102: THE BURDEN AND THE AURA

Alistair was about to open his mouth again and continue making her feel annoyed when she suddenly gasped, surprised at what she saw that also made him look back at the drama starting.

Without warning, Helena started to climb in the railing, crying as she looked at Constantine who was about to open the door and exit the balcony. The wind was pushing her, making her body sway at the current of the wind, suddenly becoming strong enough to make her sway on the railing yet she kept her balance.

"Stop! If you open that door, I will jump!" Helena screamed, making Constantine look back and shocked to see her standing up in the railing. Goodness gracious, the balcony is tall and if she was to fall, then she would die!

"Helena! Get down! This is too much!" He yelled as he tried to take a step and pull her down but Helena tried to threaten him even more as her heel slowly reached the edge, making it a bit more difficult and extremely risky for her.

Felicia couldn't believe what she was seeing right now. She thought that Helena was only a crybaby who would not do such things that would hurt her. Yet here she is, threatening Constantine to kill herself.

How brave.

"If you get out... Or take a step... I will kill myself..." Helena said, chuckling while crying. It seems that she's finally showing how much she needs to be put in an asylum. To threaten a royal prince into tricking him, she used such an obscured and frightening method.

"Helena... Don't do this! You're ruining yourself." Constantine begged as he bit his lip anxiously, trying to reach for Helena who didn't budge upon his begging. Instead of feeling better, she kept on playing around the edge, making Constantine pale and lose all of his senses.

"Your sister is a madwoman, is she not?" Alistair asked, looking at Felicia who was too focused on the drama between the secret couple. To think that she would become a threat towards Constantine is already a crime committed. "Yet at the same time, brave. I could never do that." Alistair added yet was dismissed with Felicia's silent treatment.

She is and will always be a madwoman. To think that she's not an easy woman to deal with. So this is how she can control someone without using any charms, use herself as bait and become the victim itself.

"If you... Decide to end our relationship, not only will I cause jeopardy in your name, but will also die because of you, Constantine. You will always be ostracised by the people in this country, for not only cheating with your fiancé's sister but also causing harm towards the Saintess." She threatened and has the guts to use those words against the Crown Prince.

"You..."

"You don't want that to happen, right? Because not only will you lose your position as the crown Prince, but you will also lose your privileges and will die bearing a death sentence for harming a saint. You dare put the Saintess in this situation, you took my first and everything and you want to end this?" She asked, laughing like a psycho that made Constantine fear her behaviour.

She was acting strange, resembling a witch who was in control of the situation. "You will surely die without me, Constantine. You will have no one in your family. Do you think that your father loves you for what you have become? No, he doesn't, my love. He only put you in that position because you are the Empress' son, but you are not his favourite son." She laughs, mocking his existence.

"How fierce. To think this wild cat has an ugly interior. I even thought that she was pretty, I take my words back." Alistair commented, enjoying the free drama.

"Shut up."

"You think everyone loves you? No, they're only using your situation. They're enjoying the power that they covet. Do you think my sister loves you? Dream on, she doesn't. The only thing she likes about this is the crown. What will happen to you if she becomes the Empress? Unloved and abandoned, just like how you have always been." She said, smiling sweetly at Constantine who fell into silence and was looking down.

However, Felicia noticed something within Helena. Her eyes were glowing, and at the same time, so did the necklace around her neck. It was glowing in this heavy-coloured green, a misty dark green emitting from the necklace, as well as her eyes turning a bit dark which made Felicia tremble suddenly.

It's as if such a heavy atmosphere has decided to sit on her, making it feel so heavy, that she couldn't even breathe properly. Sweat bursted on her forehead as she tried to control whatever this murky and uncomfortable feeling was but the power... This strange power is making her feel weak once more.

"Lady? Are you fine?" Alistair asked, alerted when she was letting out heavy breathing and holding onto the railings. She was exerting such strength into her hands, looking so pale and uncomfortable that alerted him.

