Lighting A Fire Part 4 Final

My senses started coming back to me, when I started feeling movement near by.

"Hey...., are you alright?" A voice called to me. 'W-wait... I was...tied...up...and..'

My eyes suddenly opened up, seeing Kili's face head on with mine, and Fili's just behind him searching my state. "Careful Kili, we don't know how badly injured she is." With arms holding onto my side, I was sat up. Kili was cutting the bind off from the sack, while Fili balanced me from behind. I bit my lip feeling the pain in my stomach as I bent.

"*Cough...!*" I let it out slowly. Making Kili freeze in place, looking back up at me, his almond eyes flooding with concern. "Did I hurt you?"

"N-no....don't be silly." I tried to sound normal, but I knew I couldn't fake it. Fili could tell by my posture just like anyone else. Some part of me did hurt.

"There..!" *Sip* With a last cut of a knife the bindings of the bag dropped to the floor. Having it slide down, showing me under it. "You did great back there, just hold still a little longer please." It wasn't a order, or a request by Fili. More of a plea telling me to not move because they were worried about further injuries.

Kili kneeled down to my right to balance me by my shoulders. While Fili focused on slowly cutting the ropes from my wrist ever so carefully.

"There....done." He slowly let my hands drop down to my side. The brunette prince looking at the side of my face with concern still in his eyes. I was pretty quiet, but who wouldn't be after that?

"Can you stand?" Kili asked. "I think so." "Here..." With that he stood up offering his hand. "Hm..., yet...I am...taller...." I whispered, as he slowly stood me up. "Yes, but you are not feeling well. It's only right." Kili smiled up at me. He never let go of my hand, to my surprise I saw him slowly turn my palm up. " I was right. The tree had done that." His eyes searched my hands. Little scrapes from gripping the tree hard while I was being yanked off from the tree by the troll.

"Stupid troll..." Kili hissed, then looked at his brother.

With a nod Fili spoke. "_____,* He said in a gentle tone* does anything feel out of place?" Offering to help, if something hurt, or I was pained.

I shifted for a moment, trying to figure out what to say. 'Kili here, still held my hands gently. So I wouldn't touch anything with them. Now Fili...was asking me...' I could feel a dull pain pulse in my lower back area. "....my back....area....hurts a bit." This made the blonde look at me with worry, as he tooks steps forward facing me. "May I look?" I shiver hit me. I've never been treated like this before.

"Ah..* He shook his blonde locks*...that's the only way....I can can see your wound.." He trailed off. I looked around seeing Thorin not far off with the others looking at me. Eyes sharp, but he had a confused look on his face. "....one moment.." I began to slowly turn having my back fully facing away from Thorin. Kili glanced back a bit feeling eyes on him. Then he realized why I did so. He now stood in front me, not moving. Fili stepping forward gently moved my torn long jacket to the side. Not saying a word on how it looked, or what state it was in. Then came the single long sleeved shirt I wore underneath. Carefully touching it, Fili began to lift the back side up. My eyes widen in worry. Only to have Kili gently squeeze the top of my hand. Telling me to focus on him.

Pulling a kind smile he forced me to look at him. Almond eyes searching mine to find any hints of pain, or freight.

"!" Feeling the sudden on my back almost made me jump out of my skin. Stopping Fili questioned. "Alright?"

"Y-yeah." I whispered. Gently he began to look at my back. The blonde dwarf prince's eyes widen at the sight. Slowly he ran a finger across a black spot. Only to have me stamp my foot. " ngh...!" "S-sorry." He spoke in apology. While Kili just kept guard over me. I could feel my shirt slowly get dropped down, along with my jacket. Footsteps came up from beside me. "Ha.., there are a few bruises, but nothing serious. Just don't force yourself." The brothers both looked at me. "Kili, we should move. Uncle is getting suspicious."

"Right. This way please." Kili held my hand carefully leading me to the side of a cave, while Fili stood at my side. Thorin still stood watching us with those eyes, before heading inside with a few other dwarfs, and Gandalf.

"May I ask where you have been?" Thorin giving the wizard a sharp look at him asked.

"To look ahead." Replied the wizard with ease, but a slight lie was hidden behind them. He had another reason as well.

"And what brought you back?"

"The King behind."

With a slight smirk, and a bow of his head, Thorin swallowed those words. He was not angry anymore.

The way Kili was helping me down the hill, with Fili so close next to him. It made something jump inside him. I looked at Thorin once again from the corner of my eyes. Listening into his, and Gandalf's conversation. 'So he really doesn't hate Thorin.' I felt a weight lift off my chest.

