Prompt: Perrie and Jade are best friends. They grew up together, experienced things together and lived almost each day of their lives together and little did Jade know that Perrie is falling all in her.

Perrie's POV

Jade and I met each other at one, sunny day in the park.  We were both shy at first but when we got to know each other, I instantly knew that I found my very best friend! We instantly clicked and from then on, we started our journey together. We are from the same place but our houses are quite far from each other but we make sure that we meet and have a playdate every now and then. And that's where our story starts...

"Pez, would you like to play a cooking game?", a small and angelic voice spoke to me.

"Yes. Anything you want, Jadey.", I replied and beamed at her.

She then held my hand and pulled me towards her cooking play set. She has a lot of toys and she influences me in playing all of those so I, too, after having a play date with her would ask my parents to buy me the stuff that we played that day.

"Now, I want to be the chef and you will be the one serving the food to our guests. Would you let me cook, Perrie please?", she gazed at me with her soft, puppy eyes and of course, I would let her do what she want.

Even at a young age of 7, she already know how to find every person's soft spot and get their hearts. Just like how she did to mine.

As I look at her, she have started 'cooking' the meal that I'm supposed to serve. I can see her just throw every ingredient to the small pan and I can't even distinguish whatever it is that she's preparing but for her happiness, I would eat and serve all of that and satisfy her.

Dishes after dishes, plates after plates she gave me and sent me out to deliver it to whoever I see inside their house. 

Time has quickly passed and we haven't even noticed it yet and now, it is already time to say goodbye after a fun and long day.

My mom is now here to fetch me and we are currently at the front of their house.

"Go on, Jade, say goodbye to Perrie now.", Jade's mother said to her.

I see Jade getting near me again and I just smiled at her.

"Thank you for a great play day, Pez! I'm so excited for the next one! I want to see you again!", Jade said to me enthusiastically. 

I couldn't think of a good enough reply to her and I for sure is gonna miss her and just look forward for our next play date.

"Me too, Jade, me too.", I simply replied.

She caught me off guard when she engulfed me into a tight hug and when she pulled away, she planted a chaste kiss on my cheek which left my cheeks pink and blushing. 

"See you soon, Pez!"

"See you soon, Jadey!"

10 years later...

Jade and I now moved into a house that their family owned so thag we can both be nearer to our school and I loved staying with her so much because we've grown so close to each other and I can't even live a day without her.

"Perrie, come on! We are so gonna be late!", Jade whined from outside the door of my room. 

Speakjng of Jade, we are now heading to our school in which both of us will probably be late to.

"I am nearly done, just be patient okay!", I replied back while I am brushing my hair and applying hair spray in it to let it set since I kind of slightly curled it today. My voice is a little louder since she might not hear me from the other side.

"You always take so long to prepare and dress up and all! You know I hate being late and missing classes, Perrie! I love my first period, that's Physics!", she groaned, obviously still pissed at me.

"And you also know that I hate my first period so much which is Algebra! If we take a little more time, that wouldn't be so bad, my time for Algebra would be lessened!", I answered back while I am currently applying light lipstick that can't really be noticed just to give my lips a little color since it is pale.

"If we are late today, Perrie, I won't talk to you for a month!", she said again which caused my eyes to widen and for me to grab my bag and get out of the door in record time.

Oh, she wouldn't dare do that. I would literally hate myself if I pushed her to do so.

As I looked up at the wall clock, it's already 8:50 in the morning and our class starts at 9 am. Our school is just a 10 minute ride from our homes but our time of arrival still depends on the traffic today. And since it is rush hour, we might be a little teeny tiny bit late. Shoot.

Jade just walked fastly right out the door and into the car and slammed it shut which caused a lot of sound.

You might have say to Jade that she should've just left me and went to school earlier but guess what? I am the driver, so she has no choice which is actually a good thing because I can know where she is going, drop her off and fetch her. I know, I am so protective of her but that's what best friends do right? We're just best friends...

The light turned red, damn it. It's only 5 minutes before the bell rings and we are two turns away from our school. We still need to go to our lockers and find our rooms. Jade's is still giving me the silent treatment. When I turned my head to look at Jade, I gave her my pleasing eyes and I hope that she sees the same sparkle in it that she always give in to but I don't think it worked this time since she just rolled her eyes at me.

"Jade, please don't ignore meeee.", I whined like a baby.

I know that she will answer now but I expected something more than just six words. Stupid light went green.

"Just drive fast and safe, Perrie.", she said and turned her head away again.

I just did as she said.

I love it when I have to be so loving to her when she's mad because I can see that she still has a soft spot for me. It gives me a reason to be extra cuddly to her and be so sickening sweet but I don't want her to be so pissed at me. I reallg need to do something. I love Jade,... as a friend? And I don't want her to be mad so I need to change my habits from this day forward.

