When I woke up I went straight to the barn to feed all of the horses and water them, when I was done I went back into my room and got dressed for the day. When I was done I checked my phone and it showed one text and miss call from Shane. So I picked up my phone and called him back.

   " Hello" " Hey, are you still coming at noon?" " Yeah, all I need is the address I'm loading my two horse's up right now." " Ok I'll let you finish get ready and text you the address, bye." " Bye."

   " Who was that on the phone?" my mom asked as she walked in my front door.

   " That was Shane he is coming today instead of tomorrow cause the rodeo for today was canceled cause of the weather. So him and Marty drove back to Marty's place last night and Shane stayed the night." I told her as I put some biscuits in the oven.

   " OK so what time is he going to be here?" she asked.

   " Around noon." I told her as I sat down at my table talking to her.

   " So, where is he going to be staying, how long is he going to be staying, and when do we get to meet him?" my mom asked being curious.

   " He is going to be staying here, and he is staying 3 days, and you will meet tomorrow morning."

   " Why do we have to wait until tomorrow, and where will he be sleeping?" 

   " Because I said so, he has been driving for two days and doesn't need more stress put on him by meeting my crazy family, and Kasen is going to be staying with yall in his room. And Shane is staying in one of the guest rooms."

   " Ok, cause I was about to say if yall are sleeping in the same bed and we haven't even met him, because we would he a problem."

   " Gosh mom we only make 3 months tomorrow. I'm a grown women I can handle my self, and Shane isn't one of those guys. And talking about Kasen when is he going back to Texas?"

   " I think soon."

   " Good cause he needs to go." I said laughing.

   " Then who will take care of your animals when your gone."

   " Well I have 3 stable hands and then yall live right down the road." I told her,

      *6 hours later*

        Shane P.O.V

   I pulled up to a long dirt road drive way with wooden fences on each side of the road with horses in each paddock. Once I pulled threw I saw Kasey's truck and trailer and next I knew there was her dog Gage come running towards my truck. Then when I got out I saw her, her long blonde hair was up in a pony tail as she ran out of the door, towards me.

   Kasey P.O.V

   When I heard a truck pull up I went to the door to see who it was. And then I saw my cowboy get out of his truck so I ran out the door and ran towards him. When I got to him I jumped into his arms.

    " I missed you." he said holding onto me and kissing my cheek. " I missed you to. Come on lets go put your stuff in the house and I'll show you where you'll be sleeping." I told him as we walked back towards the house.

   " So this is your room for the next 3 days. And the tv has cable and there is a bath room down the hall to your left and my room is at the end of the hall." I told him. "THen the kitchen and stuff are down stairs."

   " Ok, can we go get the horse's out?" he asked.

   " Yeah sure." I said as we walked back down stairs. " So how was the drive?"

   " Very long, without no sleep." Shane said unloading his two horse's and following me to the stable's. " They will be in stalls 12 and 13. And they already have a hay net and a water bucket." I told him as he locked the stall doors.

   " Your the best." he said putting a hand around my shoulders and kissing the top of my head.      " So when will I be meeting the family?" he asked getting kinda nervous.

   " Not until tomorrow morning, so don't worry." I told him.

*******NEXT DAY*******

   "CRAP!!". That is all I heard when I woke up. So I got up grabbed my robe and walked down stairs.

   "Shane what are you doing?" I ask him, laughing at him because he is covered in flour.

   " I was trying to get the flour out of the pantry and Gage got in my feet and I tripped over him and the floor went flying on both of us." he said getting up with that little smirk on his lips.

   " Shane, what am I going to do with you?" I asked him.

   " I don't know, and I just got here and I'm already making a mess." he said walking over to me.

   " So what were you doing anyway, with flour?" I ask him as he put his arms around me.

   " I was going to make us pancakes for us to eat." 

   " Oh Shane. And why would you, out of all people be making pancakes " I say laughing at him once again.

   " OK well since you seemed to forget even though you were talking about it two days before I got here but, I don't blame you, you are a very busy person. But maybe I can help you to remember." he said before I knew it, I felt soft gentle lips on my lips and then I remembered we made 3 months today. But I have waited 2 weeks to kiss those lips again so I played along, of still not knowing what Shane was talking about.

