if someone made me a treehouse, I would cry

Third Person View

"Jimin? You're here!" Taehyung squealed, running up to his friend who smiled and pulled him into a tight embrace.
"Of course, I'm here. I was invited right?"
"But you said you were in Europe?"
"Came back early. Wasn't going to miss your wedding."
Taehyung smiled, hugging Jimin once again who rocked them side to side.

Taehyung and Jimin caught up on a lot of things after their little meeting at a cafe maybe a week ago?
(Question mark cuz author doesn't remember and is too lazy to look back)

Jimin pulled away.
"Tae, I want you to meet, Fleur. She's a girl I met at Europe. I was wandering all over the place and luckily she was there to help me and we kind of hit it off."
"In the matter of 5 days? I'm impressed."
"You and Jungkook literally had an official date 3 days before your wedding."
"You got that text, huh? I assumed the time difference was a problem and wouldn't think you would respond."

"Hi, Fleur. I'm Taehyung." Taehyung smiled at the clearly half-Korean girl who smiled back.
"Pleasure to meet you."
"What have I missed?" Jungkook asked, standing next to Taehyung, wrapping an arm around him as Taehyung unconsciously snuggled closer.
"Jungkook, this is Jimin, you already know him and—"
"Jimin? As in your old fuckbuddy Jimin?"

The two froze as Taehyung laughed nervously.
"No, Jungkook. That was Na Jaemin. Not Jimin."
(My lil innocent nana..I'm sorry.)

"Ooh.—"
He looked at Jimin and smiled. "You're lucky you're not him."
"I second that." Fleur said with a smile.

Jimin silently thanked Taehyung with his eyes as Taehyung gave him a small smile.
"As I was saying, this is Fleur, his date."

"Nice to meet you both but I apologize for I have to pull Taehyung away for a second."
"Sure, see you later."
Taehyung smiled at them both before leaving with Jungkook.
"Where are we going?"

"You'll see...wait uh, not exactly. I actually need you to put this on."
Jungkook handed him his Tata eye mask that he would wear when Jungkook had to keep the lights on while working in their room. He really couldn't sleep when the lights are on. (Me)

"Why?"
"Just do it, please."
"Fine."
Taehyung put the eye mask on and trusted Jungkook who led him towards——he didn't know where they were going.

They stopped and Taehyung reached for his eyemasks only to be grabbed by the wrists.
"Wait! Get on my back."
"What?"
"We're going downhill, I don't want you to fall."
"That's sweet. But I already did."
"Huh?"
"I fell for you."

"—Why did I marry you again?"
Taehyung shrugged. "My crazy rich Asians of parents."
"Nah. I think I married you because of your lips, your eyes which Im sad that I can't see them right now, your nose, your hands and you."

"Fuck you, Kook." Taehyung muttered but his cheeks went against him as they blushed a red.
Jungkook chuckled and pressed a kiss to his lips before getting down on a knee. Taehyung blindly climbed onto his back before Jungkook started walking again.
It was a few minutes going down when they were finally at the destination.

"I had the chauffeur make sure they bring you to the venue at a longer route so you wouldn't notice. But I wanted to let you know that the wedding was just a mile away from our house."

"What? Really?"
"Yea. Roads go on a different route but through the woods it's fast."
Jungkook pulled his blindfold off.

And their backyard was full of fairy lights and Taehyung noticed the treehouse in the oak tree they had.
"What the hell? When did you make that? How did I not notice it??"
"You aren't really an outside person so I figured you wouldn't even step foot out here."
"I don't know why I'm so happy right now. I feel like a kid again."

"That was my goal." Jungkook said softly.

"I know you haven't had the best of childhoods. Neither did I. But atleast as an adult, I wanted you to experience things like tree houses and hopefully snowmen making when the snow comes."
"Thank you, kook."

"I've always wanted to do these sort of things with my dad, you know. Treehouses, camping hell I would've played a sport with him. I just wanted to spend some time with him. Maybe not with Hyojong but with my dad."
Jungkook chuckled, wrapping his arms around him to back hug Taehyung.