"💨Ha....."

"Are you feeling well?" Fili looked up at me after hearing my sigh. "Oh, yes I'm fine. Just glad to be alive." I smiled lightly.

We took a few more steps, as I saw Thorin, walk into a cave with Gandalf, and a few other dwarves. "Pfft, what is that stench?" A few of them complained. ...'....ew....' I thought, for once being glad I couldn't be forced into such a place.

"Hey..can we stop here?" I asked. "Of course." Kili replied looking at me. I slowly began to against the side of the cave, trying to catch my breath. "You two should go inside..., see what's in there." They shook their heads in disagreement. "No way, we aren't leaving you here."

"I'll be fine, p-please. I don't want him yelling at you..." I trailed off. Seeing Bilbo wave at me in the distance where he stood next to a tree. I nod my head in acknowledgment, he held up a small canteen of water, asking me if I wanted any. I nod slowly. "?? what was that?" Blinked Kili.

"Oh, sorry.....Bilbo was asking me something." The hobbit trotted over to me, with a kind smile. "Here you are ____."

"Hello Bilbo. How are you holding up?" Fili greeted from next to me as he sat down next to me with Kili on my other side. "Quite well thank you, though I'm more worried about you." He looked down at me. "Those trolls threw you around pretty bad, compared to me that is."

All three looked at me, as I took a drink of water. "It's not as bad as it seems. Only a few bruises here, and there."

"Only a few?! You couldn't even stand earlier." Kili gasped. "Kili!" His blonde haired brother narrowed his eyes down at Kili. Scolding him. Still not close enough to smack his brother across the head for the insult. "H-hey..! I did not mean it like that." Protested Kili.

*T-thump! th-thump* My heart rate went up again. I looked at the brunette now pouting next to me. "I know you didn't Kili, don't worry." With that he slowly looked up at me with shy smile that I have never seen before. It made my heart skip a beat. I grabbed the water once again beginning to gulp more down. Bilbo only chuckled to himself at this. "Careful there, no need to make yourself ill." Fili looked at me.

Not long after that Thorin, and the others popped out from below the cave. I gave back Bilbo his water canteen, yes I was still thirsty, but I did not want to empty it on him. I felt if I did, that would be disrespectful. So I hid my thirst, tiredness, and hungry alone with it.

I could see Bilbo receive a blade from Gandalf. Only to my shock I saw him walk over to me, his strong blue eyes focused on me. *Tap...tap* I looked up just as surprised as the brothers.

"Hello there my dear. I heard how you bought some times in the troll issue along with Bilbo."

"Yes." I nod my head, not sure what else to say.

"I would like to thank you. You saved Bilbo, and gave him a better chance, along with the others. I'm sure you even cracked Thorin's walls that night. He seemed quite surprised."

"Oh, you think? Anyways...it was no trouble I just couldn't stand by, and do nothing."

"Definitely, and for that...." With such ease I watched him pull something out from behind his back. Our eyes widen with shock. Glittering in the sunlight was a beautiful bow, that looked fairly brand new. Along with a set of fresh unused arrows. The design itself was breathtaking. It was enough to make Kili gawk at this, as he was a bow expert from what I heard. His eyes glittered as much as mine, while it was handed down to me by the wizard. "I found this, it looks just perfect for your height, and thin stature. May it serve you well. This is the best kind of bow you can get. It is of elvish make, and something tells me you have experience with one."

"W-woah....." I touched it with my hands. "Elves made this??" I looked at it with shock. " It's so pretty..., thank you Gandalf." I stood up, making the two brothers look at me in slight concern. Ready to catch me if my legs gave. However, I did not I stood strong. I set the arrows across my back along with the bow, ready for when I need it.

"You're very welcome my dear. Do me one last favor will you?" Is wasn't a order, more like a request. " Look after those two. They seem to be fond of you. This is a vast land, you need brothers like that. Keep them safe."

"!!" I..Uh...uh...." I trailed off feeling the heat I never knew I had rose to my face.

"Haha no need! When we will be here! to keep an eye out." Popped Kili, and Fili up from the ground, throwing an arm around my shoulder. "Haha, of course." Nods the wizard.

"Oi, women what is it your doing?! It's time to go." His ordering words hit us all hard. "If you can not come on your own do not even bother." He hissed walking down the hill. "Don't even think about sharing a pony with Kili." I freeze in place making Kili's arm slowly slide off my shoulder.