   " Any luck he?" he asked. And I shook my head no and once again his lips were back on mine. And I could tell Shane wanted all control of this kiss to try to "help" me to "remember" what today is, but it was my turn. I put my hand on the back of his head and pulled him in closer to fill the space between us. And we went back and forth from there for about 3 minutes and I ended it. Wanting so bad not to but I know I had to. Cause if I didn't I probably couldn't be able to stop. 

    " OK well since both of y'all are very white now, while you clean this mess up, I am going to go give Gage a bath and then you can go take a shower." I said breaking the kiss and pointing to his mess.

   " Yes ma'am." he said pecking me on my lips.

   " OK, Gage let's get in the tube and stay in it this time." I told Gage picking him up and putting him in the bathtub. Last time I tried to give him a bath it didn't go so well I ended up getting the bath, more then Gage did.

   " Shane we are done in the bathroom." I said walking down the stairs into the living room.

   "OK." 

   Next thing I know I hear my name being called from upstairs. "Yes Shane"

   " Can you get my razor out of my bag please I'm to go ahead and shave my face." he said pocking his out from behind the shower curtain.

   " Yeah witch bag is it in?" I asked.

   " It's in the small black bag with my shaving cream. Or can you just get the whole bag and bring it in here?"

   " Yeah." I said as I waked into his room. To see and small black bag on top of the dresser in the room. " So what do you want me to get out of it for you?" I asked.

   " Just get my shaving cream and razor, please." he said as I got them out of his bag and put it on the counter and handed his stuff with him.

   " Hey I'm going to go check on my training horses and feed the cows real quick, text me when you get out if I'm not back by then." I told him walking out of the bathroom.

   " OK ". As I walk out of the door I see my dad drive up with his trailer with something in it.

   " OK, so I see the truck and the rodeo rig. So where is the rodeo man?" my dad asked talking about Shane.

   " Shane is taking a shower. Whats in the trailer." I asked wanting to know.

   " Well you know that racehorse farm about 6 miles down the road from here?"

   " Yeah why?" 

   " Because he has to get rid of half of his horses because he can't keep his ranch because of the government so he has to move to a smaller ranch and he is putting about 1/4 of his horse's for sale and then moving another 1/4 of them to another location then the other half of them are going with him to the new ranch. So back to your question about what's in the trailer, it is a racehorse that has been off of the track for about 5 months, and has won about every Louisiana big event and small event races about twice, and came in twice in the Kentucky Durby 3 times." he said as we walked to the back of the trailer. 

   " So what your saying is that you bought a race horse?"

   " Yup and her baby."

   " So you bought a racehorse that has been off of the track and her baby. Dad where are you going to keep two races when you barely have enough of space for your 25 pairs of cattle and 4 horses at your little ranch."

   " That's the thing I'm not you are, cause I bought the horse for you and there is not 2 of them yet because the mare is pregnant. That's why she has been off of the track for so long."

   " One question why did you get me a race horse I already have enough of horses and I have a retired racehorse already."

   " Yes I know you have one already but that racehorse was on the track for about 3 months cause he was no good, that's why he is not running anymore. This mare is still fit for the track she is 6 years old she still has a full life."

   " If she is still young enough why was she for sale?"

   " Because they don't like to race a horse that has given birth before they say they never run the same."

   " Ok, but why did you buy her for me, or better yet how much did you pay for her."

   " Well since she is pregnant, and she has won over 3 million in only 10 races, and the owner doesn't want the foal and he used a very very good stallion I payed 520,000, but get the thing you get to keep the foal, if she has trouble foaling or gets in trouble or gets hurt, the man I got her from pays for it all." When he said how much he payed for that damn horse my mouth dropped.

   " Why in the hell would you pay that much for a horse and her un-born foal that you don't even know that the foal is going to live"

   " Dad I'm not taking that horse, we need to give that horse back and get all of your money back. What are you going to tell mom."

   " Your mom knows she was all for it. And i think once you see this horse you are going to want to take those words back." he said as he opened the stall door. My jaw dropped once again as I saw that horse. She is a beautiful grey and white speckeled horse, and she looked about 15 to 16 hands and she was full of muscle. And I could tell she was made to run fast, fast like lightning. So that's what I'm going name her Lightning.

   " Oh my god dad she is beautiful. I don't know of a person who wouldn't want a person that would want a horse like her. And I mean not just by her coat but how she is built she is made for speed." I say walking up to her and taking the lead from my dad.

