Chapter 1

Everyone stood in the realm, where all the dimensions met, and watched as Allura filled the witch's mind with happy memories.

"Your son taught me how to change An evil quintessence, into a life giving one."

Their was a moment of silence before she spoke up,

"But... that would require-"

"I know the risks." Allura cut her off.

Allura took the witch's hand, helping her to her feet.

"I'm afraid this is where we part ways."

"Wait What?"

"Allura?"

"What?"

Allura walked closer to the Paladins, unable to look them in the eyes.

"This is our only chance to undo what has been done... to save all of existance. I have to take it...It is my purpose."

All of the Paladins looks unhappy and sad, but most of all, Lance looked horrified, crushed, and shocked.

" Your paths go on, but mine ends here."

"But... there is no Voltron without you." Hunk murmured.

"Voltron isn't needed anymore. The rest of the work, is up to the people," Allura set a hand on his cheek, "and they will have you to guide them Hunk."

They both gave a sorrowful embrace before Allura turned to Pidge.

"Goodbye Pidge..."

"I'm going to miss you Allura."

They both hugged each other, Allura muttering softly,

"Remain curious. And fearless."

Pidge cried softly during their embrace, letting the tears slide down her cheek.

Allura then walked up to Shiro, and blank expression lining his face.

"Most of them won't know the sacrifice you made so they could live."

"And they'll never need to. Your selflessness taught me that."

They both had a sorrowful embrace as well, it was soft, but caring.

"Thank you."

Their was a pause of silence before Shiro whispered,

"You. Never, have to thank me for anything. "

Once releasing, Allura turned to Keith, and spoke softly as she had done before.

"Keith. I can't thank you enough for all you've given me." Allura slowly walked over.

"Allura. When you excepted me... it helped me to except myself. Thank you."

Allura gave a sad smile, then slowly began to embrace him, "Their is greatness in your heart. And in your actions."

Finally, when Allura made it to Lance, he looked into her eyes, showing her the sadness he felt. Tears pricked at both Allura and Lance.

"No. Allura, their has to be another way..."

"Their is no other way. This is all we have."

"But... Your too important to the cause- your too important to me..."

" I will always be with you Lance... and I will always love you."

Allura and Lance exchanged a loving kiss, neither of them wanting to let go of one another.

When they broke away, Lance's cheeks glowed, revealing blue Altean markings.

Allura stepped back and smiled, then followed the witch into the glowing beam of light, where both their families stood waiting.

After they left, and they exited the realm, they were all back in their Lions, but the blue lion remained empty.

"She really did it... She saved us all..." Pidge muttered.

Lance sat in the Red Lion, staring at the ground, the picture from his and Allura's first date in hand.

Months later, on New Altea

Lance sat on the edge of his bed, continuing to hold the picture, but staring blankly at the ground.

It had been extremely hard for him, losing the love of his life.

Suddenly, there was a loud crashing sound, like thunder, and a bright blue light swallowing the window.

Lance lept off the bed, still in his pajamas, and raced down stairs and outside.

A vast, lumbering hole lay in the center of the grounds of the castle of lions, endlessly churning.

"What is that?" Lance shouted as the other Paladins joined his side.

The roaring of the portal became louder, and people began frantically going around readying battle stations.

The portal gave off a blinding light, before quickly disappearing. And at the bottom of the chaos, was Allura, laying on the ground unconscious, her armour tattered and scraped.

"Allura!" Lance shouted as he ran over, tears begining to flow down his cheeks.

He got quickly to his knees, and layed her head on his lap, feeling her steady pulse.

Lance smiled brightly, unable to hold his tears back.

Allura slowly opened her eyes, carefully taking in the world around, until she focused on Lance, tears forming as well.

"Lance..." Allura said, her voice dry and brittle.

"Hey, hey, shhh. We will get you better in no time..." Lance replied releaved.

Allura smiled before closing her eyes, while being taken to the hospital wing on the castle of lions.

All the Paladins walked over to Lance, a smile on their faces.

Lance could only say one thing for the next few hours.

"She's back..."
