Hostages

They all sat crowed around the rover as they drove back to Arkadia. Raven talked about ALIE and how it connected with the mind and how it was also responsible for launching the bombs to reduce population. Clarke mentioned Bekka Pramheda, the first commander and how the blood of the commanders could be used to access the chip she possessed. Finding Luna would help them be able to shut down ALIE.

Bellamy spoke up as they got closer and radioed the others but received no answer from them. So with much caution they approached Arkadia. Those who could fight exited the truck while Jasper, Raven, Monty and Jade stayed inside the rover. The girl wanted to exit as well but Fox argued against before closing her inside.

"We left two days ago. Why haven't they fixed the gate?" Clarke wondered why they would just leave themselves open to an attack.

"Maybe cause there's no one here to fix it." Jasper pointed out the lack of people that should be outside to greet them.

"It's like a ghost town." Octavia as no one seemed to be in sight. She shared a look with Fox as they were ready for anything that might pop out.

"Miller, where the hell are you? I don't like this." Bellamy asked over the radio but continued to enter through the gates. He swore he wouldn't put Jade or Fox into danger and there he was walking them right into a sketchy situation.

"Maybe they got chipped." Jasper offered an option as their friends seem to have vanished.

"If they got chipped, they'd be waiting for us at the cave." Bellamy stated against his statement.

"Maybe they saw the open gate and went for Lincoln's book." Jasper added another option.

"Maybe you should stop saying 'maybe'." Octavia retorted not like any of the options he provided.

"If they are chipped, ALIE already knows were coming." Clarke address how the AI knew about everyone that was connected to her.

They all halted once they entered fully but the position they held happened to be in viewpoint of the pools of blood. Both different Trikru warriors that met death at the hands of Pike.

"Let's get his book and get the hell out of here." Octavia spoke up not liking to be in the same place where she watched the one she loved die.

"That's a plan I can support." Jasper agreed with her statement.

"Lincoln and Alec." Bellamy informed Clarke as she looked at them questionably. His words brought Fox into the reality they were facing. She had been looking at where Alec once was and remembered Nia's scream as she fought in arms. She took a breath before following behind the rover into the hanger bay.

"Close it up, turn the rover around. We may need to get outta here quickly." Bellamy instructed while they took a look around at the place they had once called home.

"It's like they just got up and walked away." Clarke commented on how everything was a mess.

"We're in and out. Pack as much gear as you can into the Rover." Bellamy ordered not wanting to stay longer than they should. They were racing against a clock that would spread faster and faster.

"I'll get the map." Octavia said as was the only one who knew where it would be.

"I'll go with her. No one should be alone." Jasper recommend after following along.

"You don't wanna load gear, huh?" Sinclair joked to lighten the mood around them.

"Not even a little." Jasper joked back before leaving after Octavia.

"What's the rush? They won't be coming back." Raven wondered aloud why they would leave so quickly after getting there.

"How do you know?" Clarke asked not wanting anyone to come surprise them.

"ALIE's mission is to chip everyone. It wouldn't make sense to return to a place she already took." Raven responded with what she remembered when she was chipped.

"It might make sense if there's someone in that place, i.e. you, who could tell us stuff like that." Sinclair reasoned as she was the one they were able to disconnect from the chip.

"Good point. Let's load gear." Raven realized as goes to help them pack.

Jade tried to wonder off at that point but Fox catches her and simply follows behind. They go down the once familiar halls until they were outside the room that was once theirs. Jade enters without hesitating before going into the corner she hung out in most. Books littered here and there while a box that held small trinkets sat against the wall. She opens it up and begins to dig inside it.

"What are you doing?" Fox asked as Jade began to frustrated with what she was looking for.

"Lincoln gave me a book. It held his sketches. He was teaching me to draw." She answered simply as she moved from the box to the bed. She turned the pillows before shaking the blanket and the book fell from the being wrapped up in it. "I forgot it last time."

Fox picked up the sadden tone in her voice as she said the last sentence. They had left in such a rush that they hadn't grabbed all that they may have wanted. Now they were separated from Nia and had lost two dear friends and mentors in a matter of days. Fox figured that the sudden changes were beginning to take a toll on the young girl.

"We'll be together soon." She comforted as best as she could. Their only attachment now is Nia.

A bang caught their attention as they both look toward the door. Fox edged forward carefully hoping to peek out and see what had happened. But as soon as she stepped forward a person rushed through and knocked her backward. Jade went to her sword but the man brought a hand back and slap her across the face.

"Jade, run!" Fox yelled at her as she brought her sword and went to attack the person.

