2 ; tea..

chapter II.

yeosang was woken up by the light shining through his curtains that he just so happened to forget to close last night. the night was really a blur for him, not being able to remember nearly any events after he arrived home.

all he knew was that his head was pounding, and that he needed to take pain killers as soon as possible.

groaning, he rolled out of bed and made his way to the kitchen to look for some medicine.

it wasn't until he spotted the broken glass on the floor that he'd regained most of his memory from last night.

there was a vampire possibly still in his apartment this very moment!

forgetting his initial task, he walked into the living room only to be greeted by the sight of seonghwa sitting on his couch while watching whatever was on the tv, and sipping a glass of tea.

yeosang noticed that the once opened balcony was closed, and the curtains were closed as well. he figured that seonghwa closed them, well, since he was a vampire.

"i see you finally decided to join me, darling. here's some green tea and pain killers." the older motioned for yeosang to sit with him on the couch.

reluctantly, yeosang obeyed and sat the farthest he could from seonghwa, without not sitting on the couch.

"t-thank you," he muttered has he gulped down the pills that were sitting on the table.

"i never got your name last night, what should i call you?"

the human thought for a moment, should he tell seonghwa his name? he figured seonghwa meant no harm, and the fact that he let him into his home so easily was far more worrisome than the vampire knowing his name.

"kang yeosang..." to which seonghwa just nodded back in response.

"how's your head feeling, yeosang?"

"awful. i didn't even drink a lot last night." yeosang groaned as he plopped further into the couch.

"the tea and medicine should lessen the pain then. but, are you not concerned about the fact that there's a supernatural being sitting on your couch drinking tea at 10 am?" seonghwa questioned.

the silver-haired boy sided eyed him, and then just shrugged. "i am very concerned, more so at the fact that i even allowed it. but, i can't be bothered with it right now."

the vampire chuckled, "you humans are quite peculiar."

"but... i do want to know more about you. like are all the stories true or fake? how do you actually live? until yesterday i didn't even know vampires actually existed." yeosang was now getting a bit more comfortable around the male, he even turned to face him as they were conversing.

it surprised seonghwa a lot, considering most of his encounters with humans ended with them being morbidly terrified of him, or them even trying to drive a stake right through his heart as an attempt to kill him. yeosang was just different, he guessed.

"i'm quite hurt that you never believed in vampires until you actually met one," seonghwa joked, "but as well as vampires, other 'fictional' supernatural creatures exist as well. werewolfs, ghouls, phantoms, sea monsters, you name it. and we have the same amount of similarities to humans just as we do differences."

yeosang was now staring in awe. he was shocked to hear that other creatures existed, but at the same time it wasn't hard to accept. the universe was so big, that there's no way anybody has discovered everything that exists inside of it.

"so do you like... do you drink actual human blood?"

seonghwa laughed again, "i can practically hear the disgust laced in your voice. but, i do drink human blood on occasions when it is needed. where i live, there isn't a lot of humans around so we've adapted. i like red foods, the color is somewhat enough to survive and if i really want blood, i'll use an animal. i shouldn't need human blood unless i'm terribly sick." he explained.

"in an odd way... that's kind of cool, seonghwa."

"i think so too." he smiled back at the human.

the little concerns he had left about seonghwa, were clearing up a bit. seonghwa doesn't even drink blood so there shouldn't be anything to worry about, right?

"so, where did you live? and what brought you here?" yeosang continued to question.

seonghwa had never felt like a human was actually interested in learning about him, until he talked with yeosang. the boy was oddly already comfortable with him, and it oddly made seonghwa feel the urge to smile more.

"you could say i'm running away from my problems." he scoffed, "i live in the mountains with other supernatural beings too."

yeosang nodded. he thought it was enough questions for the day, considering that the last question clearly struck a nerve in seonghwa.
