When I woke up, I check my phone and I see that I have two missed calls from Shane. So I unlock my phone and called him back but he didn't answer, so I went down stairs and started to cook bacon and for me and my brother. Then my brother came down in just his sweat pants. Gosh he is so aggervating, I thought.

   '' What you cooking that smells so good in here ?" he said getting a coke out of the fridge.

   " I'm cooking bacon and eggs. Do we have any horses coming in today?"

   " Yes we do, 2 year old filly that needs to be saddle broken."

   " That wont take long, not even an hour." 

   " Yup, then at 2 we have a girl coming for a barrel session and after they ordered one of those glitter horse tats."

   " OK, how long did she book the session for?" 

   " An hour and 30 minutes and she is bringing two horses to work on also."

   " Well since she has two horses i'm going to ask for 30 more minutes with no charge so we have an hour to focus on each horse."

   " Ok. And they ordered two of the two day sessions one for each horse so the two horse's are staying here over night." 

   " Ok. So we need to get two stalls 12 and 13 ready and get more buckets and four brushes out of the storage barn."  I said bring the plates of bacon and eggs to the table.

   " Ok I'll get that ready while you get the arena ready." he said eating his food. After I was done eating I went to go work on the arena, when I was walking through the barn my phone started buzzing and I saw it was Shane calling.

       K- Hey sorry when you called this morning I was still sleeping.

      S- It's ok, when you tried to call me back this morning me and Marty were working out. So what are you doing?

     K- I am on my way to my arena getting ready for a training I have in like 15 minutes. And then I have to put the barrels out cause I have a session with two horse's and an hour for each one. So it's going to be a busy day.

     S- Sounds like it. Well I'll let you get ready. I'll text you before the rodeo starts.

     K- Ok. Bye.

     S- Bye.

   When I was passing through the barn I went go talk Charlie and Mason and I gave them each a carrot. And went back to walking to the arena. When I got there I unlocked the front gate and walked in and started to pick up my three barrels I had out from the last time I practiced, then when I was done moving them to one corner I went go get on one of the smaller plowing tractors and fixed the the dirt where the barrels were and then I went go get a training saddle and a saddle pad and blanket and a halter to start off. And then I went back inside to get a water and wait for the people to get here. 

   About two hours later I saw a trailer pull up in front of my house. When me and Kasen walked out the man was walking his horse out of the trailer.

   " You must be Mr. Blue." I said walking up to him and shaking his hand.

   ' Please call me Brody." 

   " OK well Brody what do u want me to do today for you with your filly?" 

   " Well I booked a five day stay for her and she needs to be saddle trained. She is fine when you ride her bare back but she is scared of the saddle and when you ride her with it she starts to buck and I got her my grandchildren and I don't want a bucking horse around them."

   " I under stand. So lets head and start walking towards the arena where we will be working with her today. Do you mind if I walk her ?" 

   " Sure. Here you go.'' he said handing me the lead rope.

   " Ok, I going to start with just riding her bare back with the lead around the arena." When I jumped on her ans started to walk her around she walked very smoothly. Then we went into a trot, then gallop, and then full. And she stayed consistent and smooth the whole time. So I walked over to the rail where the training saddle was. " Ok, so what I'm doing is I'm starting with a training saddle and I'm going to be using this saddle for two days, then on the third day I'm going to use a english saddle then the fourth day I'm going to use a western saddle then the last day I want you to come and bring the saddle you are going to be riding her with and I ask you to bring your grand kids to see if she is calm enough for them with a saddle on." 

   " Yeah I can do that." he said.

   " Ok so what I'm doing is I'm letting her see the saddle and smell it so she knows what is going on her back." I said putting the saddle infront of her and rubbing her back with it and then I put the saddle on the ground in front of her and I jumped on her just resting on my stomach on her back so she gets used to the weight and then I got off and put two sand bags one her back and she was fine. So I put the saddle blanket on and then the saddle pad and then I went to pick up the saddle again and I let her smell it again and then she let me put it on her back and tightened it and I mounted and she backed up and stated spinning so I grabbed her halter and pulled her head to the side to make her stop and she did. So I hopped off and grabbed my long led rope and lead her in a circle, to kind calm her down and it worked so I got back on her and then we walked around the arena and then I started to run her and then she started to buck so I jumped off and landed on my hands and knees and got back up and got her and jumped back on and I ran her five more times and every time she started to buck and I jumped off and either landed on my hands and knees or my butt.  So on the last try she started to buck but I stayed on and then she finally stopped and she was good and she was tired out so I got off and walked her back over to the guys.

