🌺Unexpected Land Part 8 Final🌷

"....s-so...Kili...?"

"Mh..?" He mumbled trying to adjust my hair still. ".......you said...you found me.......how...?" Remembering how I was hiding from them in the flowers. Shifting his hand with my one lock of hair between his fingers, Kili looked up to the side for a moment.

(Rewind)

The Dwarven princes just took their last step off the silver stairway.

Tilting his head a bit to Fili, the other brother spoke. "Do you think we are getting closer...?"

His saddened face leaving a sting in his older brother's chest.

'I swear on my life, we will!' Thought the blonde prince, but no matter how much he wanted to say it.

He didn't want to give his poor brother false hope.

"...I-I don't know...Kili...." Sighed Fili, giving his brother a sympathetic look.

They began entering the mini forest stone path. Their large leather boots, tapping on the ground.

Their shoulders slumped a bit. However, Kili did not give up hope yet. His eyes flashed a burning passion, no matter how his words came out.

Kili paused for a moment in his steps, looking up towards the top of a tree. His mind filling in the missing blank, thinking he could see my form up there watching them. However, the second he blinked I was gone. Fili peard to look at his younger brother's face.

'..I'm worried...as well..'

"I...had...no idea..." Trailed off Kili.

"I know......don't hurt yourself over it...." Fili's voice was calm, but sad. Setting a kind brother arm across Kili's shoulder, as they stood now next to the bushes where I lay.

'None of us did...'

"Yet......I feel like, it was my fault..." Paused the young archer, seeing the birds chirp high in the trees.

'She would of..like that...' He thought. Feeling his stomach drop.

"W-wah...why...?" Kili's voice sounded shocked.

"I could of...said something...., stopped her...before she ran out. His eyes glistened with almost invisible tears as he replied to his brother. Tear held there, that never fell.

"But I didn't........I couldn't..."

"....it's not your fault........." Kili tried send a happy grin to his brother from the corner of his lips. They walked on, in hopes they will spot me. Their heart hung more the longer they were out.

It started becoming dark before they knew it.

"Still....we can't just leave her out here. It's going to get dark soon. It will be cold, and dark......."

Kili started to panic a bit, they crossed the same area many times. But still had no luck.

Kili's sweet chocolate colored eyes glistened back his brother.

Stricken with pain on his face, Fili had to avert his eyes a bit.

"....the sun will be down soon enough....." Fili froze in place, his eyes searching the area like the warrior he was. The way Thorin told him when he was a child. Looking for any clue they could see.

"We can't just leave here here brother...!" Kili suddenly snapped. Glaring at his brother with sharp panicked eyes.

"I owe her, that much..!" He shook his long brown locks, as he spoke with slight rage mixed worry. It ate at both their hearts.

"W-wait...a second." Suddenly Fili's eyes caught onto something.

"! W-what? what is it." Kili looked up in surprise as his brother held his up to the dark sky.

"The birds have stopped their song for a while now."He stated. Kili tilted his head at this. "Which means......"

Nodding his blonde head, Fili smiled a bit to his brother. "Something, or someone might of worried them. Also meaning they are resting near by." This could mean to things.

Suddenly Kili's eyes lit up. "W-what if there is a path..?! leading to where she might be?" Kicking himself Kili began to speed walk forward, ignoring his brother's words to not rush.

'No, it can't be. She has to be here!' He swallowed.

'Where else would she be??? we searched everywhere." His sharp archer eyes locking onto the ground, and any signs.

Kili's go wide seeing a pair of birds high in the trees, eyes closed, and resting for the night. Their song long gone stopped just as his brother said. Something clicked in him that second. I liked the soft sound of a flute, and birds. Like the words from the past.

'She doesn't like loud meals, and places.' Gasped Kili.

"What is it..!?" Fili's eyes snapped to his brother. Seeing the line of vision as his brother, words came from his mouth. "Sleeping birds."

"Yes, and we are taking it as a sign." Determined as ever, Kili began to plow into the flowers, and plants carefully, not wanting to accidently step on me, or any creature near by. "W-wah. Kili...! hold on we don't-"

"_____...!!!" A shout of shock flooded into the blonde prince's ears. *Thud thud thud!* Fili started running in the direction of the voice. Kili's body completely hidden.

"Kili! where are you!?" He began to worry.

"Over here!!" The voice called again. "Ha.....if we must...." Pausing for a moment to look at the flowers, then he stepped in also.

{With Kili}

"Brother what is it..!?" Called Fili. Until he froze in place spotting the figure of Kili. Kneeling down on the ground, with another figure halfway in his arms.

"I..found her." At that light tears of joy began coming to the young dwarf's face, but vanished as fast as his brother arrived. "Oh...______. I'm so glad....."

Looking over Kili's shoulder wasn't something new, but seeing my passed out form was another. "She looks cold, let's get her back."

"Right,...c-come on..._______." Kili spoke to my sleeping form, as if he was asking for permission to move me. Even though he knew I wasn't going to answer. With all the strength the brunette lifted up my form. Deathly careful to not knock me against something, as if I was made of glass.

"Would...you like some help...?" Questioned his brothers seeing him wobble in his step.

'Tch...., keep it together.....I found you....I won't dare drop you.' Hissed Kili to himself.

"...n-no... I got this." Till both their eyes landed on a leaf suck into my hair."!!!" Kili's eyes look at the leaf in horror, almost cursing at the sight of it.

'How....dare you.....take advantage of....her hair....' Kili's tired eyes glared at the object. Fili twitched at the intense aura radiating off his brother, as he spotted the leaf as well. ".............." Walking over every so careful. Reaching out with his strong hands. Fili swiftly slid the leaf out of the hair. Kili only glanced at him from the corner of his eyes, but never said anything else for the whole way there. He was dead tired. His chocolate eyes having a hint of sleepy red, and stress in them.

