Summit

When they entered Polis Nia couldn't help but smile as she saw Jade and Fox. The two held looks of wonder, taking in the capital. Nia had been wanting to bring them more than once but figured the trip was too risky. It wasn't till Lexa had requested to see them that she saw an opportunity. With them traveling in a bigger group than normal the girls would have better protection.

So now the girls were able to explore the wonders the capital had to offer. They separated from the group and went around to the vendors that were there, taking in the trinkets and foods. Nia liked how they were able to smile in an environment where they always been on the brink of war.

"I know you'd both like it." Nia exclaimed as they rushed over to her rambling about a certain vendor.

"It's amazing!" Fox expressed as she glanced up at the tower.

But it wasn't long till Indra had spotted the girls when she exited the tower. She saw the two younger girls glance around excitingly while Nia's main focus was on them. She didn't want to disrupt their moment but she needed to see Skaikru's leaders.

"Nia." She address when she was close. "Girls. I'm glad you got here all right."

"Look around. I'll be back in a bit." Nia instructed the girls when she knew what her leader wanted.

After the quick address Nia left the girls to roam while they went to locate Kane and Abby. It wasn't long till they found the two talking amongst one another.

"Kane." Indra called out as they made their way over.

"Hello, my friend." He greeted and their hand met in their traditional handshake.

"Chancellor Griffin, welcome. I hope you're enjoying the capital." Indra spoke to the woman behind Kane.

"I am. And thank you for ensuring my daughter's safety." The woman commented back. She had been more than pleased to know her daughter was alive and found, but didn't like the fact that she wasn't allow to see her yet.

"The commander did that. You can thank her yourself at the summit." Indra told her.

"I would like to see her." Abby was more than anxious to see her daughter.

"Soon." Indra reassured sensing the woman's anxiety.

"Abby." Kane slightly scolded. They were visitors in the capital, they had no power to make demands.

Nia had sensed the air get rather uncomfortable and excused herself. She went to find the girls and bring them to the tower. She figure it would be good for them to see Lexa before the summit started.

They entered the tower and Nia began to lead them toward the room that was reserved for her. When they entered the girls threw their packs on the bed and made their way to overlook the view.

Lexa had heard of their presence and made her way toward the room. She had wanted to see how the girls progressed in their skills and in themselves. When she entered she saw Nia looked in the direction of the balcony and joined her. The girls caught her sight as they stood there smiles on their faces.

"They've grown." Lexa stated beside Nia.

"In more ways than one." Nia commented back. "They are better with a sword."

"We should test that theory one day." Lexa hinted at a training session. But the thought that enter Nia's mind wasn't harmless training but rather the fighting she and Lexa had done for survival.

"Hopefully not too soon." She admitted quietly, Lexa picking up on the meaning she was hinting too.

"They have you Nia, and whoever has you standing beside them has the advantage." Lexa offered her sister comfort. They shared a smile and Lexa decided that was a better time as any. "I'd like you to stand with me tonight. We'd present a united and strong front."

"I have always stood beside you, Lexa. And it be my honor to be beside you tonight." Nia confirmed.

The two stayed in their moment before the two girls made their way over. And that's where they found themselves staying and spending some time discussing things. Before long it was time for Lexa to leave and get ready and in addition for Nia to get ready. A dress was present to her, the top was a long sleeve black while the bottom flared out in a mix of black and grey.

The sun had begun to set when a guard knocked on the door and announced it was time for the summit. He escorted them all toward the throne room where it would be held.

Upon entering Nia had instructed Jade to stand by Indra and Fox to Kane. Once they left her side, she made her way over to Lexa's left side standing one step down and glanced around the room. The ambassadors of each clan standing on either side with few advisors with them.

Lexa wore a black dress with her signature commander paint over her eyes. Soon the woman standing off to the side began to sing a traditional song. The doors opened up and Clarke entered wearing a dress as well. Her eyes covered with a paint style marking her Wanheda.

When she was standing in front of Lexa the blonde to a moment before lowered to her knees and bowed her head. It was another minute till Prince Roan took the first step and bowed as well. Everyone else following shortly after. Nia had turned to Lexa and lowered as well. Everyone stayed in this position till the woman had finished singing her song.

"Hail warriors of the twelve clans." Lexa addressed around the room.

"Hail commander of the blood." They replied back.

"Rise." Lexa instucted everyone allowing them to stand before discussing the reasoning they were there. "We welcome Skaikru to our halls, in the spirit of friendship and harmony. And we welcome Clarke Kom Skaikru, legendary Wanheda, mountain slayer. The reason for this summit has changed. We are not here to negotiate a treaty with the Skaikru, but rather to initiate them into the coalition." Lexa announced causing whispers to spread around the room. But regardless of the whispers, Lexa continued. "To symbolize this union, the leader of Skaikru must bear our mark."

Kane looked to Abby who in turned looked to him. She whispered something to him before the man turned to Lexa suggesting that he would be the one.

"Present your arm." Lexa instructed and motioned to the one who would mark him.

The mark was presented on Kane's arm but suddenly the doors bursted opened. Everyone's attention drawn to them immediately. Nia gasped in shocked when she saw Bellamy enter with his pistol against a guard's head.

"Bellamy?" Clarke cried out shocked to see him standing there.

His eyes glanced at here before they settled on Jade who stood not far off. When he didn't see Nia standing beside her, his eyes went frantic around till they settled on her. If it had been any other situation he would've admired her appearance like any other day, but a threat was present. Time was limited.

"What is the meaning of this?" Titus questioned determined to receive an answer for the intrusion.

"The summit's a trap. We need to get you out of here." He answered without much detail. He was relieved to see the girls unharmed but still needed to get them out.

"What the hell is going on?" Clarke asked Lexa seeking an explanation.

