitting on top of the girl.

his hold on her this time was much more harder, as she could feel her lung space minimising. even though she was practically dying at this point, she was still looking at him like a mad-man, smiling with wide eyes.

poor gwi-nam, always making the same mistake.

i need to leave now. or else i'll burn from the nuke's impact, or maybe even explode with it.

her knife connected with his neck, blood spewing out onto her face. she then took it out, and letting out a small cry, she sliced gwi-nam's forearm off - the one choking her.

the boy immediately let out a scream, clutching his arm. this allowed y/n to push the boy off of her, kicking him away into the wall of bricks. coughing, she held her neck. "ehhh, why do you keep choking me?!"

she looked at the boy one last time, not an inch of his body moving. she then turned around, sighing. as she stood beside a window, she could feel the pain forming on her neck area. she looked out the window, seeing the trees moving slightly from the small breeze flowing pass them. hm, that's nice.

then, unexpectedly, she heard gwi-nam yell out her name. "Y/N!!!" as if this boy could not die, he was running towards her again, other hand out. her eyes suddenly widened, how is he still not dead?!

however, that shouldn't be the least of her worries. as soon as his hand made contact with her skin, a sudden explosion occurred behind the boy, its impact causing the both of them to be blown out the window.
