Big Hearts & Teardrops
Her heart grew bigger in size for him
Even when he was slowly
cracking her heart
Splitting her mind
She couldn't feel the pain until
Time was up
Then she was hit so hard
That she was shut down
Pain so bad that her tears
Felt like tiny needles against her skin
Her heart shrunk
And her mind shook.

Painful
She tried to ignore the pain
but that made it worse
So she listened
And soon enough everything else
Made sense
And her wounds told her stories
Of places she had been,
People she had left
And that healing...
was not the end.

Two poems because I didn't post any yesterday because I was writing. Can someone please tell me why I'm up at 2 in the morning still writing? I hope you guys have a wonderful day today! Sleep well. :)
