Chapter 6

Ami's P.O.V.

"I can't believe how long that took! I'm never helping you with making that dog take a bath," Tyler said while looking at his bitten up shirt. The dog practically chewed Tyler's shirt right off him. It was still Saturday, only instead of daytime, it was nighttime.

"I can't believe it took us all day to make that dog take a bath, and he wasn't even afraid of the water!" I yelled. I've only heard that dogs don't like to take baths because they're afraid of the water.

Once we got that dog in the water, he was jumping around like crazy, but in a playfull way. We finally knew why he didn't want to take a bath though.

"I'm never getting that dog off your bed again. He attacked me after you made me go through with that plan," Tyler said while trying to calm his breathing down. He was still pretty... jumpy after having that giant dog chase him around the house and practically eat him.

"My plan worked, we got him off my bed and into the bathtub," I replied.

After two hours of trying to get that dog in the water, I had a plan that involved Tyler. Tyler was going to get the dog angry and chase Tyler around the house so he could get off my bed.

Tyler was chased around the entire house, even outside. That dog had gotten a few bite marks on Tyler's shirt, and he was lucky he didn't loose any skin.

I had to lock my bedroom and we had to switch everything from my bathroom to my aunt and uncle's. The dog tried to get in my room for another half hour while I watched him.

Then for an hour, Tyler and I were able to wash the dog. Well, mostly me since the dog kept growling at Tyler everytime he tried to get close. The weird thing was that every time I rubbed the shampoo and conditioner into the dogs fur, he would close his eyes and purr like a cat.

The first time Tyler laughed at the dog's reaction I ended up getting wet and Tyler jumped out of his skin when the dog ran out of the tub and after him again. Tyler did the smart thing and locked me in the bathroom with the dog.

Once the dog was dried, I unlocked my bedroom and Tyler and I were now sitting on my couch watching TV. The dog headed to my bedroom where he fell asleep again.

Tyler said he had to go home because tomorrow was his mom's birthday. I then just remembered something and told Tyler to come over so we could surprise his mom with something for her birthday.

"Ok, and I'm picking you up on Monday for school," Tyler told me right before he left.

Dog's P.O.V.

I heard the door close shut and figured that boy left. I was sick of him, and I'm about ready to rip his head right off his neck.

I tried killing him when he woke me up from my sleep, but that didn't work out like I planned. Instead the bedroom door gets locked right behind me.

I wanted to change into my human to unlock it, but then Ami would see me and probably freak. Back to the present.

I watched as Ami then came running into her room and threw a bag on her bed right next to me. She turned her lamp on, and I sat up to see what she was looking for.

Her glasses were on, and I have to say, she kind of looks cute in them. She pulled out this old looking book that looked about ready to fall apart.

She then jumped onto her couch and opened the notebook and started reading it. I took a closer look at the notebook because it looked really familiar. That's when I finally saw it!

My family's symbol was on the cover of this notebook. It was the symbol of the crow. The crow meant sacred law, clear messages, and straight talk. That mostly described me and my family.

There's to many symbols for me to name though. Another one is the phoenix, the recreation of earth. I mean, I am the son of the King and Queen of my island.

Ami looked so interested in reading a notebook that belonged to my family. But how could she have gotten it, no human from this land has ever been to our island except for one person.

But that person wasn't even a girl. My parents told me that a man had stumbled upon our island one day and at first we had taken him as a prisoner. My mother said he showed up before I was born, so I wouldn't remember anything.

My parents have only told me about this man that showed up, he couldn't change into different animals like my people and I can.

My parents found that strange and had someone watching over that man for a long time. My mother was walking around one day while a few days pregnant with me and all of a sudden someone on our island decided to attack her.

They tried pushing her off the balcony, and when a woman is pregnant on my island, they can not change into their animals.

That man saved me and my mother that day. He was the only one that noticed a man wearing all black sneaking up on my mother while she was walking through the castle.

That man saved my mother from falling just in time, and he caught the man that was trying to kill my mother. He's always been known as a hero that day and we helped him get back home only if he promised to keep our island a secret.

No one has found our island since then. I've heard so many stories about this man and wanted to see if this place was really real. Turned out that it was, these people really can't change into animals like us.

I only came here to see if I could find that man, but I was never able to. He would have known who I was, but I don't know who he is.

I noticed that Ami was looking at the book in complete shock and disbelief. I wonder what she's reading if it has my family's symbol on it.

"My father has got to be crazy, none of this stuff could be real," Ami said while thinking. The book was facing down on her pants.

"It doesn't make sense, Julian is more crazy then I thought if he wants my parents because of this. Then again..." Ami left the sentence hanging while flipping through pages in the book. I'll find out what she's reading after she falls asleep.

Ami's P.O.V.

It's been so long since I've seen my wife. I hope that it hasn't been nine months yet or else I would miss seeing our first child. I wish I could somehow contact Amy and let her know that I'm alright. This place doesn't scare me anymore, and I hope one day I could show this place to my wife and child.

Queen Charlotte has annouced that she's having a baby boy, an heir to the thrown. I really love this place, but everyday I dread coming here instead of staying at home with my wife and unborn child. The queen and king are both helping me trying to get back home, but as I look at the sinking sun, I'm not sure I ever will make it back home.

I flipped the page over to read a new entry that my dad had wrote. This book is unbelievable. If any of this is true than I could see why Julian would want his hands on it.

After so long... I'm finally going home. King William has told me that my wife is only three months pregnant. I will be able to go home and stay with my wife and raise our child. This is the happiest day of my life. I will never forget about these kind people.

I know they weren't kind to me at first, but I had a feeling they wouldn't harm me. The king and queen are madly in love with each other, and I think they can see the pain I'm feeling from being so far away from my wife and unborn child.

The queen will have her son soon. They both hope that I could come back here and visit with my wife and child, and I promised them I would do the best I could.

I would love to show my wife this beautiful place. It's so full of life here, and it's a nice place to get away from all the technology. I hope one day I can return with my family and show them what I saw.

I hope to return and see the new prince. King William said his son's name would be Prince Kristopher, such a nice name for a future ruler.

Holy cow! That was the last entry my dad had ever written. He got to return home, and I've seen pictures of my mother, father, and me when I was first born. I read everything my dad ever wrote in this book.

My dad wrote down every quest he had for the king and queen. The island was filled with people that could shapeshift into any animal they pleased.

He also talked about how when they shift back into their human self they appear with no clothes on. Also how when a male turns twenty they're able to find something called their bride. It's similar to a mate. Ok, I might have seen Twilight where Bella and Jacob were mates, that's the only way I know that a bride is the same thing as a mate.

What I was so confused about was why would Julian want me to watch his dog? I didn't even know that Julian had a dog.

I looked at the dog curiously, it couldn't possily be. There was no way Julian could have actually captured someone from the island. That's impossible! Everyone on the island seems so much smarter than dumbass Julian over here.

But now that I think about it and everything that's happened with this dog, he could possibly be from the island.
