(Draco)

I was sitting in the three broomsticks with Blaise, Theo and Harry. It was Sunday and the girls decided they wanted to go Halloween costume shopping. We had went first and then the girls had went. They had been gone an hour before they walked through the door, bags full. Hermione had her hand linked with Pansy when they walked in, they really had gotten close. They took seats infront of us "what costumes did you get?" Blaise asked, passing Ginny his glass of butter beer

"No no, we aren't saying anything! It's going to be a surprise" Pansy said, stealing Theo's glass of fire whisky and taking a sip. "Hermione are you not even going to tell your brother?" Blaise asked, eyebrow raised. She was taken a sip of Harry's drink, we probably should have ordered them some "Nope! Not saying a word, it's gonna be a surprise. I'll tell you one thing though, it was definitely not me who choose it" she said with a smile, pointing at Pansy who looked innocent.

Hermiones smile could light up the room. You couldn't help but feel happier when she smiled. We all decided on walking back as we all had to finish homework due in for the next day. Well everyone apart from Hermione who had hers done and all.

When we hit the common room, Hermione whispered the password and swung the door open. She dived onto one of the seats and picked her book up from the table, suddenly deep into it. I laughed and walked over to the desk, pulling out my homework. When I finished it, it was an hour before dinner. I had been doing it for about an hour and a half as I realised I'd forgot about an esssy I had for transfiguration. Hermione was still reading her book, but she had the blanket wrapped round her.

I put my homework away and sat beside her, just watching her read. Her hazel green eyes, followed every word carefully and her mouth formed a small smile "you're staring" she said, not looking up "What?" I asked "you're staring" she said, turning round to face me. A smirk on her face "how did you know?" I asked "I felt it" she laughed. Putting down her book and turning herself fully round "what's up?" She asked, her hair had fallen from its ponytail and strands fell across her face "nothing" I said "okay you" she said with a smile, getting up.

I grabbed her hand and pulled her down, placing my lips on hers. It was a short kiss only lasting a few seconds, when I pulled away she just smiled "you know, I'm beginning to like this" she said with a smirk "As am I" I said. We chatted for awhile and decided to walk down to dinner. The halls were crowded with kids, when we reached the hall she went to go to the gryffindor table but I pulled her back "no you don't" I said dragging her to the Slytherin table "but Harry, Ginny and Blaise are over-" she started "And I'm sure they'll be completely fine with you sitting here" I said sitting her down in the seat beside Pansy.

Seconds later her and Pansy were engrossed in conversation. I sat beside Theo who looked at me "what?" I asked "mate, you'd tell me if something was going on between you two right?" He whispered "yea why?" I asked "Because there obviously is, do you like Hermione?" He whispered "what no, we are just friends" I muttered looking at Hermione who hadn't even been listening to us as she was to concentrated talking to Pansy "well you like her or she likes you but it's obvious somethings going on" he finished, winking at me. I rolled my eyes.

I noticed Weasel walk in, his eyes stared at the gryffindor table before moving over to the Slytherin one, once he spotted Hermione he began to walk towards us but when he caught mine and Theo's eyes he turned around "that's what I thought" Theo muttered "what?" Pansy asked turning to look at us "nothing" Theo said, both Hermione and Pansy rolled their eyes. Going to talking again. Dinner over all was pleasant. I noticed Astoria sitting with her sister and her friends. She looked pissed off but it was obvious she was planning something.

We all went down to the black lake, well everyone bar Hermione who said she wanted an early night as she had a full timetable tomorrow, no free periods. When I got back I heard screaming coming from upstairs, I ran up and heard the screaming coming from hermiones room. I opened the door and ran in. She was screaming and tears ran down her face but she was asleep "Hermione!" I said "Hermione!" I said again.

I continued to say her name for 5 minutes till she finally woke up. She gasped for air as her eyes shot open. Her eyes darted over the room till they met mine, she jumped slightly "hey it's only me" I said in a calming tone "r..right yea" she said, her voice shaking "Hermione what happened?" I asked, moving closer slightly "n..nothing...bad dream" she muttered "Hermione that wasn't a bad dream, you can trust me. You know that" I said, reaching for her hand. She pulled it away

"Hermione?" I walked over and turned the light on. When the light turned on I noticed blood over her duvet "Hermione what happened!?" I said quickly running over to see where it was coming from. It was coming  from her arm. I quickly got a damp cloth and some bandages and started cleaning up her arm. When the blood was gone I noticed the scar on her arm "oh my god..." I whispered "did my aunt..." I started, all she did was nod.

