Chapter 13

Day 2
I wake up feeling extremely tired. Thomas didn't rest well last night for his leg hurt to much. He is asleep still so I go over to the horses. I feel so sorry for them. Tied up all day and night.
When I walk over to them they start snorting in happiness. "At least your together." I tell SoloNight and Cricket. Cricket muzzles me and I nearly fall over.
Once again I go collect lots of green grass for the horses to eat and then go get water for both them and Thomas and I.
By the time I get back I go check on Thomas to see him awake."how long will we be out here? Is help coming?" He asks.
"I don't know because they don't know where we are." I say.
"OMG, I'm so sorry! I shouldn't have brought you out here without telling someone where we are and then I jumped off that stupid rock! And know we're stuck here. I'm so sorry Stacey, it's all my fault." He says.
"No don't do this!" I say.
"Do what?" He asks.
"Blame yourself for everything! It's not good for you! Trust me I'd know." I exclaim. I gave Thomas some water and a muesli bar for breakfast then left the tent in a huff. For the rest of the day I try to make a plan for our survival and for when help comes. If help does even come.
I set up a system with the food. It will last us one more day the water come fresh from the lake.
That afternoon I decide it would be a good idea to let the horses walk around. They've been tied up to a tree for nearly two days. I hop onto Cricket struggling to get into the saddle. Once I'm on I untie his bridle. I walk Cricket over to SoloNight and grab his lead rope. He follows me while I ride Cricket.
We walk over to the other side of the lake where there is a shaded tree where I can tie up the horses. There is also fresh long grass growing. I tie SoloNight up while I walk Cricket into the water. The water was up to my ankles and Cricket seemed to enjoy himself. After the cool down I tied Cricket to the tree next to the long grass that was growing. I grabbed SoloNights lead rope and walked him into the water. I didn't ride his as he was a mighty stallion and I had only ever ridden Cricket before.
SoloNight enjoyed the refreshment just as much as Cricket did. After tying both horses to the tree again I felt the urge to let them free. They couldn't possibly spend the rest of the time we were here tied to a tree. I unclip both of there lead ropes. I move closer to them.
"Go get help." I tell them. They seemed to understand because they both all of a sudden became anxious to leave. It was at that moment that I let go of their bridles. They canter off in the same direction that we had came. They better go find help. Their our last hope.

Authors note:
Hope you liked the chapter. I admit that the first lot of chapters weren't great but I think I have improved a little bit in writing. Thanks to the owner of half my series (Jessica) I have so many great things to add into my book and the many more coming.
I'm planning on writing seven books in the series. Iv already planned them out so I hope you will enjoy them. I think I might have like 18 chapters in this book so yeah. I hope you like the rest.
