"The winter ball is in a month! A whole month! And I still don't know what to wear" Pansy cried, as we walked to potions "honestly pans, like you said it's in a whole month! You have plenty of time to find something. Why don't we go down to hogsmade over the weekend and have a look in the dress shop down there"

When we reached potions I took my seat beside Draco "hey" he said "hiya" I said, we sat down and slughorn gave us our instructions for the lesson. We would be making up our own batch of vertrinism, which was lucky for us as I brewed a batch when we were on the run. "I've got this one down" i said as I put ingredients into the pot "how do you know this potion so well?" He asked "I've brewed it before, it's a lot easier than what many think"

Draco added the last few ingredients and we let it brew for 15minutes "Professor" I said, slughorn came over and checked the potion "my miss zabini, mr Malfoy...have you ever brewed this potion before?" He asked "Umm..of course not Professor" I said, failing to hide the squeak in my voice "well this is outstanding. Once cleaned up I'll pour you each a vile and then you are free to leave" he said with a smile. When we received our vile we walked out and headed down to the courtyard "what do you have next period?" I asked him

"I've quidditch practise, Don't you have charms next?" He asked me "no, I'm free till dinner. Oh! Can I come watch you play quidditch, I'll bring Pansy she's free as-well" i said "sure, just stay out of the way though, this new fourth year we brought on has an amazing shot but he can get quite violent if he doesn't get his own way" Draco said, grabbing his bag as the bell rang "I don't think I'm worried, I'll go grab Pansy I'll meet you in the pitch" I said, giving him a quick kiss.

"Pansy! Pans!" I shouted through the crowd, both her and Harry turned around "I'm heading down to watch Slytherin practise now you want to come?" I asked "I thought gryffindor was practicing harry?" She said turning to him "so did I, I'm sure there's been a mistake in the chart otherwise we are just going to have to split the pitch in half" he said

"it won't be too bad, you and Draco are mates now there won't be any arguing at least" I said, "maybe not from us but from the others yes" he said, he said he'd meet us in the pitch and we walked down. When we got there Slytherin were already on the pitch, "Draco!" I shouted, he was in the sky but came down when he seen me "what's up love?" He asked "gryffindor is also meant to be practicing now, harry thinks their might be a mistake but he said he'll sort it with you when they get out" I said to him

"oh this will be interesting, be ready to dish out detentions" he said and he flew up. Seconds later the gryffindor team flew out only to see the pitch was being used "Hey! what the fuck" dean shouted. Both teams flew down and Harry and Draco walked over to each other "well mate" Draco said "we can make this work, we'll just split the pitch" Harry said, Draco nodded but the others began to argue "Wait you want us to share a pitch with a bunch of snakes?!" Ron shouted

"his voice annoys me, but I need to hear the drama! let's get closer!" Pansy said jumping up and we walked over "Here I don't think many of us want to share it with you pricks either, but can you not make it work?" Theo shouted "fuck off nott no one asked you" Dean shouted "right the whole lot of you fuck up, obviously this is a new thing the teachers are making us do so you are going to shut your mouths and deal with it" Harry shouted to both teams

"We don't take commands from you Potter" one of the Slytherins shouted, he was small. He must be the fourth year Draco was on about "you all really know how to whine" Pansy shouted as she walked over to Slytherin team and I walked over to gryffindor "you all sound like baby's fighting over the fucking last chocolate frog, get over yourselves. Now, you may not take directions from Harry but you sure as hell will take them from me! Gryffindor is on this side, Slytherin is on the other and any issues please do bring them up with me" I shouted

"do you agree with the arrangements harry?" I asked, he nodded. I walked over to Draco "do you agree with them?" "Definitely" He said, I kissed his cheek "good now both teams go and practise" I shouted walking back over "actually Granger I don't agree with them" one Slytherin said. It was that fourth year "Mike don't even think about going near them get your ass back in line!" Draco shouted as he walked over

"This seems like it's going to be fun" Pansy said as we got up "what's the issue then" i said " oh and by the way, it's zabini. Not granger" I spat "different name same slag" he said shrugging his shoulders "you've got a big mouth for a 14 year-old, I'm not gonna take some abuse from a fourth year so either do as your captain told you or Slytherins losing points" I said, for a fourth year he was quite tall, I was still taller though. He squared up to me, and lifted his wand in front of him. I'd left mine in my bag "reducto" he shouted

"Protego!" I shouted waving my hand in front of me. He looked dumbstruck "Reducto!" He shouted once again "Protego!" I said "that's twice you've shot the same curse, and twice you've tried to throw a curse at the head girl and your captain/Head boys girlfriend. I don't see this ending well for you" I said, he walked away "50points lost for assaulting another student and a weeks detention for using hex's outside of the classroom" I said. Theo whacked him up the head with his broom and the practise continued.

