Ketchum House/ POV: Ashlie

I was sitting in my room with my egg, and it started to glow.

"GUYS! THE EGG IS HATCHING!" I squealed, and in two seconds, everyone in the house was in my room.

"Aw!" Goomba chuckled, "It's Mudkip!"

"Mudkip, the Mud Fish Pokemon, a Water Type!" My Rotom Phone stated, "In water, Mudkip breathes using the gills on its cheeks. If it is faced with a tight situation in battle, this Pokémon will unleash its amazing power—it can crush rocks bigger than itself."

"WOW!" I squealed, "Hi there Mudkip! My name's Ashlie, and this is Chuster!"

"Let's see the moves!" Dusk stated, and he used Aura, "Hmm, Tackle, Mudslap, Growl, and, Bite."

"How does it have Bi-" Goomba was bit on the arm, in the same spot I bit him in.

"OUCH!" I exclaimed, "But I guess the reason is to bite you!"

"That's not funny!" He groaned, and the others were laughing, "Hey, stop that!"

"Sorry!" Jessica giggled, "Anyways, you said someone was coming to visit us, who is it?"

"I'll give you a hint, he's Giratina's right hand man!" Goomba chuckled, and Dusk was shocked.

"It's Shade isn't it?" Dusk groaned, and Goomba nodded, "Oh great!"

"Shade is annoying sometimes isn't he?" Amy sighed.

"Hey, he's just making sure the Reborn Champion is doing alright!" Goomba exclaimed, "And he wants to challenge Ashlie to his Gym Battle early!"

"Who's Shade?" I asked, and Dusk told me that he's the fifth Reborn Gym Leader, who is an entity, and is basically a jerk to Goomba, "OUCH! WHY?!"

"Well, I don't know..." Goomba sighed, "And I only got his respect because Rai managed to take out his whole team on his own!"

"Yeah, he OHKO'd the whole team!" Darkrai stated, "It was rediculous, but Dusk took out his whole team with his Delphox!"

"Yeah, and it was easy." Dusk stated, then we saw a portal, "He's here!"

"Well look who it is..." Shade stated to Goomba, "Last time we talked was during our adventure to save Ash Ketchum from MissingNo."

"Yep!" Goomba stated, "Good to see you again the so called 'Entity of the Distortion World'. How are Gaster and Giratina?"

"They're good." Shade stated, "We also saw Dusk and Aurora's battle!"

"Yeah, I lost..." Dusk sighed, and then, Shade came over to me, "Oh, Shade, that's Ashlie Ketchum/Aether! Ashlie, meet the Ghost Gym Leader of Reborn, the Chosen one of Giratina, and a person who's somewhat of a jerk to Goomba, Shade!"

"Nice to meet you Mr. Shade." I greeted, and I offered my hand out, but he didn't take it, "Oh."

"Ashlie, you better be ready, because while I'm not in the World Coronation Series, I'm one of the harder Gym Leaders of Reborn." Shade stated, "And the only one to get Goomba *BLEEP*ed off!"

"Hey!" Goomba and mom, "Language!"

"So, anyways, I wanted to challenge Ashlie to a battle." Shade stated, "Since, you know, the Reborn League was called off!"

"Oh yeah..." Peter sighed, "I forgot the League was called off for a while!"

"Anyways, I wanted to challenge Ashlie to see if she's ready..." Shade stated.

"Okay, 6-on-6?" I suggested, and he nodded, "Okay!"

"Can we do it outside?!" Goomba groaned, "I mean, this house does NOT look ready to support a battle!"

"Fine..." Shade grunted, "...such a kid..."

"Okay, remind me not to make Goomba angry!" I gasped, "Because wow, he's powerful!"

"I didn't even know he could do that!" Dusk and Darkrai shouted at the same time.

"Same!" Shade groaned, "But man do those attacks hurt!"

"I'm ready to get going!" We heard Ashlie exclaim behind us, "What do you think?"

"Ashlie, you're heading with us to Reborn, not fighting super villains!" Peter groaned, then I looked to Dusk.

"Promise she'll be okay!" I sighed.

"I promise!" He chuckled, "And Goomba's there to smack me in case I swear!"

"You know, I feel like we're like the Pokemon version of the Avengers!" Goomba stated.

"I'm back!" Ashlie sighed, "Do I look better?"

"Aw..." Goomba chuckled, "How adorable!"

"Thanks!" Ashlie giggled, "Now mom, I promise to be back in 6 months, okay? I just want to see more of Reborn and explore some of the Torren Region!"

"I know, just stay safe.." I sighed, then we hugged.

"I'll see you later mom!" Ashlie exclaimed while rushing to the gang.

"Stay safe, Ash..." I sighed, then I went back inside with Ashlyn and Eevee!