   " That was a action packed ride." said Brody.

   " Yes it was. And we are both tierd. Ok so what we are going to do is I'm going to put her in a small paddock for now while we get her stall ready. We are going to show you where she is going to be staying." I said as we walked back to the arena. " Ok so she is going to stay in stall 20 on the left side. And I need you to sign a few papers and I have some family coming in for two days so if it's ok I would like to keep her for a week and the last two days that I added will be free if thats ok with you."

   " That is fine. And could we come see her during the day?"

   " Yeah you can, but just make sure to give me or Kasen a call before." I told him as he handed me the papers back.

   " Yes ma'am so we can come see her tomorrow?" he asked.

   " Yeah that's fine I'll call you when I wake up and feed them and open the front gate, and yall can come." 

   " Yes ma'am I will talk to you in the morning." 

   " Yes sir." I told him as he walked back to his truck.

    When me and Kasen were walking back to my house he asked, " Since when is Shane family we haven't even met him."

   " Oh shut up, what was I supposed to say that my boyfriend was coming in. That wouldn't have sound very pleasing for a trainer to say to her new clients, it would sound like I'm blowing off my job." I told him and then he kinda got it. " What are you walking to the house for you have stable 20 to clean out." I told him smiling.

   '' Well then can you bring me a bottle of water?" he asked.

   " Sure." I said walking into the house and grabbing him a water out the fridge. " I'm going pass by the feed store cause we need more corn for the cows and small hay bales for the horses. I'll be back." I told him giving him his water. Once I got in my truck Shane called me and I picked up.

   " Hey babe what are you doing."  " Hey, Me and Marty are getting dressed and about to get something to eat for lunch and then come back and get the horses ready for the rodeo at 2. What are you doing?"  " I am going to the feed store to go get more corn for the cows and small hay bales for the new horses we are training and getting big ones for the fields."  " Ok. How did the first horse go?"  " Good she is a 2 year old filly and the man wants to saddle train her, so she is staying for a week. And then I have a 12 year old girl named Taylor coming with her two horses for two hours for a barrel session and the horses are staying over night and then she is coming back in the morning for her next session and then they are going to leave then I have a horse coming for team roping training for two weeks cause they want him to be a header and heeler. So I was thinking maybe when you come that you can help me with him."  " Yeah sure, sounds like fun. OK well I gotta go. Bye call you later."  " Bye talk later."   * END OF CONVERSATION*

   When I pulled up to the feed store I got out and walked in. " Hey Kasey what can I help you with today baby doll?" asked Mrs. Hebert.

   " Hey Mrs. Hebert. I need 10 small square hay bales. 10 big bales. 20 bags of corn. 10 big lick tubs. 30 small lick squares. And 10 bags of horse pellets. And two bags of blue buffalo dog food bags." I told her.

   " That's a big order today."

   " Well I have 7 horses of my own. Then I have 5 horses at home for training then I have two coming for two days today then in the morning I have one coming for two weeks. And I have my boyfirend coming in, in two days and he is bringing his two horses. And I'm of lick tubs and lick squares and completely out of corn for my cows."

   " So it's true you are dating Shane Hanchey."

   " Yes ma'am it is."

   " Ok let me put this order in. Ok it will be $250." she said as I gave her 150 in cash and used my card to pay for the rest. But it's ok cause I get 250 from Brody at the end of the week. Then 475 from Taylor. Then the man Brian is coming with his horse and that will be 800 from him.  " OK here is your ticket. So go drive to the back and they will load it in your flat bed for you."

    " Ok thank you Mrs. Hebert."

    " Your welcome baby. See ya." Once I got back into my truck I texted Kasen, saying how much he owed me. When I got to the back of the war house I hopped out and waited for my order.

   " Are you the person that had the ticket that was $250?" some guy asked.

   " Yes that's me." I told him handing him my ticket.

   " Ok Mrs.Kasey your order will be ready in five minutes." 

   " Ok. Thank you." I said getting in my truck and go getting me something to eat from Mc'donalds. Once I got my food Shane started to call.   " Hey, what you doing."   " I am just pulling out of Mc'dolands and going get my order from the feed store that was 250 dollars. What are you doing."  " Guezz, what did you get. And me and Marty are warming up for the rodeo in 15 minutes."  " I got 10 small square hay bales. 10 big bales. 20 bags of corn. 10 lick tubs. 30 small lick squares. 10 bags of horse pellets. And 2 bags of blue buffalo for Gage."  " Well that explains why you spent so much. Well they just called for every body, hope your session goes good."           " Ok, thank you. Good Luck and tell Marty good luck also."   " Will do, bye"   " Bye."  *END OF CONVERSATION* 

   When I pulled up they were waiting for me in the back. And when I parked they loaded my stuff and I was going back home.

