23

It's dark, and I can't help but shiver.
It's another nightmare. I held my chest and recited my azkhar. Just then, the place became a bit clearer. It's that lady, I had a glimpse of her face again, and it's terrifying.

"The terror continues. Your nightmares are far from finished." Her voice echoes darkly.

"The horror is still far from over. Your nightmares will continue to torment you." Her voice is piercing through my head.

"The nightmares that haunt you are far from vanquished." I'm really trying to say my azkhars, but it's as if my head is pierced with sharp needles. I just want to leave this place.

I felt water on my face, after which I opened my eyes.
"Khalifa, I'm tired, I can't take this any longer, I just feel like removing my head." I cried out.
"Khalifa, she kept saying my nightmares are not over."

"Shh... you've survived this far. Your nightmares are just bumps on the road, and you will pass it." He coaxed me.

These days have been dreadful. The nightmares and headaches are never-ending. I look despicable, and I hate it.

Khalifa wanted to tell our parents, but I told him not to do so. They might think I'm becoming mad. In fact, everybody would get to know I'm becoming mad. The days are moving fast, and soon Khalifa will not be with me 24/7, I want to make sure I'm perfectly fit before I start going back to work.

"Princess, take some water. You look stressed out." He passed me a glass of water, which I gulped down. I was about to stand on my feet when I suddenly felt dizzy.

Khalifa
I added a sedative to jidda's water. I only get to leave her when I go to the mosque. The fear of leaving her is even scary. What if she has an attack and I'm not by her side. I thought about it for a while before I came up with this idea.

I grabbed my keys and headed to Aisha's place. I need to end this.
The guilt is eating me up. She changed so much from the bubbly jidda to a lost, lone wolf.

"Khalifa, you're here."

"I told you not to do it, I warned you to stay away from her, I forbade you from touching her, but no you didn't, the one time I asked for a favor from you." I said bitterly.

"Khalifa...."
"If you utter my name again, I swear to God, I'll hit you again."

"I didn't ...d.. do anything, she c..came to me in her dream." She stammered.

"No you lured her in, tell me how to stop this nonsense now, and you better open your mouth before she wakes up because if she calls me and ask me where I am, you'll regret wasting my time." I said angrily.

"Khalifa, why are you been so harsh."
I slapped her.

"I told you if you dare utter my name, I'll hit you, now open up."
I shattered every single thing. I tightly held a piece of broken glass. Because that's the only way I can ease up the desire to kill this filth.

"Tell her to look at the lady, tell her to look into the lady's eyes directly and say any supplication."

"I would become blind forever." She sat on the floor and cried out.

"What is it I haven't done for you, hmm... tell me, what is it? Even after you sacrificed our babies soul, you sacrificed two of our babies' souls. I got angry and let it go because I eventually thought you'll change."

"I specifically warned you not to touch jidda because I'll become so mad, and I'll make you regret it, didn't I tell you that."

I fixed my phone to take a video because I don't want her to deny what I'm about to do.

"You crossed the line, I divorce you in accordance with the shari'ah, talaq (I paused) talaq (pause), talaq."

"Better leave this house before you go blind."

"It's funny how i thought marrying two of you would work."

I went to the back to get petrol and lit up the room she does her stuff. I called the guards attention and told them the house is on fire.

"I repeat, leave this house with your very two eyes."
I drove out of the building with a heavy sigh.

I entered our room and saw jidda rubbing her eyes. Her face brightened up when she saw me.

Suddenly her face changed and she looked horrified.

"Blood." She gasped.

I stared at myself and suddenly realized I messed up.