With the person being distracted by Fox's attack, Jade slipped out of the room and began to run. She needed someone to help.

Fox's attack seemed useless as he overcame her in a matter of seconds. He blocked her sword and pushed her back again this time her head hit hard against the wall knocking her unconscious. He looked behind to see if Jade might be close but the girl was nowhere in sight.

Jade as fast as she could until she realized she was heading in the wrong direction of the hanger bay. Quickly she made her way to the front as she stumbled out into the open. She went around the side to yell and call but was able to locate Bellamy inside the weapons storage.

"Jade?" Bellamy was surprised to see the small girl running at him. "What is it? What happened?" He tried to question.

"He took Fox." She gasped out as she tried to tell him. She went to explain more but Clarke come out coughing. He went to assist her as he tried to figure out what happened inside.

"What is it? What is going on?" He questioned needing an explanation.

Clarke only offered the name of someone they didn't think they would ever hear from again.

Bellamy needed to check on Monty and Fox as someone was attacking them from inside. He had sent Jade back to the hanger bay to keep her safe from harm. It wasn't they got there that they realized that Emerson had taken Monty. He called for his sister hoping she might be safe but received no answer. They had a threat to deal with now. One that was picking them off one by one.

"Raven, are you okay? Where are you?" Bellamy radioed wondering about the rest of them.

"Still in engineering. We're fine." Raven responded wondering what was happening.

"Raven, listen to me. Emerson is here. Are the others with you? Did Jade make it there?" He informed before wondering about the small girl who had been with him previous.

"Jade just got here." She informed quickly as Jade entered through the doors. "It's just us and Sinclair. Mount Weather Emerson?"

"Yes. Okay, lock down the hanger bay, don't let anyone in but is." He instructed over the radio.

"Stay here. I'll lock the door." Sinclair told the girls as Raven took Jade by her side. "Is this guy Emerson, chipped?" Sinclair asked wondering if ALIE knew when they were there.

"He wasn't as of yesterday. He wants revenge." Raven informed wondering aloud.

"He took Fox." Jade added her piece of information but before anyone could ask her for more details the lights suddenly went out.

"Raven? Jade?" Sinclair wondered where they would be.

"Shh. He's here! He's inside the hanger bay." Raven said aloud trying to keep her grip on Jade. But a hit from behind made her loosen her grip as another came and took out her legs. Sinclair yelled for her. With nothing to see the inside with Jade stood frozen as an attack could come at any moment.

"Open the outer door! He cut the power, so do it manually! Jade, hide!" Raven yelled out. There was nothing they could do if they weren't allowed to see. She crawled her way under the rover hoping it would provide cover from an attack.

Sinclair went to the outer door to open it while Jade had been crouched in a small space. Pounds on the door could be heard but Jade held her breath as she sat there no making a sound. But that proved useless as a second later hands grabbed ahold of her. A scream slipped passed her lips before it was muffled and something was shot into her system. The sound of her scream could be heard through the door as Bellamy's heart dropped. Her eyes fluttered into darkness as she slipped into unconsciousness.

Emerson worked quickly as he attacked Sinclair successfully brining Raven out of the rover. With two more in his clutches he left to his bring his plan into effect.

Bellamy and Clarke entered the hanger bay to see that they had lost another friend. They looked for the other two that should be in there but once again no one was there. This time Clarke picked up the radio and began to talk to Emerson through it. She agreed to give herself up in exchange for her friends but Bellamy didn't agree with that approach. So together they devised a plan to get them all free.

But when they approached the airlock Emerson had a plan of his own. He used Octavia to lure Bellamy out of his position and into the airlock. With them all locked inside he began to vent the air from them. They all gasped for breath as they looked at one another in what they thought was their final moments.

Bellamy looked at his sister before glancing at Jade. The girl slumped against Fox as fear flashed in her eyes. He had once again failed to keep those closest to him safe. He had also taken the two girls that Nia had cared about since the beginning. She would be alone in this world and it would've been his fault. He had taken her whole family from her and there was nothing he could ever do to make it better.

But before death could take them the oxygen began to come back, Clarke had saved their lives. After his restraints were undone he quickly freed his sister and the two girls beside them. No one seemed to notice the tear marks Jade except for Bellamy and Fox. Fox hugged her close and soothed her soundly while Bellamy felt hopeless and watched.

He had hurt everyone that meant something to him and in order to get them back he needed them to know that he would be there for them. He would try his hardest to protect them and not let his actions be the ones to harm him.

That night as they watched Lincoln and Sinclair he whispered the words he had before. He would do what was best to keep them safe without spilling blood. He would change for the better. He would change for Nia. He would get his family back.
