Jungkook stayed up the rest of the night, his mind to clogged to sleep peacefully.

He thought about his job, his wretched mother, his reputation, Maddie and Taehyung.
He thought about what Taehyung could be possibly doing right at this moment. Maybe he was letting off steam with sex or drinking. Maybe he was in an alley, lying dead. Who knows?

His thoughts traveled to Maddie. Her pure, beautiful soul didn't deserve such treatment.
She didn't deserve to be set aside, to be hidden, to be cheated on. She deserved to be cherished and loved by someone who'll give it to her at any time of the day.

Someone Jungkook will never be.

He truly loved Maddie.
She was the one who opened his heart to things. Her smile that shined a bright light and those eyes. Jungkook loved her pretty, green eyes that reminded him of the forest he used to venture in when he was younger. One of the best memories of his during his childhood.

But no. Something. Just something about those glareful, judging, mischevious chocolate brown eyes lured him. He was enchanted by those eyes, enough to get lost in them. But to be frank, Jungkook didn't really mind getting lost into those eyes.

To him, Maddie deserved everything but Jungkook didn't deserve Maddie. Lusting about another person other than your lover? That should be a crime. Infidelity is a sick crime that shouldn't have been committed. And knowing Maddie was on the receiving end? No, she didn't deserve that.

He ran to his phone, calling her number and telling her sleepy state to come to his house ASAP.

"Jungkook, what's wr-"
The raven connected their lips once Maddie walked in, still a bit groggy.
"I love you." Jungkook repeated over and over again, each with a kiss on her face as Maddie.
The girl giggled as she held onto Jungkook's shoulders.

"Why are you like this all of a sudden? Where's Taehyung?"
"No, questions. I-"
She looked at him expectantly as Jungkook sighed.
"Let me treat you right." He whispered as he pulled her closer.
"Koo." She mumbled with a blush.

"Let me show you....how much I love you."

(lets skip that)

Taehyung was by a cliff, his feet dangling off the edge of it as he saw the sun rise. It took quite a while to get there but he deemed it worthy of his time just to see the dawn of the sun over the city, half of the sky still a dark blue.

He kicked his feet back and forth as he looked at his dirtied body.

No one likes you, Taehyung.
Your parents like money
Jungkook is in love with Maddie.
Get your head out of your ass.
I'm all you got.

"Shut up." He muttered to himself as he held his head in between his hands.
He counted down from twenty, a method that usually helped him in situations like these.

He reopened his eyes, looking at the vast buildings with a sprinkle of trees here and there. The sky was beautiful. A hue from yellow, orange, red, purple and blue of the sunrise.

After A few more hours, he decided to go back home to wash off since he only came out in his sleepwear and a pair of vans. He had to walk miles, go through trees, occasional mud since it was slightly raining to get to that cliff. Yet again, it was worth it.

He arrived back at the driveway at around 8 in the morning. Dirty, exhausted and sleepy.
He needed a shower and a bed, hell, he can even sleep in the shower.
He threw away his mudded Vans before slowly making his way up the stairs, he remembered them not being this hard to climb.

He lazily opened the door to Jungkook's room and was met with a rather bittersweet sight.

The early morning sun set off beautiful rays of sunlight on the two naked couple in the bedsheets. They looked rather aesthetic. Jungkook's arms wrapped tightly around Maddie who was completely snuggled up against Jungkook.

Though, the sight was cute, doesn't mean he didn't feel a wrecking ball go through his chest.

He grabbed some clothes before showering, making sure not to drop anything to wake them up.

The warm shower unstiffened his muscles but also hid the fact that he was silently crying. He stood under the shower head, blankly staring at the wall. He didn't know what to do with his life anymore.

He was the impulsive type. He did things without thinking of the consequences, he just did them. Either for his personal gain......or his personal gain. He never really cared about anyone but himself. When he fired Mary that day, he didn't think of why she had the job in the first place. Most likely to provide for her family. But Taehyung only realized that a bit too late.

After a 30 minutes under the shower, he got out and dressed up before walking out of the bathroom to see Jungkook sitting upright, looking at him with an indescribable look in his eye.

Taehyung gave him a reassuring smile, before pressing his forefinger against his lips.
"Shh." He hushed as he pointed to Maddie. He took a random car key and his phone before exiting the room.