But Fili never left his side. Ready to support his brother if he should drop me by accident. He would be there to catch me, or him. It was all he could do.

Not long after that I was placed into the soft silky elven bed. While Fili gently placed his fur coat over my cold body, hoping it would help warm my frozen features. 'Sleep well, for we might not get to again for a while.' He called inside his mind.

*Click*

The door swung over, revealing a tired dirt covered Kili. Grasping two simple flowers in between his fingers.

He called inside his mind. Fili's baby blue eyes looking up with faded pain in them, and was replaced with a peaceful look instead.

"A little something......" Kili stood at the wall with a shy look on his face, feeling embarrassed in tell his brother.

"Heh.., I think she will be pleased." Reaching over Fili gently grasped the golden flower, breathing in it's sweet scent. Before he, and is brother brought it over to the vase, and placed it inside. Their hearts feeling warmer now. "However, with that....earth... I don't think she would be." Fili teased his brother.

"Maybe, you are right?" He tilted his head back at his brother with a playful smirk. The brothers sat in the room for a little while longer through the night, as the warm fur coat of Fili brought the color back to my skin. They left the room that night with one last smile.

Until they breathed one more word. "Sleep well sister." With that they left the room. Only reminisced of golden fur remained around my neck once they left.

{Flashback End}

My heart was pulsing fast. I was stunned. 'It really was them." I gawked at the wall. Trying to hide the look of shock on my face. The flowers, the strange fur, and finding my way back, was all them. I was lost, and they found me, just as Kili said.

"There, it is done." Smiled the brunette at the back of my head. " I hope it fits your fancy." With that Kili slid back against the seat, looking out into the open watching the others gathered around the warm fire. "Oh...." I reached back with my hand. My longer bangs still in place, but what surprised me was the slight...braid at the crown of my head running into a free length of hair tightened into a mini long low pony that had soft leather tie wrapped around near the braid.

"...thank you, I really like it." I smiled a bit to his direction, but he only looked ahead. For my sake of not having the others grin at me more.

Fili tiled his head back with a slight pleasant nod seeing it was finished. Stepping aside he made his way to the food to make something to eat as well, while I sat there with Kili on the large bench.

"It was no trouble, at all." His warm kind words replied shortly after.

A few hours have passed by, the dwarves were quieting down. I was gratefully munching down one some leftover cake that Fili apparently had gone out of his way to find, a elf apparently telling him it would go bad by the next day. Or so he said. I now sat on the far right of the chair, while Kili had his feet up leaning against the back using his pipe, which I wasn't...so fond of. The smell of the burning plant...made me wanna cough. It was hard to handle, maybe I was allergic to it? who knew really, but I felt the need to stand up, and leave respectfully. I didn't want to ruin their fun.

"Bombur..!" The voice of Bofur came in the open. As the large dwarf sitting on a mini table looked up from his meal. As Bofur tossed a sausage to him. Only to grip it with joy, but the short lived happiness left fast. *THUD!* Suddenly the mini table below him collapsed, having poor Bombur roll onto the ground as the others, even Kili burst out in laughter.

"HAHAHAHA!!!"

"Ahhhahahaha!!" Kili's loud voice made me look of him, with my one twitching eyebrow, as he kicked the side of the seat.

"O-ooh...." My look made Kili looked back at me, slumping down in quiet. 'Hehe.' I giggled at his cute, shy look.

"*Cough....*" I felt the smoke getting to me. "Are you alright..?" Blinked the prince next to me, as the pipe hung from his lips in a slant.

"A-ah...y-yeah.. I will live."

He shook his head. ".......you can't fool me." Rolling my eyes a bit, I replied with a soft voice. "....I....can't...really....stand.......s-moke...." I trailed off, feeling bad to ruin their fun.

This made concern get plastered onto both young Druin's faces. "D-does it make you ill? I'm..sorry." Kili began to slid it into his pocket with forgiveness written on his face. Then looked back at my face, checking to make sure if their was any sign of poisoning on it. His brother did the same.

"I'm fine, don't worry. From what I know, it just makes me cough a bit."

"......" A frown came to the the prince's face. "If it bothers you, tell me, alright?" I nod my head giving into both their pleas.

"I'm sorry for interrupting..., but...Thorin...told us we should head to sleep." Fili came up to us another hour later. "Ha... it is....getting late." *Glances at me*

"He also...said we will leave early. First light." Added Fili. Still looking at us two lazy childish beings, just chilling on the bench.

Letting out another sight, seeing as we wouldn't budge. Fili said something again. "He, also said if refused. There would be no rest till night fall the next day." *blue eyes glanced at me once again*

"!!W-ah...seriously?!" Kili's eyes widen in shock. He hated having his legs burn from all the walking, but knew no matter how much they hurt, his Uncle wouldn't care. "____..! w-w-we need to to to sleep."

'F-finally...!!' Fili sighed to himself in success. Seeing his brother pop off the seat, as he began to grab my wrist pulling me off the chair.

"Wwait Kili...! I can't walk that fast." I said in a half sleepy voice. "All the more reason to get to sleep sooner..!" Chirped the brunette.

That night I went to sleep, knowing we were going to leave the elves, and had no idea how this would feel in the morning. I counted on being dead tired by sunrise.

I looked at my ceiling with annoyance. "G-great.....I'm gonna hate it when morning comes....."

I would have to put up with Thorin barking orders, aching joints, fried brain from all the walking, orcs, and stupid wargs, and god knows what else.