"Guess something never change." I began to walk forward. "Hmmm." Kili looked at me with sad eyes, then back at his brother who patted his back for a second, walking by him.

We have only been walking for about 10 minutes. Till... *creeaak. snap!* "What was that?" I looked up around in worry. We were down in a deep trench, while a few dwarves stood up on the slated hill.

"Something is coming." Stated Gandalf. My arm suddenly being grabbed I felt myself get pulled back. "Stay close." Fili pulled me back standing in front of me. I looked down seeing Kili looking back at me with concern. *Shshshshshhhhhhhh!!!* Something suddenly came bolting out from the trees.

"Hyaa!! woahh!!!!" A loud booming voice came, while we all stood on our guard. I was frozen in fear. "Radagast..!" Sighed Gandalf in relief.

"It's alright _____." Kili slightly patted my back trying to snap me out of my adrenaline frozen state. My heart was pounding like mad, and didn't show any signs of going back to normal.

"Radagast the Brown, what on earth are you doing here??" Gandalf walked next to this man who I had no idea, who he was.

" I was looking for you Gandalf. Somethings wrong. Somethings terrible wrong."

"W-what...is he...talking about?" I whispered. I felt a chill hit me, a chill that caused my whole body to shake for a moment. "Are you cold?" Whispered Kili to me, eyes full of concern. "No." I took a step forward.

Kili:'??? Alright...then...?' He blinked.

"Yes...??" Replied Gandalf. Who all stood back like sitting ducks. Until I see this guy called Radagast pull a stick bug out of his mouth. I avert my eyes, getting creeped out. "....e-ew......" I had to looked away, which made the brothers, looked at me even more. Till something caught my eyes in the corner. It was rabbits. Cute little fuzzy rabbits.

'Awww. oh my they're so cute....' I felt myself began to walk over slowly in a daze. Fili knocked Kili on the head, suddenly realizing I was leaving them. "Hey, Kili." He whispered.

"Tch..., what??"flinched the brunette. "She's leaving." Pointed Fili with his hand slightly.

'What is she doing?!' Kili began to panic now, not seeing this side of me yet. Thorin was gonna kick their butts, if he knew I went missing.

"...h-hello....there...." I greeted the cute bunnies that were tied to a sled. It made me question, but these rabbits looked happy, lying there in the soft grass. Their heads suddenly zipped up to my form. I literally began to crawl to them now, getting to their level, being even shorter than the shortest dwarf. Even Thorin's eye wouldn't looks this far down into the dirt.

"Aww...look at you. May I pet you?" 'Great, I'm talking to rabbits! This wild must have drove me mad!' Still they were so cute....

While this was going on, Fili, and Kili had sweat dripping down the side of their face. Glancing at me from the corner of their eyes, seeing me right next to the bunnies.

'S-she's! She's!' Kili's panic mode started to kick in. Eyes wide seeing me softly pat the rabbit's fur. It took all Fili had to keep a serious face, to not give Thorin any ideas, but deep down he was panicking just as bad as his little brother. Keeping hit cool He still pulled that Thorin blank face.

'U-Uuncle...p-please...don't...look....p-please...' Began to tell himself.

The rabbits began to pile up next to me, as I patted them. "Alright, just a bit longer. I don't want to get us in trouble." I whispered. "Hehe, you're so cute. Thanks for letting me.. pet you. Life has thrown me into a lot. So this has helped..." I said with a light heart, the rabbits only sat there around me sniffing. "See you later." I greeted them one last goodbye, as they suddenly shot back into their usual position like nothing just happened. I began to crawl back next to Fili, and Kili's feet. Sitting there on the ground, they glanced down at me. As if asking me, why the hell am I sitting on the ground?

I only smiled up to them innocently. As the two sighed to themselves, as they tried to calm down their rapid heartbeats. Ignoring the other's looks that fell me. I narrowed my eyes innocently to what Gandalf was talking about to Radagast. When I see the shorter man pull something out wrapped in a cream colored cloth. "!!" I felt a chill hit me, making me shiver on the spot. I slowly stood up from the ground, the brothers glancing at me, as I took 2 steps forward.

There was something with that. I could feel it. It wasn't a good thing either. '.....w-what is that?? why did I feel a chill hit me after seeing the wrap..'

"That...is not from the world of the living..." A low whisper came to my ears. "!!" *T-thump* I could feel my heart pulse again. Was something going to happen? Is my past going to become more clear to me, or will be shrouded indarkness even more.

"W-WOOOOooooo!!!!!" A sudden howl from in the forest made my blood freeze.
