Jamie stands next to Aisha outside the All Valley Tournament. To say she was nervous would be an understatement. Everyone else around her seemed to be completely calm, aside from Miguel who was quite literally punching the air.

"Yo, Miguel, calm down, man. Save some for the tournament," Hawk tries. Miguel stops for a second to glare at him before continuing.

"Hey, don't even bother. He's been super aggro ever since the breakup." Aisha says

"Well, where's sensei? The tournament's gonna start soon." Hawk says

"He'll be here." Aisha nods

"I don't know about that." Bert says

"What are you talking about?"

"I saw him last night at the mini mall. I was buying-" He hesitates, "A carton of milk when I heard him in the parking lot yelling."

Jamie groans, "Why didn't you tell us this earlier?"

"I don't know. I guess I'm just so used to seeing him drunk it didn't seem like that big a deal." He shrugs

"Well, we're here, and he's not. So it's officially a big deal." Hawk says, "What if something happened to him?"

"Like what?"

"I don't know." Hawk shrugs, "Like he drove his car off a cliff, or he bought a gun and blew his brains out."

As he says this, Miguel finally stops to look over. Aisha shakes her head, "No, sensei would never kill himself. It's too pussy a move."

"Whatever. I mean, we're here. We're gonna have to do it without him." Hawk sighs

"Do what without me?" They look over to see Johnny walking up

"Sensei." Aisha says

"We didn't think you were gonna show up." Hawk says

"I may not always win, but I never back out of a fight."

"Great." Miguel says, "Let's sign up."

Johnny shakes his head. "Not yet. There's one more lesson I have to teach you."

They finally made it in the building where there were hundreds of other students waiting to compete. The teens stand in a circle with Johnny in the middle. Jamie standing in between Aisha and Hawk with Miguel on Hawk's left side.

"You've all learned to strike first, to be aggressive, not be losers." Johnny starts, "I've taught you to strike hard, put every ounce of your power behind everything you do. But I haven't taught you the third rule of Cobra Kai. No mercy. The older you get, the more you're gonna learn that life isn't fair."

"You wake up one morning feeling great, and then life throws a spinning heel kick to your balls. Takes a big steaming shit in your mouth." Johnny says as Jamie grimaces

"You get an F on a test. You get suspended." He continues, "You fall in love with a girl, and some other dude comes and steals her away."

Jamie looks over towards Miguel to see his face scrunched in anger. She sighs softly.

"Your car gets set on fire. Just when you think things are going good, everything falls apart. That's how it goes." He sighs

"Life shows no mercy, so neither do we. We do whatever it takes to keep our heads above water. We do whatever it takes to keep moving forward. We do whatever it takes to win! Remember who you are. You're badass. You don't give a shit. You kick ass. You're Cobra Kai."

"Cobra Kai!" Miguel yells as the other students follow

"All right, guys, let's get down there and kick the shit out of everybody." Johnny says

"Yeah!" Everyone yells. Miguel then starts to pull out his white gi before Johnny stops him.

"No. You're not wearing those." He smiles

Jamie stands behind Aisha in line waiting for the group to be announced. They're dressed in a yellow and black gi with the Cobra Kai emblem on the front left side.

"From Reseda, returning to the tournament, we have." The announcer starts. He's cut off as the group starts jogging out.

"Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai!" They chant as the crowd starts cheering

"Now that's what I call an entrance! And a badass name for a dojo. Let's hear it for Cobra Kai!" The announcer yells

Jamie looks out into the audience. She smiles as she sees her mom and Sienna. They cheer even louder as they get her attention.

"And finally, fighting unaffiliated from North Hills, we have Mr. Robby Keene." Jamie looks over to see the guy Miguel pushed at the bonfire

"All right, folks. Get ready." The announcer says, "It's karate time."

It was now Jamie's turn to compete. She steps on to the mat as the team cheers her on. She takes a deep breath as she looks at the girl she's competing against.

"You got this Jamie!" Miguel yells

"Come on, Jamie." Aisha exclaims

"Face me. Bow." The referee says, "Face each other. Bow. Ready?" The girls get in their fighting positions, "And fight!" He says

The girl looked uncertain as she tried charging at Jamie. She quickly dodged the hit as she took the girls arm and flipped her. As the girl landed on her back, Jamie kicked her in her chest.

"Point!" The referee says. Jamie chuckles as the team cheers.

"Good job, Ms. Jackson. Amazing job!" Johnny yells as he claps

It was now down to the quarterfinals. Jamie, unfortunately, hadn't made it. She watches as Miguel is in the middle of a round. It ends with Miguel scoring a point.

The team cheers as the referee holds his arm up. Jamie smiles as she looks up at Miguel. It then quickly drops as she sees him looking over at Sam.

Jamie stood at the edge of the mat as Hawk and Miguel stood tall with Johnny by their side on the main stage. They were now in the semifinals.

The announcer introduced Miguel and Hawk as the crowd cheered. He then went on to announce Robby who stood hesitantly before bowing.

Lastly, he announced a random kid from another dojo. Jamie cringes as the kid shows off with a back flip before making a speech.

"First up, Stone versus Diaz!" The announcer says, "Let's go!"

"Focus, Diaz!" Johnny yells as the round goes on. Miguel takes him down with a kick to the face. Jamie cheers as the team around her screams in excitement.

"That's 2-1, Diaz." The referee yells

Miguel stands in his position again as the referees starts another round. There's an exchange of kicks and punches that Miguel blocks.

Jamie watches on, "Come on, Miguel!"

