   When we got their I jumped out and went to the other side to oped Kasey's door. Then I told her, "I'm kinda nervous."

   " Don't be. There is nothing to worry about. They are going to love you." she told me outside of the truck.

*SHANE P.O.V*

   Once we walked in, I tensed up. But then Kasey must have realized, and she grabbed my hand and then I kinda felt more relaxed. Then Kasey found her family at a big table.

   When we sat down, I had Kasey on my left and her little brother Kaden on my right.

   " Your really Shane Hanchey!!" said Kaden, Kasey's  little brother.

   " Yeah I am." I say kinds laughing at him.

   " Shane this is my mom and dad, Hannah and Cody Fontenot. And then it seems like you meet my little brother already. Then my younger sister Macy and my older brother Kasen." she says pointing to everyone. " And everyone this is Shane."

   " Hi, it's nice to meet you all." I say kinda shyly.

   " So Shane where are you from?" asked Mrs. Fontenot.

   " I am born and raised, from Sulphur, Lousiana." I answered as our waitress came up to the table.

   " So are we ready to order our drinks." she asked all peppy.

   "Um..yes I will take a water and he will take a beer and coke." Kasey said ordering for both of us.

   " And we will take roseberry wnie, 2 beers, a rootbeer, coke,2 waters, and a lemonade." Kasey's dad said ordering for the rest of them.

   " Shane how long, have you been doing rodeo." asked Kasey's older brother Kasen

   " Well I started to have something to do with rodeo since I was three I started with, mutin bustin."

   " So when did you start tie down roping?" he asked again.

   " I started when I was in 4th grade. And i was on the middle school and high school rodeo teams."

   " Do you go to school?" her mom asked.

   " Yes ma'am I do, I am going for real estate."

   " Where are you going for school."

   " I am doing online for LSU."

  " So you a tiger fan, then?" her dad asked.

  " I am a bug tigers fan."

  " Who's your favorite tigers sports team?" asked Kaden.

   " It would have to be their football team and baseball team. What about yours little man?"

   " I rather their baseball team than football team."

   " Who is your favorite postion and player?" I asked him.

   " Short stop and Kramer Roberson."

   " So your a number three fan? So am I." I said giving him a high five.

   " So Shane. do you have any siblings?" her sister Macy asked.

   " Yes I have 2 brothers and 1 sister." I tell Macy.

   " OK here is every bodies drinks, so we have 1 lemonade, 1 wine, 3 beers, 2 cokes, and 3 waters, did I miss anything."

   " No sir I think we are good." Kasey's mom answered.

   " So are we ready to order food? And will everybody be on the same ticket?"

   " Um, No me and this lady right here are on a different ticket then every body else."

   " Yes sir, so are we ready to order?"

   " I think we are." Mr. Cody answers.

   " OK so what can I get the couple right here." he asks pointing to me and Kasey.

   " The lady will take the small fajitas and I will take the 2 taco meal." I tell the man.

   " OK, and for the others?"

   " We will take a 2 taco mean, a kids plate, the beef nachos and add bell pepper and pico, the chicken and beef burrito, and a chicken burrito." her dad told the man.

   " Ok will that be it."

   " Um, can I get a coke and water refill?" I asked him handing Kasey and I's cup to him.

   " Yes sir you can." he said taking the cups.

   " How long how y'all too been together?" Macy asks motioning to me and Kasey.

   " We make 3 months today." Kasey answered before I could.

   " Wow that's longer than Kasen can keep a girl." Macy said and making the whole table bust out laughing.

   " I'm sorry son but that was pretty funny." Kasey's dad said still kinda laughing. And Kasen just shook his head.

   " Here are our re-fill drinks." said the waitress and handed us our drinks. " The food should be out in less than five minutes."

   " So Shane did do you think of that new horse in Kasey's stable." Kasey's dad asks raising his eyebrows.

   " She is beautiful. She has a good and strong build, and you can tell she was made for running."

   " Yeah, and she was bred with a black racing stud, with a white strip down his face. And you think she is muscle and tall you should have seen this horse."

   " Here is y'alls food. We had a 2 taco meal and a small fajita on one ticket. Would you like that ticket now."

   " Yes sir, I would." I told him.

   " OK here you go, and then on the other ticket we had a 2 taco meal. a kids plate, nachos with added bell peppers and pico, then two burritos."

   " Yes sir." Mr. Fontenot told the man and taking his ticket from him.

   As we were walking out of the place I payed for me and Kasey's meal and then as we were walking out with her mom and dad behind us and two brothers and sister in front of us, Kasey asks, " Why don't you ever let me buy our meals?"

   " Because it is the nice thing to do. And I will always do it."

   " But I haven't payed for anything for us but a gallon of gas or two."

   " Well... babe I just don't know what to tell ya." I tell her kissing her on the top of her head and walking over to my truck.