      * Text message with Kasen *

   K- Hey I need you to put the barrels out for me please, and do the dirt around them please. I'm running late.

   KA- Ok, did you pick me up any food?

   K- Yeah I got you a burger.

   KA- Ok thank you.

   K- Welcome.

   Once I got home I went inside and put Kasen's food in the oven to keep it warm, and I sat at the table eating mine. Once I was done I went to go see where Kasen was. When I was walking threw the barn I heard a big boom and following I heard Kasen yell, " CRAP ". And so I walked over to see what happened and a shelf full of vitamins had fallen down. 

   " What happened in here." I said laughing.

   " I was putting a bottle back up and the shelf fell." he said aggravated.

   " Well you need to come help me un-load all the stuff in the trailer. So when I'm driving to the back I want my shelf back on the wall. And your food is in the oven but you are going to eat until you finish helping me."

   " Ok, bossy." he said as I walked back to my truck. Once I drove around the barn to the storage barn I hopped out and went go help Kasen with the shelf. Before I was about to walk into the storage my mom started to call.

   " Hey mom, whats up"  " Hey, can Kaden and Macy come over for a little while I have to run into town to go shopping. And I don't want them to be by their self's while I'm gone."  "Ok, yeah sure. Do I need to go get them?"   " No, I'll bring them I'm right down the road. Did yall eat lunch yet?"  " Yeah I got us something when I went go pick up my order from the feed store."  " Ok. We just pulled up."  " Ok we are in the back in the storage barn. Anout to start unloading the stuff."  " Ok we are walking back there right now."  " Ok bye."  * END OF CONVERSATION *

   " Kasen did you get the shelf back up?" I asked.

   " Yup. All done. Who was that on the phone." 

   " That was mom we have to watch Kaden and Macy for a couple of hours." I said as they were walking in.

   " That is a big load Kasey. How much did it cost." my mom asked.

   " It was 250." I told her.

   " What all did you get?" she asked raising her eye brows.

   " A lot." I said smiling. " Ok are yall ready to help unload stuff?" I asked my two brothers and sister.

   " Yup." said my youngest brother Kaden.

   " Bye yall be good." my mom told us as she walked back to her truck.

   " OK, Kaden grab one bag of dog food and Macy grab the other bag of food. And Kaden going put yours in the storage room by the door on the left, and Macy go put yours on my front door step of my house please." Then once they got back I told them, " OK Kaden go grab that little red wagon so we gave put some feed in. Kasen you grab two Macy you grab two and I'll also grab two, ok and Kaden we are going to put two in your wagon." Once we went go put them up 5 in a stack so we will have two stacks of 5. " OK Kaden we are going to put the last two in your wagon." And after I told him that my phone buzzed saying I had five minutes until the little girl Taylor gets here. " Ok guys I have 5 minutes until my next session is so I need yall to go inside and we will finish this when I am done in an hour." I told them walking to the mane barn to get Charlie saddled up. And when I was done getting Charlie ready I saw a truck with a trailer pull up next to my barn.

   " Hi, are you Kasey Fontenot." A man asked as him and his daughter got out og the truck.

   " HI, yes I am Kasey." I said back shaking the mans hand.

   " Ok, I'm Brandon and this is my daughter Taylor." 

   " Well hi Taylor, are you ready to ride today."

   " Yes ma'am I am."

   " OK so lets go head and get your horse's out and tacked up. Would you like me to help get one out."

   " Yes, please." Once we got her horse's out her father said, " Ok I will see you guy's in 2 hours." he said getting into his truck.

   " Ok so what are you horse's names." I asked.

   " The one you are walking is my boy he is all black with a white strip down his face and his name Is Chanse. And I am walking my girl she is a paint with blue eyes and her name is Hope. And they are both half quarter and thorough bred horses."

   " Ok so they both have some speed on them then."

   " Yeah."

   " So what seems to be the problem."

   " On Chance I don't have enough control to make my turns so he either turns way to wide are her misses the whole barrel and goes into the gate. And then on Hope she doesn't start right or when she does she skips to the first barrel or she stumps her feet as we get to the first barrel and she throws her self off time and me off position."

