Chapter 30

"Ridge! It's not what you think!" Brooke exclaims.

"Oh Honey Bear, how could you?" Donna cries.

Ridge is still in pure shock, he can't believe Brooke would do this to him. Or his father, "Not what I think? I just walked in on you sleeping with my father! How is it not what I think."

"Ridge, don't talk to Brooke like this. This is not her fault. If you would just stop leaving her then this would not have happened."

"Your blaming this on me! I was concerned about Bill or Deacon. But I never thought I'd have to worry about my own father."

Eric looks like a scolded child at this point. Ridge looks back to Brooke, "We're done for good." He turns to leave.

"Ridge NO!" Brooke cries, "We're destiny!"

Ridge stops in his tracks, "Destiny? DESTINY?! You are no longer my destiny, I never want to see you again." Ridge looks back at his father, "She's YOUR destiny now." Ridge walks out the door.

Ridge begins driving, he doesn't know where he is going to go but he just has to get as far away from his father's house as possible.

Meanwhile at Taylor's, her and Brandon are having a romantic evening. Candles are lit, smooth jazz is softly playing in the background, Taylor and Brandon hold each other close as they passionately kiss.

"I'm so happy to have found you," Brandon says between kisses.

"I love you so much Brandon," Taylor responds, "Thank you for showing me how I should have been treated all these years."

Before they can kiss again there is a knock at the door. Taylor looking frustrated walks over and opens the door to see a deshevled Ridge, "Hey Doc." He says walking in uninvited, "You'll never believe what I just walked into." Ridge finally starting to realize he interrupted a date, "I'm sorry, am I interrupting?"

"Yeah you are." Taylor says sturnly, "Please leave."

"But don't you want to know who I caught Brooke with?"

Taylor is intrigued but she wants to make sure she sets clear boundaries with Ridge and make it crystal clear that he cannot just come to her house whenever he wants to, "No, I really don't care Ridge. Go talk to your father about it."

"That's just it Taylor, I caught Brooke sleeping with MY FATHER!"

Brandon's eyes widen, Taylor turns to look at him with an equally shocked expression. Brandon can't help but be a little grateful that Ridge spilled the tea. "I'm sorry this happened to you Ridge, but I still need for you to leave. I'm in the middle of a date and I'd like to get back to it."

Ridge seems stunned by Taylor wanting him to leave, "But Doc, I figured you and I can talk. Maybe take a stroll down memory lane." He says with a seductive smile.

Taylor, looking even more irritated nods her head, "Ok, a trip down memory lane. How about the time you married Brooke so quickly after you thought I had died. How about leaving me at the alter, or all the times she has done this and you keep going back to her after telling me you want me and you feel foolish for falling for her again." Brandon was wondering if he should step in, but he sees Taylor has it under control, he can't help but think how attractive she is right now. Taylor continues, "I'm done with this back and forth Ridge, I'm taking a page from our daughter's book and removing myself from this merry-go-round. You can take your ego and your sob story and find someone else who wants to hear it." Taylor turns back to Brandon as Ridge looks like a wounded animal. He tucks his tail between his legs and walks out the door.

Taylor wraps her arms around Brandon's neck and smiles, "Now where were we."