Anything for her.

After that thing that happened, I changed my routine of waking up for Jade. I even wake up earlier than her and be the one to prepare our breakfast in most days unless she needs to do something before we go to school or I had a really late night.

Things are going so better and Jade and I are in such a great place. 

I noticed that Jade have also been sweeter to me than usual and I am also doing the same. I don't know what it is that we have right now but I surely don't ever want to lose it.

If this is what I need to do in order for Jade to be happy and have her with me forever, I will do it.

7 years later...

Jade and I have both successfully graduated in our programs and are now working. We are still living with each other but now in our very own condo which we purchased with our own money.

Jade is now a publicist and I am a business consultant.

Our bond is stronger than ever and with the years that has passed, I realized that what I'm feeling for Jade is something greater than just friendship but I never tried to push my luck, she wouldn't have felt the same way anyway.

It's now quarter to 8 and I am waiting for Jade to be home so that we could have dinner together.

When the clock hit exactly 8, I heard the door clicked and slammed shut.

I rose up from my seat and welcomed her with a hug.

"Jadoreeee!", I screamed!

"Pezzaaaaa!", she exclaimed with the same excitement.

"This is the 396th day of you being so clingy to me and welcoming me with a hug.", she said again.

"Surely you've counted all of it, huh?", I teased.

"That was a hypothetical guess, sweetie.", she spoke again.

"I know you're tired and hungry so you change upstairs while I prepare the dinner, yeah?", I offered which she agreed in.

As I was setting the table, I've thought carefully if I should confess my feeling to Jade now. It's been quite so long and I still don't have the courage to tell her.

Maybe I should. I know that she also noticed why I am being extra sweet to her. I am such a sucker for her move. It isn't quite a secret that I am falling all in her.

Jade finally went down and we startes eating dinner. Our dinner was going smoothly until she spoke up.

"Pez...", she trailed down.

"Yep, Princess?", I said, the term of endearment slipping out of my mouth before I even knew it.

"You know I just want to ask you something.", she said again.

"What is that?", I spoke, my anxiety spiking.

"I value your opinion so much, and I just wanna ask you if, like, is it alright if I get into a relationship?", she asked as if my world didn't just come crashing down at me.

I gulped and drank water. My throat feels dry. Yes should be my answer. I should support her. I should let her be happy. But my heart and mind are both screaming no and I followed it.

"No.", I said lowly, but she still seem to hear me.

"Why not, Perrie?", she questioned and raised her brows.

Shit, here we go.

Jade's POV

I don't know what to expect with Perrie's answer.

It's not like I have someone right now but I surely have eyes for a person and she is right in front of me.

I've been noticing Perrie's change of behavior towards me. She seems to be so tough outside, but she goes all soft to me.

I just want to know if my assumptions are right because if so, I would finally have her as my girlfriend.

She's taking so long to answer so I caught her out of her trance.

"Perrie?", I said, not quite sure why she zoned out.

"I know that this is so wrong Jade and I have been feeling this for a while now. I don't want to keep this a secret to you and I don't want you to hate me either so I just chose to keep silent for so long because I am happy and contented to what we have right now. But, hearing you ask that to me, I just realized that, I don't want you to have any other person besides me. I dob't want to lose you. I don't ever want anything between us to change. Jade, I've known you ever since I was 5 years old and from that moment on, I know that I want you to be mine forever. I want you. I like you. I need you in every way possible. Mind, body, heart, soul. This might be a shock to you and you probably don't want anything to do with me right now but I just need to tell you this. Long time ago, I have fell all in you. I love every single thing about you. I love how you scrunch your nose whenever I touch it with mh fingers. I love how you read books and be a nerd. I love how you tuck your hair behind your ears. I love you, Jade and all I want is for you to be happy.", Perrie rambled continuously.

I don't know what to say. Surely, I didn't expect that.

"That is... the sweetest thing, Perrie.", I replied.

"And I-, I...", I trailed, not really knowing what to say so I just said the words that has been our thing ever since we were young.

"Me too, Perrie, me too."

"What?", she asked obliviously.

"I love you too, silly.", I giggled.

"But you said..."

"I just asked you that to know if my assumptions are true. I noticed how sweet you have been to me and how much you care for me and I just somehow felt that you like me...", I explained.

"Am I that obvious?", she grinned.

"Maybe?", I teased.

Perrie stood up and I, too, did the same.

We met halfway and we looked at each other's eyes.

I just know what is bound to happen.

We slowly leaned in and when our lips touched, I felt sparks all over my body.

When we pullwd away, it feels like we have been kissing forever and it is still not enough. We hugged each other and as I nuzzle my nose into Perrie's neck, I remembered that I still want to tell her something.

"And, Perrie, I have also fallen all in you."
