Chapter 5

Aurora's P.O.V.

Tyler?

But... I thought he was sleeping on the couch when I left him. He was still awake, but I'm not sure how hard I actually hit him.

"Tyler! Never sneak up on a girl when she has a bat in her hand!" I yelled at him. Honestly, what is wrong with Tyler?

"Me? I woke up to find you gone and went searching for you, I tried your bed room, but that dog started growling as my hand touched the door knob. I saw your aunt and uncles room open, so I walked into their," Tyler explained to me while trying to stand up.

"Sorry, I had no idea you would wake up, and I thought I heard noises. I guess those horror movies are finally getting to me," I said with a weak smile. I helped Tyler back to the couch and we both just fell on the couch before passing out.

I know that sound wasn't my imagination, but what was it?

The next day Tyler and I had nothing to do, so we just stayed at home all day. The dog was growling the next morning when Tyler was cooking bacon.

He still wouldn't eat his food, so I gave him a piece of my bacon. He scuffed that thing down his throat so fast that I barely saw him eat it.

We ate pancakes, bacon, sausages, and toast for breakfast. The dog wouldn't leave us alone while we were eating so we finally decided to make him his own plate of food. At least he was eating something, right?

I fell asleep on the couch in the afternoon while the dog went back into my room. Why does that dog love my bed so much? I mean really! It's my bed!

I woke up to see Tyler sitting on the couch and watching TV. I looked to see what he was watching and saw Tom and Jerry on. I instantly bolted up, I've always loved Tom and Jerry ever since I was a kid.

We watched a few hours of Tom and Jerry before Tyler finally decided to fall asleep. I looked at the clock to see it was around lunch time. I yawned before getting up and going to my room.

I quickly changed into another pair of sweatpants and another tank top. I placed my hair in a messy bun again and this time I tried to look for my glasses. I had contacts in, but took them out last night.

I looked at my dresser next to my bed, no luck. Under my bed, no luck. In the bathroom, no luck. On my bed, no luck. Ugh! Where did my glasses go?

I took my slippers out of my closet and right as I put my left one on I felt something cold. I stuck my hand in my slipper to find my glasses in there.

I'm not even going to think or ask how they ended up in my slippers. Not even going to bother.

I walked towards the front door to grab the mail. Some of it was bills that needed to be payed, like I said, the government likes to give me a hard time. Some other stuff, and that was about it.

I threw the papers and envelopes on the kitchen table and found Tyler still asleep. I saw a pen right next to the papers I threw down. This was almost to tempting.

I quickly grabbed the pen and started drawing glasses, a mustache, and some other stuff on his face. On his forehead I wrote 'I'm a pretty princess'.

I continued to draw on him for a little longer until his whole face was covered up with pen. I then ran to my room to grab my phone.

The dog gave me a curious look before following me back to the living room. I quickly snapped a picture at Tyler's face before putting my phone on the kitchen table and locking it up.

I looked at the dog's food bowl to see it still full. I don't get why the dog wouldn't eat his food. I mean, there's nothing wrong with it. I bought that dog food when Julian told me that I had to take care of his dog for an entire month.

I heard the dog start to growl in the living room. I took a look and saw him growling a few inches away from Tyler's face.

Tyler slowly opened his eyes, and then his eyes widen in horror once he was wide awake. He jumped back on the couch and knocked the entire couch down. I've never seen Tyler jump so far in my life, that dog must really scare him.

I was laughing so hard that tears were coming out of my eyes. Tyler looked at me like I had five heads. The dog growled at him again and Tyler dove behind the couch for protection.

"How can you be laughing? This dog looks like he's ready to kill me!" Tyler exaggerated. I rolled my eyes at his behavior. I grabbed the dog's leash and placed it on his collar.

"I'm taking the dog to the store to buy him some stuff for him to take a shower. You can make sure that the tub is ready for him, and make sure everything breakable is out of the bathroom," I informed Tyler while walking out the front door.

I walked back into the house with a smile on my face and the plastic bag in my one hand while the leash was in another.

"What's with the smile?" Tyler asked me while I made my way towards my bathroom where we were giving the dog a bath. The dog laid down on my bed while me and Tyler got everything else ready.

"While I was at the store, I ran into Julian," I started, but Tyler interrupted me.

"That sick bastard! I'm going to kill him one day," Tyler grumbled the last part. A smile appeared on my face when I think about what happened at the store.

"Calm down Tyler, I got Julian banned from that store forever," I informed Tyler with a smile on my face.

"I'm afraid to ask how, but I also want to know, so go on," Tyler said. I could tell this time he was going to stay silent while I explained.

"I got Julian so mad that he attacked me, which is what I wanted. Then, after he attacked me I started yelling rape and the dog started barking once Julian tried to keep me quiet. He wasn't going to do anything, but the manager caught him straddling me and kicked him out for almost raping me," I explained short and sweet.

"I would have loved to see his face when he got kicked out," Tyler said while shaking his head at me. I knew he was happy I did that to Julian, and it felt good knowing that I could torture Julian without him doing anything to me. He can't take anyone else away from me, I've got no one in my family left.

"Alright, now where's the dog?" Tyler asked me. We both looked into the doorway and on my bed to see the dog snoring.

"This might be a while," I informed Tyler while looking at the big dog snoring on my bed.