"Am I your dad now?"
"You're my daddy. They're different."
"Whatever you say."
"Can we go up?"
"Not now, prince." Jungkook pecked his cheek.
"I just wanted to show you it. It was a surprise for later but I couldn't help myself."
"Okay then. Carry me back, peasant."

Jungkook sighed but with a smile going back down on one knee.
"Hop on, my king."

Jungkook's aunts were probably the meanest people Taehyung had met. Maybe not but they were close. They were scrutinizing Taheyung on everything. Calling him a gold digger, asking about his father's bankruptcy, they even asked about Maddie.
His grandmothers on the other hand, were angels. They complimented Taehyung and even thanked him for marrying a brain dead like Jungkook. Which was a bit mean but he wasn't going to say that and just smiled at them.

Blair pulled him around the hall to meet people. Some were people he's never seen before and wondered how they made it in the wedding list but he shook it off and guessed they were invited for a reason.

Only a few people from his side of the family came, considering they hated Hyojong and Hyuna but other's didn't let their hatred be a reason to not go to Taehyung's wedding.

It was time for the toasts as everyone sat down.
The first to speak was Hyuna who had obviously made a prepared speech that everyone believed.
She blathered about remembering Taehyung playing around in the living room and now he was getting married.
But Taehyung didn't have the same memory. Everyone believed her but himself and maybe Jungkook.

Next was Jimin, who talked about how Jungkook made him a better person for he became less whiny and bratty.

A few other people from Jungkook's side spoke before Blair.
"I was a rather busy mother. I had to accompany Robin to business meetings and trips, missing out on Jungkook's childhood and adolescence. During the times he needed me the most. But now, I'm glad that I get the chance to be a part of his life again. And I'm glad that he has you, Taehyung. Please take care of him when I couldn't and can't."

"Always." Taehyung mouthed to her as she smiled.
"It is one thing to recite or say your vows but it's another thing to fulfill them everyday. Renewing them and loving eachother more than you did yesterday."

"I once had a special person in my life. The only one I ever opened up to, who broke down my walls and the only one I've ever trusted. But with Taehyung, he brings me out into the world. He lets me explore feelings that I've never felt before. That person, she taught me how to love. Taehyung, he taught me how to love myself. And I consider myself very lucky to have him—,"

"A lot of you may think that our marriage was just for show. And I'll admit hat it was at first but believe me when I say that I'll never lovr someone as much as I love Taehyung." Jungkook smiled at Taehyung who smiled back weakly. It was rather ironic because of the tears that flowed out of his eyes.

"I would like to propose a toast to my beautiful husband. When people say 'I can hold the world in my palms', it's quite accurate and true. Because when I hold your hand, when I hold you—it feels like that. I love you, Kim Taehyung"

"I love you!" Taehyung shouted back as the crowd cheered, clinking their glasses together before drinking the bubbly champagne.

The reception went rather quick. Taehyung had to talk to some of Jungkook's relatives. Some were really snobby, others were just dinsinterested.

Jungkook and Taehyung went home after all the guests. Blair stayed to help clean up, which the couple insisted on assisting her but she pushed them out of the venue, telling them that she'll rather have them having sex than cleaning. The two blushed before going down the steps to Jungkook's car."

"We're married."
"We are." Jungkook replies, holding Taehyung's hand as he drove. He longingly kissed the silver band on his ring finger as Taehyung smiled at him.

When they got home, they changed it of their clothes and landed on the bed.
"We're married." Taehyung repeated.
"Yes. Last time I checked."
"Are you sleepy?"
"Yes. Can w-we just sleep for right now? B-but we c-can do—it. If t-that's What you want."

"Hey,—"
Jungkook held his cheeks in between his hands.
"I married you, not sex. We can always do it on our own time, yea?"
Taehyung nodded and kissed him.
"Thank you."
"Anything, Taehyung. Anything."

"Sleep now, my love. When you wake up, I'll be here. I'll always be here."
