Y/N POV

I don't really like to admit it, but I cried a lot. My father was gone, forever. I could hardly believe it. It may have been against his wishes, but I stayed on Zebes and gave him a proper Chozo Funeral. All of the 12 steps, ironically enough it was him who taught me them. He told me that I would outlive them all and I would have to bury them all. I was so busy with the funeral that I hadn't even looked at what he gave me.

Alright, let's see what this is

I looked into the pouch he gave me and there were 3 things, a medal, a data chip, and a note. The medal was the 'Hero Of the Chozo' and looked to be handmade by Gray himself, the Data chip was just that, and the note read this.

"Y/N, If you're reading this, my physical body is gone, we both knew this day would come, and whether my demise was natural or un-natural does not matter now. Back when you were first found I was unsure of how this would pan out, but looking back it was the best decision that Old Bird ever made to keep you. I know now that you are destined for great things, and I am glad that I could be a part of it. I am proud of you son, but I think you know that already. The medal with the note was the 'Hero of The Chozo' medal, it's the highest honor we have, I made this one just for you, which makes you the first in near an eon to earn it. The chip was a project we were working on, a type of library and AI helper, it's not as free as Mother Brain so don't worry about it going rogue. Now go, You've outgrown the nest, you have a legacy to carry on, I hate to put such a burden on your shoulders but we've prepared you for this."

Your Father, Gray Voice.

*Timeskip, Somewhere in space, Y/N POV*

I was coasting through space currently with nothing but my thoughts to keep me company. I know where to go, the Chozo evacuation plan had been made long before I was born and I had the coordinate put in. I kept looking at the note as if it was going to change. I finally decided to plug in the chip that Gray had made into my suit, and when I did a flood of number came in front of my face, but it suddenly settled down.

AI: "Hello, I am CIU-219," It said in a voice all too familiar.

Y/N: "Gray?" I asked.

AI: "Gray Voice has incorporated elements of himself into the programming, such as but not limited to his voice." It replied.

Y/N: "Okay, well, what can you do?" I ask

AI: "I have a full library of all of the Chozo and Federation literature, research, and sciences. I can access them whenever needed." It replied

Y/N: "Alright, do you have a name?" I inquired.

AI: "My unit designation is CIU-219, and-" I cut him off

Y/N: "I am not calling you CIU-219, how about, Data?" I ask

Data: "That name will serve well," He replies almost happy.

We talk for a bit, but suddenly the ship gives me a warning that we have to pull out of warp speed.

I run to the cockpit to get a view of what's happening, and once we pull out of warp speed I see that the Federation fleet and Pirate fleet are interlocked in a massive battle.

Y/N: "Data, get me the hell out of here!" I yell.

Data: "I'm sorry sir, I'm calculating routes now!" He replies.

I have to bob and weave my way through hundreds of star fighters and ships. plasma fire everywhere. I cruised over top a big Federation cruiser, and once I was over it pulled down into the meat of the battle.

Data: "This ship is too old for me to take autopilot of, you're going to have to follow my instructions." He said to me.

Y/N: "fine by me." I reply

I see something light up on my nav ball and I set my heading towards it. On the way there I fly in a mostly straight line. While I'm doing that however I see a battleship get destroyed in front of me, thousands of star fighters in loose fights, and me narrowly skimming past Pirate Artillery fire.

Data: "We're almost there, just keep going!" Data said to me.

I stay silent, but suddenly out of nowhere a stray round hit my ship and I was sent tumbling out into the unknown.

Of course and with nothing in sight, I look out the window to see what looks like a tear in space time.

Y/N: "Data, What is that?" I ask.

Data: "I am not able to find anything concrete, however it matches multiple theories descriptions of a universal tear." He replied

Y/N: "We have no power, and we're going towards it, so we're dead aren't we?" I ask.

Data: "I cannot be certain, those theories are theories after all." He replied.

Great, just great, well I hope it's quick.