"I don't know." Lexa said truthfully. She was still trying to grasp the situation myself.

"It's the Ice Nation." Bellamy provided further. His statement caused them to look at the accused clan.

"These allegations are an outrage. The Ice Nation never stormed this summit with weapons, breaking our laws, that was the Skaikru." The Ice Nation ambassador defended.

"We're right about this. The two guards you left behind are dead already. We need to go now." Pike spoke out supporting the threat.

"How did you come by this information?" Lexa questioned trying to find the source.

The group looked around them trying to locate the person who informed them but couldn't find her.

"Where the hell is Echo?" Octavia asked Bellamy when they couldn't see her.

By then Nia had made her way over and sighed when she heard the name. She did not like the direction this was taking. This intrusion led Skaikru look bad. They had stormed into the capital concealing weapons lured by false information.

"What's going on? Where the hell is she?" Bellamy rattled off questions trying to figure out what was happening.

"Bell, maybe we were wrong about this." Octavia stated about the situation.

"I don't understand." Bellamy said confused.

"Stand down." Kane commanded taking Bellamy's gun from him.

A moment later the sound of his radio sounded. "Bellamy. Bellamy, come in. The Grounders attacked Mount Weather." Raven's voice came through.

Her words shocked them. Clarke looked up toward Lexa. While Bellamy sent a glare toward Lexa. This made Nia take a step into his eye line. She didn't believe that Lexa would carry out this order.

"What are you talking about?" Bellamy responded, his eyes flickered toward Nia before returning to Lexa.

"It's gone, it's gone. They're all gone, Sinclair and I are the only ones left. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry." Raven cried through the radio.

"You should have never moved your people back into Mount Weather. The Ice Nation did what Lexa was too weak to do." The ambassador announced.

"This is an act of war." Lexa yelled out.

During this commotion, the information had settled into Nia. First, Skaikru had moved into Mount Weather without her knowledge. Second, Azgeda had destroyed it. But what got to her the most was when she had glanced around. She hadn't seen Alec among them. She had known Alec went to Mount Weather, so where was he now? Was he in the mountain? Was he dead? The whole thing had made her sick.

"Bellamy, where's Alec?" Nia had barely questioned quietly taking a step toward him. But the movement was a mistake on her part. She was too lost in her thoughts to notice the ambassadors movement.

Azgeda was on a mission. One that would get them on top. They needed to stop the alliance of Skaikru and they needed to cripple the commander. Getting rid of Mount Weather would deal with Skaikru. But getting rid of Nia would deal with Lexa. To them Nia was a clan traitor bidding for the outside clan. So when she took that step closer the ambassador went quickly and grabbed her.

He yanked her back and drew a knife from his pocket. The blade went to her neck ready to slash at anyone's slightest movement. For now they would use her to get from Polis and kill her when they were clear.

As soon as she was taken there was various movements around the room. Bellamy pulled his gun and aimed. Jade and Fox went to her but were held back by Kane and Abby. Lexa took a menacing step down the steps. Her eyes locked on them.

"Let her go." Bellamy demanded ready to fire at a clean shot.

Nia kept herself steady. She had been in situations more intense than this and all she had to do was wait for her moment.

Lexa saw the look in her eyes and knew what she had to do. "If you cut her, you won't live to see another day. I will kill you and your family and anyone else you hold dear." She spoke drawing his attention to her.

Steadily, Nia began to move her hand up till she had a grip on his. He had no clue about what would happen next. In a quick moment she yanked his fingers back as far as they could go and kept pulling. His hissed out at the sudden movement and Nia saw her shot. She pulled her elbow back hard and into his ribs. After that she sent an elbow to his nose. When he went back, she went forward.

Once she was free the guards behind grabbed ahold of them. Lexa shouted orders when Nia was freed.

"Sentries, arrest the Ice Nation delegation! Including the Prince."

With them being taken from the room Lexa took the moment to look over Nia. Not seeing a cut anywhere on her neck made her relax. Azgeda had always been known to favor poisons more than anyone.

"We need to get home. If they attacked Mount Weather, Arkadia could be next." Abby sounded her concern.

"Go. Marshall your forces. We'll avenge the attack together." Lexa supported Indra would be the one to escort them and left to prepare.

"Clarke, we need to leave. Now." Bellamy spoke to Clarke.

"We need an ambassador from the thirteenth clan to stay in Polis." Lexa advised.

"It's not safe here." Bellamy tried to reason.

"Clarke will be safe here under protection." Lexa disagreed.

"I have to stay." Clarke made up her decision but her mother tried to protest. "I have to make sure she keeps her word."

Titus spoke to Lexa and Clarke said her goodbyes to her people. She made her way to Bellamy knowing he wouldn't like it.

"She left us to die on that mountain. She will always put her people first. You should come home to yours." He had been mad at Clarke for lying about Nia but he would feel more better if she was with them. But little did he know was a certain girl listening to their conversation.

Clarke simply apologized and Bellamy looked toward Nia. He held out his hand to her and spoke. "Nia."

But instead of taking his hand like he thought she looked to Lexa as if for confirmation. The action made Bellamy angry. He knew Lexa meant a great deal to her but with him being her boyfriend, he felt that she would look to him more.

Lexa simply nodded her head and Nia turned and left the room. The two girls following close behind. They gathered their things before making their way out of the tower and to where Skaikru was waiting.

"What's going to happen now?" Fox asked in a dreadful tone when they were inside the elevator. Nia stayed silent for a moment not knowing how to answer that question.

"I don't know." She answered truthfully, she didn't know what would happen next and that's what she hated. She didn't want for them to be at war but if Azgeda got what they wanted they would be.

A/N: Okay I know I published this earlier but Wattpad deleted the last part of it and I didn't want to leave it like it was.