"I..I have night terrors..usually I take a dreamless sleep potion and cast a silence charm around the room. And wrap my arm up but I forgot to do well...all that tonight. I'm sorry if I scared you" She said, using her wand to clean the blood from the duvet "Don't apologise...I get them too" I said, she nodded "You sure you are okay?" I asked, she nodded and I got up to head to the door "No wait!" She said, I turned around "please don't go..." she said, a tear running down her cheek. I nodded and sat back down

"can you maybe stay in here tonight? I'm not gonna sleep for a while and I don't really want to be alone right now" she said, "yea of course" I said, she turned away and let me change. I pulled off my shoes and socks and then my trousers and shirt. She moved over to make room in the bed and I climbed in. It was awkward for a few seconds but Hermione had quickly moved back over and wrapped her arms round me "thank you Draco" she whispered. I pulled her closer and kissed the top of her head. An hour or so later I heard her breathing quiet and noticed she had fallen asleep. Quickly after I also began to drift off.

(Hermione)

The next morning I woke up with two arms wrapped round me, last nights events came back to me and I sighed. I looked up at Draco, he looked so peaceful when he was asleep. I brushed a few strand of hair off his face as he began to wake up "sorry, they were bothering me" I said laughing slightly "it's okay, how are you feeling?" He asked, moving away slightly and taking a look at my arm. The bandage was soaked but no blood had transferred anywhere

"I think we need to take a visit to madam Pomfrey" Draco said. I nodded and we pulled on our uniforms and grabbed our bags. We arrived at the nurse ward and Draco called for pomfrey who quickly walked out "what seems to be the problem?" She asked. I pulled back my sleeve and madam pomfrey didn't seem shocked "did you run out of the potion?" She asked me, I nodded "what potion?" Draco asked but he was ignored. The nurse peeled away the drenched bandage and dabbed the cut with a cloth that had been dipped in some Potion

"this seems like it was caused by a bad one, did you not take your dreamless sleep potion?" Pomfrey asked "I completely forgot, if Draco hadn't woke me up I think this might be a lot worse" i said "wait this isn't a lot worse?" He asked "no no dear, this is quite average. When you have a cursed scar this tends to happen sometimes, they usually are triggered by night terrors but if the person isn't woken up or doesn't wake up themselves it can be quite serious due to so much blood being lost" Pomfrey explained to him.

He just nodded "that's you sorted dear, take this potion and dab it on the scar for three days and then come back and I'll sort you out with a few more potions" she said with a smile, I nodded and me and Draco left "merlin, that shouldn't be so normal to her" he said "I've been quite a few times in the past month" I said. He only nodded. We had missed breakfast so we walked to our first class which was potions.

We knocked on the door "so sorry for being late Professor we had to go to the hospital ward" I said taking the seat Pansy had saved for me at the back while Draco went beside Harry. "Today class you will be put in pairs with the opposite house" slughorn said, there was few annoyed sighs but most didn't mind "the pairs are Pansy and Harry, Ron and Astoria, Hermione and Draco, Blaise and Ginny, Theo and lavender" he said as the pairs went and got the equipment listed on the board. Pansy and Harry sat at the desk in front of me and Draco.

We were brewing a love potion today and it would take at least two weeks to be made. He gave us are instructions and we began. "Right so we need to add in the flowers first and then some dreamless sleep potion on top of them" I said as Draco added in the ingredients. "We need to stir them together, the water needs to be hot" I said shooting a spell at the cauldron to boil the water. The next hour was spent adding and staring ingredients,

I couldn't help but notice how close Pansy and Harry had got and a smirk made it's way to my lips. After class I pulled Pansy round a Corner"what's up?" She asked "do you have a little thing with harry?" I asked "H..Harry? W-what no! I mean...he's cute and his eyes are really and oh when he smiles..." she said "YOU DO!" I shouted, gaining some stares, she flung her hand over her mouth "I do..." she said "I do! I like Harry Potter" she whispered. We burst out laughing and walked to our next class.

When lunch came about I shoved her into the seat next to Harry and I took the seat beside Ginny across from Draco. I smiled and began chatting to Ginny "I miss you in the common room, it's so lonely" Ginny said "I miss you too, we can do a sleep over this Friday after the party? Me, you and Pansy?" I asked, she nodded with a smile "can't wait!" She said, grabbing a piece of chicken off the plate in front of her "so sis what's new with you" Blaise said.

I turned around and met his eyes "nothing much, here what class do you have next?" I asked "I've a free next" he said "fuck sake, I've charms next" I muttered "oh so do I!" Theo shouted "Great! We can walk up together" I said with a smile. He nodded. After lunch me and Theo said good bye to the others and started to walk to charms, we laughed most of the way and laughed most of the class. The rest of the day was long but we finished school stuff on Tuesday so we could prepare for the party's as the rest of the school finished on Wednesday.