   " Ok so we are going to focus on one horse for the first hour, so who do u want to start with today."

   " Um lets start with Hope since she doesn't have as much work to do as Chance."

   " Ok sounds good. So lets start tacking them up and I'll do Chance since my horse Charlie is already tacked."

   " Wait your going to be riding Charlie today." she said exited.

   " Yes I am would you like to make a run on him after we are done with horse's." 

   " Could I." see asked all happy.

   " If you want."

   " Yeah of course. I would love to thank you."

   " Your welcome." I said as we finished up tacking her horses.

   " Are you ready to go warm up?" I asked her.

    " Yeah are we going to warm them up one after another or at the same time?" 

   " Um I can pony Chance while I warm up Charlie."

   " Ok" she said as we walked into the arena.

   " OK we are going to gallop around the arena 3 times and that will be good enough." I told as we started warming up.

   " OK so we are going to start with Hope today. So I'm going to make a run at a medium fast gallop to show what you should do and she is one the one that doesn't start correct or stumps her feet and throws yall off time and position."

   " Yes, correct."

   " OK." I said as I backed up into my little tunnel way and me and Charlie came out in a fast gallop. And we went kinda wide on the first and second but tight around the third and we made a time of 14.567 seconds.

   " Ok, go ahead and run how you normally run." I told Taylor and she back up and when she was about to start her horse got all jumpy and knocked her our out of position and she fell off.     " Are you ok?" I asked as I got off of Charlie and walked over to her.

   " Yup I'm good." she said as I helped her up and got back on her horse.

   " OK I'm going to walk on the side of you and hold on to her bridle so she can't do that and you have more control of her in the ally way before you do your runs." I told her grabbing her horse. And when I let go her and her horse were off and made a good run but they were very wide on the first turn. " Ok that was very good but that first turn was way to wide so it took up a lot of time to get back up to speed. So we can try is we are going come down the ally back words and when you are almost out of the tunnel turn around and let her run and keep your leg in closer to her side on your first turn cause that could be a reason why she is going so wide on her first turn." I told he as we walked back into the tunnel and backed up and when we were almost I pushed Hopes head toward the way she was going to go and when I pushed she turned and they were off again and made an amazing turn on the first barrel and made a very good run.

   " That was good she didn't go nearly as wide as she did the first time." Taylor said as she came up to me.

   " Yeah, that was a very good ride. Good job." Lets let her get a drink of water and us some water also." I told her as I helped her get down from Hope.

   " OK, can I tie her on the post by the water bucket?" she asked.

   " Yeah you can. And while we get some water for us out of the barn I'll show you where your two horse's are going to be staying for the next two days." I told her as we walked to the barn.

   " OK."

   " OK the water is in that ice chest right there." I told her pointing to a red ice chest.

 " OK, thanks."

   " Ok stalls 12 and 13 are going to be where your horses are going to be staying." I told her as we walked next to the two stalls.

   " Ok so what am I going to have to do after we finish the session?" she asked as we walked back to the arena.

   " Um you are going to brush them and I can help them you are going to save your tack in the tack room for tomorrow morning and then you are going to put them in their stalls and then after you leave my brother will come water and feed them or after you brush them and save your tack you can put them in a paddock and let them calm down from the session."

   " OK." she said drinking her water.

   " OK, lets go get back to work." I said as we walked back to the arena. " OK, if you don't mind I would like to make a run on her to see how she does." 

   " Yeah, sure." she said as I got onto Hope.

   " OK so what I am going to do is first I am going to start how you started on your first run." i told her walked into the tunnel and when you came out I held onto the rains tighter than she did when she ran and Hope was kinda wide but not as wide as she was with Taylor.

   " OK, so what I did to make her not go as wide but she did still go kinda wide, but what I did was I held onto her rains tighter and she had to hold her head in more so she didn't feel like she needed to go as wide. and now I'm going to start where we are backing her up. So I want you to come in the tunnel with me so I can show you what I am going to do, instead of having someone to hold her for me." So what I did was I held her rains tight so where her head was turned to where she had her head to the side of her to let her know who is in charge and that we are going back words and that we are going to turn on that side. So when we go to the end of the tunnel I turned her and made her go in a little circle and we went to the left barrel first and she was not wide at all and was flawless on the other two turns and then we ran back home.

   " Ok so did you see what I did with her in the tunnel."

   " Yeah, what you did was you held her head to the side of her letting her know that y'all were going to turn and go to the left first and then cross to go to the right barrel."

