Third Person View

Taehyung and Jungkook decided against a honeymoon. Though Jungkook insisted, Taehyung said that the raven had a lot of important meetings and inductions during that time and he wasn't feeling very good.

And it was true because the next morning, he had a high fever.

"I'm staying home."
"No, you're not."
"You're sick, Taehyung."
"I can take care of myself, Jungkook."

Jungkook sighed and sat next to Taehyung who had a box of tissues laying beside him and a cold towel on his forehead.
"I will be worried, Taehyung."
"Then I will reassure you that you have no reason to be."
"Are you sure?" Jungkook asked softly, reaching to cup Taehyung's hot cheek.

"Very. Plus i don't want you getting sick too."
Jungkook rolled his eyes leaned down, kissing Taehyung deeply.
"Looks like I dont really care."

Taehyung smiled softly before rolling on his side.
"Let me sleep now. My head hurts."
"Okay, baby. I'll bring you back a shit ton of shit and we'll watch movies."
"Sounds like a plan."

Taehyung closed his eyes as he felt Jungkook give him a kiss on the temple.
"Love you."
Taehyung hummed and went to sleep.

Taehyung was right, he had a whole bunch of meetings and unanswered emails.
He sighed before sitting down in his chair, opening the emails and reading them. Some were from small companies that were asking for a sponsorship on a product, others were from companies that wanted him to attend an induction or celebration held there.

It was around 1 when he finally finished up the paperwork and emails together and just needed to attend 3 more meetings. Yey.

He closed his eyes and leaned on his chair, his blazer was long gone, his tie was strewed on the floor, and the first three buttons of his button up was unbuttoned.
He had a pounding headache as the door his office suddenly opened.

"Please, I'm just taking a break and I'll be with you in a second." He mumbled, eyes still closed.
"Jungkook—"
Fuck,
He opened his eyes and saw her again.
"Maddie, it's the third time you came to me unannounced."
"I-I know—but I need your help, please."
Jungkook sighed and got up from his seat, now sitting on the desk, his head still hurting.

"What is it?" He understood why she aborted the baby, but he just wished she consulted him first. And why would she even tell him, if she already aborted it. But he left it be, not wanting to light up old candles.

"My u-uncle, the one I live with,—"
Jungkook nodded, remembering the first time he met him. He looked normal, was a bit strict but nonetheless, he kept food on the table for Maddie so he really didn't have a reason to dislike him.

"He kicked me out after f-finding out about the abortion—"
"Maddie,—"
"Please, I dont know what to do."

She was shaking, she looked so—dead.
She was paler than usual, she got even skinnier, her eyes weren't a bright emerald, they were now dull and deep bags hung from those eyes.

"You know we don't have an extra room at my house—"
"I can sleep on the couch and leave early. I— Please, just for a few days until I c-can figure out what to do, Jungkook— Please. I wouldn't have gone to you if I had someone else, you know that."

Jungkook sighed. It was partially his own fault and he had to own up to that. He just hoped Taehyung would react the way he hopes he will.
"Okay. How will you continue your education? It's far from my house."
"I'll wake up early, Jungkook. Please?" She asked softly.

Jungkook went to his meetings, Maddie stayed in the office. When on his way back to his office, his assistant, Irene stopped him.

"Sir,—"
He stopped and looked at her. She looked tired, she was a bit haggard, bun out of place, clothes wrinkled.
"Is there something wrong?"
"Uhm,—No,I—"
He beckoned her to comtinue as she cleared her throat with a cough.

"I-I know it's not my p-place and I could be possibly f-fired but,—I just wanted reassurance...to why Ms.Song is here. Because I h-hope you're not cheating o-on Mr.—Taehyung,sir."

Irene was always a nice girl. She was kind, always tried to do some work for Jungkook so he had less to worry about.

"Irene,I—. I'm actually glad you ask, I'm glad that you care for me and for Taehyung and you two haven't even spoken to each other yet. But I can reassure you, she just needs a place to stay. Nothing more."
Irene nodded. "Thank you, sir. I c-couldn't focus all day because of it."
Jungkook smiled. "Why don't you go home now, Irene?"

