"Look at her. She thinks she's above everybody just because Mr. Yusuf praised her for her performance in the test. " One of my classmates murmured.

I released a heavy sigh before I had a seat. I really don't get why they all hate me these much. They always say mean things about me. My primary school classmate were not as toxic as them. There are a lot of rich students. I always want to feel among them, but unfortunately, they shun me away like a piece of rag. I wiped off the tear that was rolling down my face. So much for being in secondary school.

Not anymore
I splashed water on my face as I stared at the mirror. I always find serenity when I look at myself in the mirror. I brushed my teeth and performed ablution. I took some short videos of my routine. Being a content creator is actually not that simple. I have to take videos of my day, I'm not really complaining. I chose this life after all.

I placed my phone on the wall and recorded how I made breakfast.
My sister descended downstairs all dressed in her uniform.
Mama followed suite.

"Good morning mama".
"Morning."

"Zara, I hope you don't have any pending assignment." Mama asked as she served herself.
"Mama, you should have seen how she was grumbling when I was helping her with her assignment."

"Listen, you cockroach, I've been helping you with your homework since your nursery days. I don't understand why you're complaining now."

"I hope it's not my daughter you're calling cockroach." Mom glared at me.

Zara burst into laughter.
"Oh mama, so much for helping you scold her."
"I was not scolding her, I was correcting her."

I feel like we first borns learned it the hard way. I mean, my mom beats me when I don't do my assignment.
Bad memories I hate thinking about my childhood.
I made a quick iced coffee in my Stanley cup before I headed out. I dropped my sister in school and headed to the hospital.

"Nurse Jidda." Jessica called out as I entered the changing room.
"Nurse jessie." I smiled at her.
"Was there any emergency yesterday night?"
"No."

"I really like night duties. It's always peaceful. "
"I know right". Jessica just finished her night duty.

"Good luck with the patient in room 35, that woman is really grumpy, she was sending me on an errand as she's the only patient, she even called me lazy goat." I burst into a series of laughter.

"I'll make sure I avoid her."
"Well, good luck on that, I got to go. I'm feeling sleepy, take care love". Jessie gave me a hug.

"My regards to your romeo." I winked at her as I adjusted my veil and pinned it down.
She giggled and left the room.
I signed in and got to work.

It was break time, and my phone started ringing.
I glanced at the phone, and my assumptions were right it's one of my boyfriends. Yes, boyfriends, I have like 3 of them.

"Hi babe."
"Hi, how is your shift?"
"Quite stressful, but I'm managing."
"Don't worry, your food will be there shortly."
"Babe, I told you to stop sending me lunch, I'm fine, really." I purred my words out.
"Listen, you're my girlfriend, and I can't be at peace when you don't have lunch."
I managed to carry on with our conversation without making any excuse to cut the call.

Shortly after our call, the delivery man brought my food. Ibrahim makes sure I always have my meals, regardless of my morning or night shift.

One of the vendors I was marketing for sent me a dm saying she sent me a package. That was the highlight of my day, I mean, who doesn't like opening packages. I checked on some patients before I started editing my videos.
After my shift, I signed out and headed home. I opened the packages and made sure I reviewed each of them before posting it on Instagram. They were set of oil perfumes and incense burner. Trust me, the perfumes were really nice.

I burnt the turaran wuta and tagged her in the video.

Right before I slept, one of my supposed boyfriends called, and let's just say I told him I had migraine.