   " Yes and when you want more control over her or any horse you want to hold onto their rains tighter to let them know like,  ' Hey I'm the boss here not you '. So I want you to get back on her and do what I just did hold her head to the side and I want you to make a run by yourself without me holding on to her." I told her hopping off of Hope.

   " Ok, so I hold her head like this?" she asked doing what I had did before her.

   " Yes every good. Now go into the tunnel forward and turn her head like that and then when you are ready start to back up and then when you feel like your ready turn around the way her head is pulled and then on the turns pull on her rains tighter and more up ward so she can make tighter turns." I told her as I walked her back into the tunnel.

   " Yup, got it." She said as I was walking back out into the arena. And as she backed up when she was almost out she turns and went to the left barrel first and made a flawless turn and she did it for the rest of the turns and made a time of 15.565 which was very good for the first time on a new way to start her run.

   " That was amazing." I told her as she and Hope came up to me.

   " It felt like I made a better run and I had more control of her to also." She told me as she got off.

    *SKIPING THE OTHER HORSE'S TIME*     *ONE HOUR LATER*

   " OK, Taylor your dad should soon be here to get you, so lets go ahead and go brush and un tack your horse's and save them." I told her as we walked out the arena with the horse's.

   " OK."

   " OK, do you remember witch stalls Hope and Chance are staying in?" I asked her as we tied them to the post to un tack them.

   " Yes 12 and 13."

   " OK, just checking." I told her smiling.

   " Ok I'm done with Chance." she said un tying him.

   " OK let's go ahead and put them in their stalls. Would you like to give them a treat." I asked her grabbing two treats and handing them to her.

   " Sure."

   " OK, I'm going to call my brother to tell him to come help me un load all of this stuff would you like to help us until your dad gets here."

" Yeah sure."

      " Hey the session is done yall come back outside and help us unload."  " OK we will be right out."

       * RING RING *

   " hello"  " HI is this Kasey from the horse training place?"  " yes"  " OK this is Taylor's dad I am running really behind and got stuck out my house and I can't leave one of my horse's coliced. Could you bring Taylor home for me"  " Yeah sure"  " OK thank you and Taylor can tell you the directions. Bye."  "OK, bye"

   " OK, what do u want us to un load now?" Kasen asked as, him, Kaden, and Macy walked up.

   " Well I have to bring Macy home and she lives about an hour and 20 minutes away so when I get back so like in 2 an a half hours I expect all of this saved. But I want the big bales of hay to stay loaded cause I'm going to do something with them tomorrow or when I get home from bringing Taylor home." I said starting to un' hook the trailer from my truck.

   " OK, we should be done bye then." 

   " OK, well we gotta to go. Come on Taylor let's load up." 

   " Can I go say bye to Hope and Chance real quick?" she asked getting up from the ground.

   " Yeah hurry up." I told her getting into my truck as she ran back into the barn.

   " OK, I'm ready." said Taylor as she got into my truck.

   " OK, so what is your address?" 

   " It's 205 Johnson Drive."

   " What city?"

   " Scott."

   " OK, thank you." I told her as I put the address in my phone.

            *SKIP DRIVE*

   " Is this it" I asked her as we pulled up to a long drive way.

   " Yes it is." she said as we pulled up to her house.

   " Thank you for bringing me home." she said as she got out of the truck.

   " Your welcome I'll see you in the morning. Bye"

   " Bye."

    When I got back home it was already 6:30 and Kasen Kaden and Macy had unloaded everything I asked them to. When I walked into my front door and slipped my boots off my phone started to ring.

   " Hello"  " Hey babe. How was your day?"   " It was good. I just got back home from bringing that little girl Taylor home and she lived an hour and 30 minutes away. How did you and Marty do?"   " Well I won first so I'm done and Marty won second and he is done to. And the second round is canceled because of the snow that is coming in the morning so me and Marty are about to leave hoping to miss the bad part of the snow storm, so could I come one day early?"  " Of course you can I'll make sure your two stalls are done for in the morning and the quest room also."  " Ok well, when I drop off Marty I am going to crash at his place and then head to your place in the morning so I'll be there I would say no later than 12 in the afternoon."  " OK that sounds good. Y'all drive safe and if it gets to bad pull over and sleep in the rig."  " Yes, ma'am will do."  " Well ok I am going take a shower and then go to bed it was along day."  " OK, see you tomorrow and I'll text you when I get to Marty's and when I am leaving. Goodnight."                            " Goodnight babe, bye"   " Bye"