"Oh, I can't, sir. I have to organize your meetings and—"
"Do it tomorrow. Take the rest of the day off. You deserve it."
Irene smiled and nodded as Jungkook went back in his office.

Maddie was asleep on his couch as he grabbed his things. He approached her and sighed, she was so peaceful.
He tapped her shoulder as she only fussed and stayed asleep.
"Maddie, we have to go now."
She owned her eyes and sprang up.
"S-sorry, I didn't notice that I fell asleep."

The two went to the garage to Jungkook's car.
"I have to go to the store."
Maddie nodded, putting her seatbelt on.
They stopped by a store as Jungkook grabbed a basket.

"What do you need? I can go fetch them so it will be faster."
"Uh. Very well. Those sugar cookies they sell in the plastic containers, five boxes of tissues,—"
"Five?"
"Yes, five and uhm,...paracetamol and ibuprofen. I think I can manage the rest, they're all in the same aisle."
"Okay." Maddie nodded before leaving to get the items.

He walked into the candy aisle and got a whole bunch of gummies and chocolate. He also got snacks for Taehyung.
Maddie had found him, juggling the items in her hands.

They paid at the counter before going back to the car.
"You hate sweets."
"They're not for me."
Maddie nodded and kept quiet for the rest of the ride.

"I'm sorry for the way I reacted about the abortion. I let my emotions get it the way without realizing or considering on how you felt. But I did t know what you expecting, telling me you were pregnant only not to be. And it would have been nice if you discussed it with me beforehand. Nonetheless, my actions and words were uncalled for."
"I'm sorry too."

———

Jungkook brought his things and the plastic bags inside the house.
"I'll get pillows and uh—blankets."
Maddie nodded as she watched him run up stairs with the items.

"Tae?"
He furrowed his eyebrows as he didn't see his husband on the bed.
His stomach dropped as he heard pained groans and hurls from the bathroom, dropping the items. He ran into the bathroom and saw Taehyung leaning over the toilet.

"Taehyung."
The aforementioned looked at him, eyes weak as he panted and wiped the corner of his lips.
"Sorry,Koo."

"No. Baby,no. You have no reason to be sorry."
"I think I ate something bad. I don't know."
Jungkook nodded as he rubbed Taehyung's back.

Once he was sure that his stomach was empty, he weakly walked to the sink and garbled up Listerine.
"I should've bought antiemetics."
Taehyung spat out the mouth wash.
"I'm fine, Koo." He said with a smile.

Jungkook carried him back to the bed and laid him down.
"I bought you snacks and tissue."
"Thank you."
Jungkook retrieved the fallen bags and placed the items next to Taehyung.

"Tae,Uh—"
"Yea?" Taehyung replies softly, eyes closed but he looked in pain.
"D-do you want water?"
"That would be great."
Jungkook nodded before getting up.
He made sure to retrieve a pillow and blanket from the hamper before walking back down.

Maddie was on the couch, picking at her fingers.
"Here."
He dropped the things on the couch before going to the kitchen and grabbing a bottle of water.
"Goodnight." Maddie squeaked. Jungkook hummed before walking back upstairs.

He walked inside and locked the door before handing Taehyung the water, which he finished fairly quickly.

"You look tense. Did something happen at work?"
"Uhm— Maddie came by."
Taehyung looked at him with hooded eyes.
"Is she okay?"
"Yea. Uh—she's here..."
"Why?" Taehyung asked, a bit pushy and forward, obviously not liking the idea but knew she wouldn't be here without a reason.

"Her uncle kicked her out after finding out about the abortion. She just needs a week to—figure things out. I guess. A-are you angry with me?"
Damn, with those eyes, I couldn't be even if you cut off my finger.

"I'm not mad. Just—weary, I guess."
"I'm sorry, Tae."
"No need to be. Now cuddle me, I feel dead."
Jungkook smiled and nodded.