   " Well it was nice meeting you all today, and thank you for lunch." I said shaking Mr. Cody's hand and Kasen's and then giving Mrs. Hannah a hug.

   " So how do you feel now?" Kasey asks as we drive out of the parking lot.

   " Much better, more relaxed." I said grabbing her hand.

   " So what do you want to do for the rest of the day?" she asks as we walk in her house and sitting down on her couch. 

   " Well I don't know maybe we could finish what you started earlier." I said leaning over and kissing her.

   " Mmm as much as I would love that we said we would bring the new horse to the vet." Kasey said breaking the kiss and got up.

   " OK, so when are we going to bring her to the vet?" I ask standing up.

   " Right now. Can you go hook up the smaller horse trailer to my truck please?' she asked me throwing me her keys.

   " Yeah are you going to go get her?"

   " Yup." she said as we both walked out of the door.

   " She really is a magnificent horse." I saw as Kasey walks her into the trailer.

  " Yeah she really is, and her foal is going to be just like her, beautiful and all leg and muscle."

  " What did your dad say she was breed with?" I asked as I got into the drivers seat.

  " A full black racing stallion."

  " Yeah that's going to be a beautiful foal, and if you sell it you can make some big bucks on it."

  " Yeah I know, but if she only has one I would like to keep it because I mean it's her first foal and I have never raised a foal from birth the was born at mt ranch or my dads, but like you said she is huge she could be having twins and I know I can't handle two foals and two racing foals, I just wouldn't know what to do or have the time to train them, and I don't even know what I'm going to do with her when she's ready to run again, like am I going to race her, or, train her for barrels, or I could train her for jumping, and I could also do jumping again." she said and I could tell she was getting stressed and overwhelmed.

   " Calm down, we can worry about this when the foals are ready to leave their mom and we don't need to baby them anymore." I said grabbing her hand.

*KASEY P.O.V*

   " Yeah your right." I say as pull into the vets office parking lot.

   " Hi, how may I help you?" a lady asked at the front desk.

   " Um, do y'all have any openings for this afternoon. I have a pregnant mare that needs a check up, and I need an ultrasound for her." I tell the lady as Shane walks in and sits down.

   " Um, we have an opening at 3 so it's an 30 minute wait if that's fine with you?" 

   " Yeah that's fine."

   " OK, has this horse ever been to this vet?"

   " Not with me she hasn't she might have been with her owner before me, I just got her today my dad got her for me from and race horse owner that is selling some of his horses because he has to move to another location."

   " OK, and do you bring all of your other animals here?"

   " Yes, my horses and dog, and I get my cows meds from here."

   " OK, I will need for you to fill out some paper work on your horse so our vet can see her."

   " OK thank you." I say as she hands me a clipboard with some paper work.

   " I have never had to fill out some much paper work on a horse to see a vet that all of my horses have seen since I moved to my ranch." I tell Shane as I sit down next too him.

   " Miss Kasey, I hear you have a new horse for me here to look at today?" the vet Mr. Andrews walks up and asks.

   " Yes sir I do." I say standing up shaking his hand and Shane stands up behind me.

   " And who would this be?" he asks meaning to Shane.

   " This is my boyfriend Shane Hanchey."

   " Nice to meet you Shane."

   " Nice to meet you too."

   " Your girl friend has some very nice horses and she sure takes care of them even if she got them not even a whole 24 hours ago."

   " Yeah she sure does." he says smiling at me.

   "OK, so lets go take a look at this new horse of yours."

   " OK." I say as we walk out of the door.

   " So you said that she is a racehorse, do you know if the ran her while she was pregnant the first couple of months?"

   " My dad said that they did run her for like her first 3 to 4 months of her pregnancy."

   " OK well that's not very good but we will have to see what condition she and the foal are in."

   " She is in good condition for what I have seen so far, but I haven't gotten to sit down a observe her because I just got her." I tell him as Shane gets her out of the trailer.

   " Well she does look good, she is still very well built with her muscle, and she is big, in height and in width. I would like to get some measurements on her, her weight, and like you said an ultrasound, so lets go ahead and head towards the barn." he says as I take Lightning from Shane.

   " OK, go ahead and put her in the chute please and I will get the mechine and measuring tools, I will be right back."

   " Shane what if she is having twins, what will I do." I say laughing at the end.

   " I don't know, but if she does, they will be very spoiled." he said giving me a hug.

   " OK so lets get the height  and weight first." he says turning on the scale and getting his tape measure, " She is 15 and 3/4's hands and she is 1,010 pounds, and that is good she is healthy. And now we will check for her baby." he says as he puts his glove on, " So I feel on head so far............. and there is a second one."

   " Oh my god, she is having twins." I say looking at Shane with my mouth wide open.