Me and Pansy mainly talked about ideas for the winter ball but there were a few incidents we focused on. Like, Blaise accidentally hitting ron with the bludger because he slagged off Pansy. Draco nearly knocking Ron off his broom because he slagged off Pansy and Harry actually knocking him off his broom because he slagged off Pansy. It was all quite amusing until a physical fight started between dean and Theo

"HEY!" I shouted, running over. Draco, Blaise and Harry were doing their best to pry the two off each other but couldn't. Me and Pansy stepped infront of them and they quickly froze "You really are children, who started the fight" I asked. They all said it started because Theo said he was a better chaser than dean and dean decided to get physical "seriously" i said turning to dean "Piss off hermione, you know you seem pretty stuck up all these guys holes. I get zabini is your brother but did you forget you have other friends not just these snakes?" Dean asked

"no dean obviously not. I forgot about the ones that forgot about me. Simple as, and I'd rather hang around with a bunch of snakes than a bunch of assholes. Now due to the fact that you started the fight-" I began "you loose 25 points and you and Theo will both serve a nights detention" Draco finished, Theo nodded, obviously not really giving a damn and they went and got changed and cleaned up.

During dinner news had spread about mike attacking me, I hadn't got a chance to bring it up with mcgonagol but I could tell from the look in her eye she believed I handled it well enough. "He may watch his back, apparently his brothers that guy Luke in Ravenclaw, he's looking words with Hermione" Harry said as he sat down "He can have them" I said, not bothered "seriously? Hermiones he's known for hitting girls in school" Harry continued

"And? You honestly think that scares me? I went up against Voldemort. Tell him I'll meet him the courtyard tonight, he can have all the words he wants there" I said, shrugging my shoulders. Draco just stared at me, a smirk on his face "what?" I said nudging him, he wrapped his arm round my shoulder "it's terrifying how brave you are" he said with a laugh "it's actually is a bit scary hermione" Theo said, I laughed "it's the gryffindor in me I guess" I said simply, looking down at my house crest and smiling.

It's was midnight, I had Harry tell Luke to meet me and he did. Little did I know Draco and the others had followed me down. I noticed a few people come with Luke and smirked at him "I thought this was going to be a private conversation?" I smirked "I don't do private" he smiled "it's a good thing you don't, if you did come on your own your ass would be toast by now" I laughed "enough of this shit, what do you think gives you the right to fucking talk shit and take house points off my brother!?" He shouted

"The fact I'm head girl is kinda a right, but also if any student thinks their going to threaten me and throw hex's at me can learn the hard way that it isn't to happen again" I spat at him. The ring on my finger began to burn, and I turned around to see Blaise and the boys standing there, Luke hadn't seen him yet. "Granger you paying attention or what?" He shouted

"For the last damn time it's Zabini" I sighed "like my brother said, different name same slag" he spat, walking closer. His wand stretched out "what are you gonna do?" I spat, walking closer. "Reducto" he shouted, I was to late to react and was flung against the wall, I was beside the boys who he still hadn't noticed "don't move" I hissed, I got up using the wall for support "you've fucked up" I spat, I pointed my hand infront of him and mimicked using a wand "pertrifyis totalious" I said, he froze up.

"Wingardium leviosa" I muttered, he began to float "come out now" I said, the boys walked out, Wands pointed at lukes friends. Draco walked over wrapping his arm round my waist as the other three stood by my side "I would advise...you take your friend here, and we don't speak a word of this little thing....or these four will deal with you instead" i said with a smile,. They took Luke's frozen up body and left,

I dropped my hand and wrapped it round Draco, pulling him into a hug. He kissed the top of my head, Blaise had a hold of my hand and when I let go of Draco, he hugged me aswell "you definitely get your slyness from mum, she'd be so proud" he said, I laughed and we parted way. My hand was linked with Draco's as we walked back to our dorm, cloak hoods up and staying away from the teacher. When we reached the door I whispered the password "unity" we walked in and I went upstairs and got changed.

I changed into a pair of bed shorts and one of Draco's hoodies, I pulled on fluffy socks and walked over to Draco's room. I knocked on the door "come in" he shouted, I walked in and just climbed into his bed "someone's tired" he said, walking in from the bathroom, I nodded. He climbed in beside me and placed his lips on mine "goodnight princess" he whispered, wrapping his arms round me, "goodnight drake"