"What's wrong? What's happening?" He asked as he tried to feel whatever was wrong with his surroundings. Using his aura, another form of magic formed within the core of a man, he could sense that slight hint of a beast's familiar feeling.

He could feel it yet faintly, he could also smell how disgusting and foul aura emitted from any kind of beast and it must be the reason why this woman was acting strange and stuffy.

Without even contemplating, he immediately grabbed her and let her sit in his lap with her face resting on the crook of his neck, still breathing hardly like being chased by an ominous power.

"Forgive me but you need this." He whispered as she could feel his wriggling and flinching at their sudden position, yet was still under the impression of weakening. Alistair sighed, as he calmed himself down and used his aura to cool her heart, directing the sensation right into where it seemed uncomfortable to her.

An Aura could pass as a healing ability yet distinct from the real wielders of Holy Power. An aura could only purify those who are under the guise of suffocation from a beast's environs.

All Beasts could emit various levels of environs, an aura that could certainly suffocate and kill someone immediately.

But why is such a powerful aura from a beast present here? It might be faint yet it is still dangerous.

"I am the only person who can love you forever, your Highness. I am the only person who can give you eternal love and peace. Therefore you shouldn't do anything like that again, breaking my heart..." The woman whom Alistair had been watching said, making him look in her direction.

She is now hugging Constantine, smiling perfectly while Constantine remains immobilized in his place. Or he may just be overtaken with shock that his body still didn't respond due to fear.

"I will always love you, your Highness. Do you love me too?" Helena asked towards Constantine, pulling herself away from her embrace and looking at Constantine, grinning ear to ear.

"I love you, Helena. I love you so much." Constantine replied he was grinning, it was as if he had gone insane together with that woman. What a pair of madmen, almost becoming like some sort of demon.

Alistair sighed, that was the most forceful thing he had ever heard yet he might be wrong with that. He could fear the two kissing and lapping under the moonlight, making him barf silently.

How could they do this to her?

"I'm fine now," Felicia responded, making him blink twice upon looking down. He was still hugging her closely while falling into a state of overthinking.

He suddenly hissed and pushed her gently yet with visible hostility in his eyes. "You should be lucky that I know how to sort it out. You could've lost your consciousness." He responded, averting his eyes while turning bright red.

It was embarrassing for him to hold her for that long without even realizing it. He was so preoccupied by those cheating bastards that he had forgotten about this woman resting in his arms.

"Yeah... Thank you for that, your Highness..." Felicia replied, filled with gratitude as she told him how thankful she was. After some sort of cooking method was inserted within her, the uncomfortable feeling was now gone, overpowered by the thing this man did to her.

That feeling... It must have come from Helena's necklace. When it suddenly shines earlier, the feeling of discomfort suddenly floods her and it weakens her. Even her own purifying couldn't overpower the feeling.

Is it because she is still weak? She thought that she had made advances yet it seems that power is still too much for her.

"Alistair..." He suddenly mumbled which made Felicia blink in surprise. "What?" She asked she didn't quite hear what he said as she was too focused on thinking about what happened earlier that really weakened her.

"If you wish to thank me... Call me, Alistair. I don't accept no." He said, this time it was a bit clearer than earlier. She chuckled, making the man look at her like a cat ready to hiss.

How sassy.

"Alright, rude punk, I mean. Your Highness, Alistair." She replied, smirking that ended up with him glaring towards her. "Anyway, it seems that they are gone now." She added as she stood up to look at the empty balcony.

They have really left.

Alistair also stood up, brushing off his pants as he removed his coat, placing it on her shoulders which made him flinch and frown at him. "What's this for?" She asked, was about to give it back to him when he shrugged and started walking towards the door.

"Keep it. You're shivering." He replied and opened the door. "But if you don't, you can throw it away. It doesn't matter anyway, I'll just buy another one." He added, smirking at her who was left gagged with his reply.

Seriously, that dude has his head up high. What a prick he is! A kind one that is...