   " I know you should see how fast she runs even with a foal that is less than a week away from having her foal."

   " Yeah. I'm not chansing to lose that foal. I'll see how fast she is when she is fit to run, at full speed." I say bringing her into the barn and putting her in her new stall.

   " So what are you going to name her?" my dad asks.

   " Her name is going ti be Lightning." I say, " Would you mine helping me feed the cows?" I ask.

   " I don't see why not I have nothing better to do." he said. After feeding the cows and giving the horses their daily treats and vitamens. When we were walking back to my house my dad asks.     "So when do we get to meet Mr. Shane Hanchey?"

   " Was something I was about to ask you about. Me and Shane have something planed tonight and we are going to eat dinner so I was wondering if we could all do a lunch together."

   " Well that's fine with me I would just call your mom to make sure that she doean't have anything planed for today." 

   " OK dad, and thank you for the horse see you later." I say as I walk my dad to his truck.

   " OK, and your welcome. Bye honey." When I get back in my house I see a Shane sitting on the couch watching animal planet.

   " Was that you dad out there that you were talking to."

   " Yes that was him. So since me and you have plans for tonight. I was wondering if you would want to meet my parents for lunch and you and my family can meet."

   " Yeah that's fine with me. And since when do we have plans for tonight?" Shane said.

   " Since I said so." I said getting up and grabbing my phone.

        *PHONE CALL WITH MOM*

K- Hey mom I was wondering if we could all meet for lunch today and y'all could meet Shane. Dad said it was fine by him, but just to run it by you first.

M- Yeah that's perfectly fine with me. Do you want me to make reservations some wheres for us. And how do you like your new horse?

K- She is so beautiful. And I can tell she was built to run, have you seen the muscles on her she is a beast I can't wait to run her. And yeah you can if you would like.

M- I knew you would like her. Where do you think Shane would like to eat at?

K- I don't know let me ask him.

   " Shane where do you want to eat for lunch my mom is going to make reservations?'

   " Um....  How about El Paso I saw one on the way here."

K- Shane said El Paso if that's ok with you

M-Yeah that's fine and your sister has been asking for mexican food so she will be in a good mood.

K-Ok so we will see yall at 11:30 if thats a good time for yall

M- Yeah that's perfect

K-Ok see y'all then. Bye

M-Bye

   " So who will I be meeting today at 11:30?" Shane asked coming from behind me and sitting in a chair at the island in the kitchen.

   " You will be meeting my Dad, Mom, little sister Macy, little brother Kaden, and older brother Kasen."

   " OK, that's not bad."

   " Nope it's not. So do you want to see my new horse that my dad just dropped off." I asked smiling.

   " Sure." 

   " OK, here she is." I say and Shane's jaw drops like mine when then first time I saw her.

   " She is beautiful." 

   " Yeah I know she is pregnant and she should have her foal in 2 to 3 days. And she is a race horse also and she is 5 years old and she has only been off the track for 5 months so she was running when she was pregnant for the first 3 months, so she's a tough horse."

   " I'm sure. Look at her she is tall and muscular. And she is very large also are you sure it's just one baby."

   " I don't know, we will have to see in the next couple of days, or if you don't mind we could bring her to the vet after lunch."

   " Yeah that's fine. So what are you going to do with her after she is ready to run again?"

   " I don't know I mean, she is built for speed I mean look at her, but they ran her 3 months when she was pregnant that must have been tough on her I don't just want to rush her back on the track, but she has won at least all of the races in Louisiana and in the past 4 months when she was pregnant before the noticed, she earned all most 3 million dollars."

   " Wow. That's a lot of money. So back to my question what are you going to do with her."

   " Well, I might train her for a barrel horse I need a back up in case Charlie gets hurt or something happens. And she would probably make a good barrel horse with her muscle and speed that arena would be on fire under her feet."

    " Yeah I get what your saying. We should get going it's 11 and the place is at least 15 to 20 minutes away."

   " Yeah your right." 

   Before I could open my own door to the drivers side it was opened by Shane then closed by Shane, And then he said, " I am driving." And so I followed him to the passenger side of his truck and he opened my door and he helped me get in. Then when we got there I let him open my door for me and I got out and he said, " I'm kinda nervous."

   " Don't be. There is nothing to worry about. They are going to love you." I told him on the outside of his truck. Then we kissed and we walked in.