   " OK, so since there are two little races that will becoming in about 1-3 days, there is a chance that she might lose on foal since she was ran when she was pregnant and she was providing for 3 and working extra hard, and if the second foal does survive that foal will need special attention and more caring for then the other foal. And if the second foal does survive I want you to call me so I can come look at it and the other foal and make sure they are good on health."

   " OK thank you. And the other owner that had her before me said that he would pay for any payments that involves her and the foals."

    " OK, then a bill will be sent to him and a letter will be sent to you when the bill is sent to him."

   K- Hey dad, I was calling about that mare you gave me today."

   D- Hey, what about her.

   K- Well me and Shane are just getting out of the vet n=and we found out that she is having twins

   D- Wow that's cool, Did you send the bill to the man I got her from.

   K- They are going to send him the bill. 

   D- OK so when are they expected.

   K- The vet said between in 1 to 3 days from now.

   D- OK well call me if anything goes wrong or is needed.

   K- OK, thanks day. Bye.

   D- Bye honey.

   " Who was that?" Shane asked.

   " My dad I was telling him about the horse."

   *RING RING*

K- Hello

F- Hey

K- Hey Fallon whats up

F- Hey I was wondering if I could stay a night over at your place, because I'm coming from Florida and I have to go to New Mexico in 2 days?

K- Yeah you can crash her because it's like a 5, 6 hour drive from there to here. And I'm going to New Mexico also so you can stay an extra night and we can drive together if you want.

F- Yeah that would be awesome.

K- OK awesome.

F- So I'll be there for around 9 or 10.

K- OK, see ya when you get here.

F- OK, bye.

   " So Fallon is going to come stay the next two nights and then we are going to ride together to New Mexico. You can ride with us too if you want." I told Shane as we pulled onto the highway.

   " Me and Marty are traveling buddies, but I can see if he wants to meet us here and we can all follow each other if you want?"

   " Yeah that would be fun." I said kissing his check as we pulled into my long drive way.

   " What time will Fallon get here?"

   " Around 9 or 10. What do you want to eat for dinner?" I asked Shane as we walked into the house.

    " I don't know. I'm kinda hungry for a burger and onion rings."

   " Well I found this recipe, and what you do is, you cut an onion in half and you hollow it out until you have the top thick layer, then you brown some ground beef, then you fill the onion 3/4 with the meat and then the rest you fill with cheese and then you deep fry it." I said sitting down by Shane on the couch.

   " Yeah that sounds good. And if you don't mind could you start it going and I can go call Marty and feed the horses?"

   " Yeah that sounds good and if you don't mind can you tell one of the ranch hands to clean a stall out for Fallon's horse, and can you check on Lighting for me please?" I ask him as I walk into the kitchen.

   " Yes I can."

   " Thank you." I say after he kisses me.

*SHANE P.O.V*

 S- Hey Marty.

 M- Hey Shane waht's up.

S- Not much, Fallon is coming over and spending the next two nights and Kasey and her are going to ride together, and Kasey told me to ask you if you want to come spend the nigh tomorrow and me and you can ride together and we can all follow each other?

 M- Yeah man that sounds good. Who's truck and rig are we going are we going to take?

 S- We can take mine. I'm going to go get my rig after me and Kasey eat.

 M- What time you want me to be there for?

 S- Well today is Saturday and we are leaving Monday morning, so around 12 tomorrow, it really doesn't matter. Just text me when you are leaving your place and I can send you her address.

 M- OK sounds good. See you later man.

 S- Alright man see ya

   " Hey pretty girl how you doin?" I ask the new mare, " You taking good care of those babies." I say as I pet her forehead.

   " Hey Si, hey Reata." I say walking over to my two horses and giving them each a treat.

   " Hi Mr. Shane, how you doing?" one of the ranch hands Randy asks me.

   " Good and you Randy?"

   " Pretty good. Do you need anything before I head hime for the night?"

   " Um, yes could you clean out a stall fro me, Fallon Taylor is coming spend a couple of nights, and the I need another to be set up for tomorrow before 12 for Mary Yate's horse."

   " Yes sir."

   " Thank you, have a good night."

   " You too."

*KASEY P.O.V*

   " The mare is perfect and they are starting on the stall as we speak."

   " Thank you again."

   " Your welcome."

   " Can you get me the flour out of that cabinet right there?" I ask Shane while cutting the onions and pointing to the cabinet to my right.

   " Yeah, anything else?"

   " Yes, can you start to brown the meat for me?" I ask as he hands me the flour.

   " Yeah, how do you want me to do the meat?"

   " Um, brown it real good cause it won't really cook in the fryer, and season it."

   " Yes ma'am." he says as he grabs the meat off of the counter.

   " How many do you want?"

   " Two is fine. Do you want to cook some fries too?"

   " Yeah that sounds good."

**20 Minutes Later** 

   " This good." Shane says as he takes his second bite.

