It was around a week ago that that video had come out. I hated that damn video.

A couple girls at our school had recorded me in the girl's locker room, even made this whole big deal about it. And it seems like everyone wants to take their side. My closest friends and family and even those girls should know why I was in there. I just didn't like sharing it.

Well, all my closest friends except one... I hated sharing the way I was born, mostly since the first few times I came out people weren't so accepting. One of them physically attacked me. I was not a fan of that. So i hadn't exactly told Alvaro that I wasn't born a dude. He didn't really need to know. I mean I was gonna tell him eventually.
Those are just excuses though. I probably should've told him earlier. And considering the video I was gonna make tomorrow, I needed to tell him.

I took one last deep breath and accepted the FaceTime request. Alvaro looked worried.

"What's up man? What's the tea?" He laughed nervously. I could tell he thought I was gonna tell him I murdered his mom or some shit.

"So like, do you know about like, trans people?" Wow. Great job me. Real smooth. Then again I never really had to do this before. Telling Kai and Mattia was easy, we were 13 and they didn't give a fuck. They just wanted to play Minecraft.

"Yeah what about it?" He made a face. He could be so oblivious sometimes.
"I have a coochie." I said bluntly. He took a second to process that.
"What?"
"I was born a lady."
"Oh! Oh. ... Oh. So like... That whole thing with you in the girl's locker room?"
"Yeah I have to use the girl's bathrooms and stuff cause my school isn't super cool about that stuff."
"Oh.. okay. Do you get periods and stuff? Do you have boobs?"

I laughed a little. I didn't mean to. But he was so curious. It was just cute is all. "Uh, yeah. On both counts. I use a chest binder and it makes my chest look flat."

"... Why didn't you tell me?"
I really hoped he wouldn't ask that question.
"Well when I was younger and stuff people would get mad at me for it and like, I kinda got bullied for it? I guess? One guy tried to attack me. So I don't tell people unless I really have to."
"So did everyone know but me?"
"Just the kids in my middle school, Kai, Mattia and my family."
"So everyone but me."
"No! Roshaun doesn't know! I— I just wanted to tell you cause like, I'm gonna make a video outing myself so that people stop—"
"So you only tell me when you're gonna tell the whole world? I thought we were closer than that!"
"Alvaro— I didn't mean it like that—"
"I've heard enough." He hung up.

I stared at the screen for a second. There were two ways I thought that would go and that was not one of them.