The opponent goes for a flashy move as Miguel dodges it. Miguel turns and delivers a kick to his stomach. Jamie jumps as everyone cheers.

"Miguel Diaz is headed to the finals." The announcer says, "Next up, Hawk versus Keene."

Jamie smiles as Miguel steps down from the stage. He gives a smile in return.

It was a couple minutes into Hawk vs. Robby. The boys stood in each others faces before Robby turned to return to his spot.

Hawk charged at him and kicked him in his shoulder causing in him to fall in pain. The referee quickly pushes him back.

"That's enough! Illegal contact. You're disqualified." He yells

"Bullshit!" Hawk yells

Johnny runs up to check on Robby before being waved away. Jamie frowns as she looks at Hawk.

"What the fuck is your problem?" She exclaims. He rolls his eyes ignoring her as Miguel pushes him.

"With that disqualification, Keene earns a trip to the finals. We'll see him back here after a short break." The announcer says

"This is it, folks. The moment we've all been waiting for. The final match to determine who will be victor and champion." The announcer yells

"Will it be Miguel Diaz from Cobra Kai Karate?" The crowd cheers, "Will it be Robby Keene, unaffili-" He's cut off by a woman walking up.

"Daniel LaRusso's gonna coach?" Jamie's eyebrows rise, "Daniel LaRusso is gonna coach!" He exclaims

"I'm sorry, folks, there's been a change. Robby Keene will now be fighting for Miyagi-Do Karate with former champion Daniel LaRusso as his sensei!" The crowd cheers louder

"How about that? Good luck, gentlemen." He says before jogging off

Miguel then walks over to the middle of the mat as Johnny stands off to the side with the rest of the team.

The boys start off blocking each others kicks and punches. Miguel maintaining offense as Robby successfully dodges him. The round ends with Robby delivering a kick to Miguel's stomach causing him to fall.

"And stop! Point!"

"Keene and Miyagi-Do get the first point." The announcer says

The boys start again with Robby on offense this time. Miguel ducks and kicks at Robby's bad shoulder before punching him in his stomach causing Robby to fall back.

"Stop! One point."

"Yeah!" The team cheers

"Diaz and Cobra Kai with the point. Now it's 1-1."

Jamie's hands cover her face as she rubs at her eyes before she lets her hands fall to her side.

"Ready?" The referee says as the boys get in position. Robby clearly was in pain. "And...fight!"

They start again with Miguel back on offense. He elbows Robby's arm causing the boy to groan. Miguel sweeps his leg and punches his stomach again earning a point.

"Point!"

"That makes it two points for Diaz."

Daniel stands up on the stage, "Time! Time!"

Miguel frowns, "Time?"

The referee tries pushing Miguel to his side. Miguel sits on the edge of the stage and nods at Johnny who sits with an uneasy look on his face. He then turns to Jamie expecting encouragement, but instead gets a light scowl in return.

Miguel looks confused before the referee calls him back up. The boys get in position as Robby favors his hurt arm.

"And fight!"

Miguel kicks at Robby who blocks him. Robby continues fighting with one arm as Miguel charges at him. He pushes Miguel who lands out of bounds.

"Stop! Out of bounds. Out of bounds. No point. Out of bounds." The referee says as he leads Miguel back to his side

The boys get into position again as the referee starts the match up. Miguel throws a punch at Robby and he dodges it. Miguel then pushes at Robby's shoulder causing him to fall. As he's down, Miguel kicks at his shoulder making him fall back. He stomps at his shoulder and luckily, Robby rolls out of the way.

Robby uses his good arm to hold himself up and kicks Miguel in his chest. Robby earned his second point. Robby stands up and walks over to Miguel to help him up. Instead, Miguel pulls at his bad arm. Robby groans again as he falls to the ground.

"Miguel, what the hell?" Jamie yells as Hawk looks over at her

The crowd boos him as the boys go back to their corner. Johnny goes to talk to Miguel. Jamie huffs as Miguel goes back to the middle of the mat

"Whoever wins the next point will be our new champion!" The announcer says as the crowd cheers

"It's 2-2. Next point wins." The referee says

Miguel goes for punches as Robby dodged them. Robby kicked at Miguel's back as he stumbles. He quickly recovers before Robby kicks at his shoulder, but Miguel stops him. He then returns the kick to his arm and then kicked his stomach.

Miguel won the tournament.

Jamie gasped as the team started screaming. Miguel's arm is held up as the crowd cheered. The team runs up to Miguel to congratulate him.

Miguel is handed a microphone, "I just want to say that if it wasn't for my Sensei, I wouldn't be here, so this is for Sensei Johnny Lawrence and Cobra Kai!" The team cheers as they start their chant again.

Jamie claps as the team celebrates. Miguel looks over to Jamie and smiles. He pulls her in for a side hug as he holds the trophy up high. Her eyes widen and heart almost leaps out of her chest before he lets go to celebrate with everyone else.

Jamie walked around as the event ended. She spotted Miguel talking to Demetri before he walked off. She walked up to him, "Congratulations."

Miguel turned, "Thanks. You did really good too."

"You don't have to lie. I didn't even make it to the quarterfinals." She chuckles

He smiles, "Maybe not, but you still did really well. I'm happy you decided to join."

"Me too." She says. Her smile falters slightly as they hold eye contact. It's quickly broken as a random person comes up to congratulate Miguel. Jamie looks down and shakes her head, "Well, I'm gonna get going. I've gotta find Sienna."

"Yeah, yeah. Uh, I'll see you later." He nods

"Bye." She smiles before walking off to find her best friend.