   " They are pretty good. So what did Marty say?"

  " He said he'll come tomorrow night and me and him are going to ride together and we are all going to follow each other, and we are going to take my truck and rig this time, so I am going to go drive to my house and pick up my rig if that's ok with you."

   " Yeah that's fine, when are you going to get your rig?"

  " I was planning on going get it after we finish eating if that's ok with you, so we don't have to worry about it tomorrow."

   " Yeah that's good. Do you want me too come with you?"

   " I would like you too, but I don't want Fallon to get here and no one is here and it's like a 3 hour drive to there then another 3 hours to drive back. And it's already 6:20." Shane said getting up and grabbing his and mine's plate and bringing the into the kitchen.

  " Thank you. And yeah that's true. Are you leaving right now?"

  " No, I'm going to go use the bathroom and change my shoes and then I'm going to go."

  " Ok, well I'm going to be in the barn come tell me you're leaving." I said pecking him on the cheek.

  " Yes ma'am."

   When I waked into the barn Gage came running from the tack room with his ears down, and that's when you know he was up to something, so I walked in the room and saw that my high school rodeo saddle from my freshman year on the ground with teeth marks on the horn and on the stirrups.

   " GAGE !!!!!!  COME HERE !!!" I yelled at him and he came running in still with his ears down.

   " What did you do?" I asked him and he gave me his puppy dog eyes, but I was mad at him so it didn't work, " You are sleeping in your cage tonight." I told him pointing my finger at him.

  " Woof Woof." he barked back at me.

  " Nope I don't want to hear it Gage. Go home." I told him pointing to the house and he walked out of the tack room. When I walked out of the door Charlie started bobbing his head and whinning.

   " What my big boy." I said rubbing his nose. 

   " Hey I'm heading out." Shane said walking to my side and rubbing Charlie's forehead.

   " OK well.. drive safe, and text me when you get there and when your leaving. OK?"

   " Got it, see you when I get back."

   " OK, be safe bye." I said before he kissed me and walked out with me shortly following.

***3 Hours Later***

*Text From Shane*

S- Hey just pulled up in my drive way about to hook up the rig.

K- OK

S- Is Fallon there yet?

K- No, she is about 30 minutes away.

S- OK, well I just finished hooking up the trailer.

K- Ok, well drive safely back.

***HONK HONK***

   " Come on Gage Fallon is here." I said getting up with Gage following me.

   " Hey buddy!" Fallon said bending down picking up Gage.

   " Hey how was the drive?"

   " Long." Fallon said putting Gage down and giving me a hug.

   " I'm sure. How did y'all do?"

   " Pretty good we won a check for 200 bucks."

   " That's pretty good."

   " Yeah we ran a 16.16, if we were 2 seconds faster we would've won 400, but it is what it is."

   " Yup, just be glad that you have a quick little horse like Baby Flo, she just wasn't in her game today."

   " Yeah your right."

   " You wanna get Flo and your bags out and then we can go see the new horse?"

   " Yeah sounds good."

   " So this is where you will be staying." I say to Fallon as we walk into one of the extra bedrooms one the first floor of the house.

   " You have a beautiful house, I can't wait to see the land tomorrow."

   " Thank you."

   " You ready to save your horse and go see my new one."

   " Yeah." she said getting happy.

   " OK she is going to be on the last stall on the right." I told Fallon.

   " Who is that stall for?" she asked pointing to the one across the hall.

   " That stall is for Marty's horse."

   " When is Marty coming?" Fallon said whipping her head back quick.

   " Tomorrow around noun."

   " Why is he coming?"

   " Him and Shane are traveling partners, so he is going to come spend the night tomorrow and then Monday morning he is going to ride with Shane and then we are all going to follow each other."

   " Ohhhh, And talking about Shane where is he?"

   " He is on his way back from Sulphur, because him and Marty are going to be taking his truck and rig this time."

   " Oh cool."

   " Yeah. Did you eat already?"

   " Yeah I stopped and got something to eat on the way here."

   " Oh OK."

   " I'm back!!" Shane yelled from down stairs.

  " Up stairs in my room with Fallon." I yelled back at him. And next thing I knew my bed kinda bounced.

   " Hey Fallon, how was the drive?" Shane asked once he landed on my bed from jumping.

   " Hey Shane, and it was good, but tiring so I am going to bed. Good Night." Fallon said getting up.

   " Good Night, see you in the Morning." I call after her.

   " How was your drive?" I asked Shane as he came lay down ny my side and out his arm across me.

   " Good and tiring too."

   " Aww poor baby." I said messing with him and taking his LSU baseball cap off and put it on my night stand, and the next thing I knew he was asleep with him arm across me. So I reached over him and turned my lamp off so it was dark,and I tried to turn to get on my side facing the wall, and he pulled me closer, so I just twisted around and faced him and fell asleep on his chest.
