Chapter 4: Force And Fortune II

In the later stages of the morning, sitting at the dining table were Revan and Ahsoka. They were forced to eat cold meals seeing as both D-5cn and Sigil were missing and they both had no idea where they kept fresh supplies.

"Where do you think they went?" Revan asked. "I saw them head towards Taleucema after we were done training." She simply replied. Accepting the answer, Revan continued to eat. "Wait, what about your vision? What happened last night?" Ahsoka remembered. "Well i did have it again but with me knowing more about it, i have managed to come to small terms with it. Knowing it is a hit or miss. I'm better off ignoring it." She stated with a weird mixture of fear, sadness, hate and anger plastered across her face.

"Be wary of your emotions, Revan." Ahsoka cautioned. "They will lead you down the dark path. From which returning isn't possible. Quote "Once you go down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will."." She finished.

"You sound like an old hermit." Revan said with a grin on her face. "Well what i told you was what grandmaster Yoda always warned of." She replied. "Still doesn't make sense." Revan contradicted. "It will when you mature." Ahsoka said. "I'm sure it will." Revan said sarcastically.

She reminded Ahsoka of Anakin. If Anakin was a young girl that is. Remembering all the weird situations he got them in, made her sigh. "Something wrong?" Revan asked. "No. You just remind me of somebody." She replied.

The sound of a door opening however caught their attention. "I guess they must be back." Ahsoka stated. "Oh i don't think so." Revan said. "Why would you think that?" Ahsoka asked, amused. "It didn't come from the front of the ship but the port side." Revan said, rushing towards the source of the sound, Ahsoka right on her tail. Reaching close to the source of the noise, Revan drew out her pistol.

Leeking the corner she yelled "Freeze!". "Hey, it's me!" Sigil yelled back. "Oh it's just you." Revan said with a grin before noticing that he was wearing a medical coat and had several bacta patches over his leg. "What happened?" She demanded, placing her hands on her hips. "Oh you know just a nexu and the incompetent idiot known as, Rako Hardeen." He replied.

Ahsoka froze at the mention of the name Rako Hardeen. It brought back memories; memories of despair and betrayal; one of the many experiences that contributed to her leaving the Jedi order. "You alright?" Sigil asked, making Revan turn around to see Ahsoka's face. "Yeah i'm fine. Hardeen just brings back lots of bad memories." She said bitterly.

"Oh i'm sorry." Sigil said. "It's not your fault. You couldn't have known." Ahsoka said, dismissing his apology. "Where is 5cn?" Revan asked. "You will find out later." He said, walking off towards his own quarters.

Changing into a more casual outfit, Sigil headed to the armory. Opening the door to it, he examined his options, he would have to board a republic cruiser on his own, wearing heavy void combat armor. Going through it he picked out a shield generator and a Z-6 rotary blaster. and set them next to suit.

Their next lesson with Ahsoka, was still about understanding the force and centered around meditation but unlike yesterday, today's lesson still contained some training in telekinesis. After centering themselves in the force, they listened to Ahsoka's voice subconsciously as she instructed on what they should do and what they should be looking for. "Focus on the life force of living beings." She said a couple of times before they all sat in silence for hours.

Ahsoka opened her eyes and looked at the sun. It was approaching the horizon. "Okay you two get up." She announced. "What for?" Revan asked. "Telekinesis. The manipulation of objects through one's mind and the force." She explained. "Now for this lesson, reach out with your hand towards an object and feel its weight in the force. Don't be intimidated by its size. Size doesn't matter only in your the object is big." She said, levitating her hand towards a pebble she lifted off the ground with ease leaving Revan stunned and Sigil unfazed as he had encountered Jedi before.

"Now do it." She commanded. They both focused on nearby pebbles and it took them some time but they both managed to lift the rock off the ground. As they succeeded, Ahsoka instructed them to lift larger and larger objects until they both struggled and eventually Revan couldn't lift a human sized rock and Sigil couldn't lift a rock the size of a small ship.

Following the lessons, Sigil walked over and hugged Revan while saying "I might be gone for a day or two.Okay?". "To where? The ship is still here." She asked. "A crew job." He simply said before walking into the ship and grabbing his equipment, hiding it under a cloak. Before departing, he said "See you both soon." He said waving goodbye. "See you." They both said waving goodbye as he left swiftly went to his armory, dawning his equipment of choice and hiding it under a cloak he headed back to Taleucema.

Meeting up with his fellow hunters at the space port, they were all gathered next to an old YT-1300 class light freighter. The fighters parked around the freighter. "Ah here you are, let us get going." Bossk said. Boarding the freighter, they all took their seats.

"Control tower, requesting authorization for take off." He said into the com channel.". Several seconds later the reply came back "YT-1300 you are cleared for take off.". Taking off from the space port, he flew the ship outside of the atmosphere and into the void of space before charting course for the asteroid field in the Roche system. "Estimated arrival time 0350." He announced. Before leaning in his chair and taking a short nap.

The beeping of the ship's computer, indicated their exit from hyperspace. Waking Sigil up. He quickly made the necessary preparations as they exited hyper space. Standing up, he moved to the boarding ramp and yelling "Open up!". The door quickly flew open sucking him out the ship but the door quickly shut behind him.

Using the thrusters on his suit, he guided himself back to the hull of the ship and latched on to it. The ships intern moved and landed on a nearby asteroid.

3 hours passed by with no signal on the hyperspace radar. "Are you sure we got the right intel?" Boba fett asked, clearly frustrated. "Patience. Not every meal is prepared." Bossk scolded. "Signal has been detected on radar. No two signals." IG-88 stated over the shared com channel.

"Everybody on standby." Bane said. Shortly after, an Arquitens jumped out of hyperspace and seconds after that, a Gozanti jumped out of hyperspace as well. "Okay now everybody stick to the plan. Droids follow me." Ventress ordered. "There is my call." Sigil said, detaching from the freighter. After seeing Sigil fly clear of the ship, Cad Bane started the ship and took off from the asteroid.

"Sir, our scanners have picked out 5 electronic signals. They are closing in fast." An officer aboard the Arquitens said. "Pirates." The captain said with disgust in his voice. "Scramble fighters and inform gunners." The Captain ordered.

"Me and my men will board the Gozanti." the Jedi master said before departing for the hangar bay. "Sir the enemy formation is made of 3 fighters, one freighter and one void equipped combatant." An AA officer reported into the comm. "Report trajectory." The captain ordered.

"Fighters as well as the freighter, are headed to the Gozanti but the one wearing void armor is headed for us." The AA officer reported. "Put me through the gunnery officer. "Yes captain?" The gunarry officer asked. "Void equipped hostile inbound. Focus the AA on them." The captain ordered. "Copy that." The gunnary officer said through his com before relaying the order to his AA batteries.

Weaving and maneuvering through the fire, Sigil got closer to the part of the ship where he would be closest to the Jedi's quarters. As the fighters were leaving, he opened fire on the departing fighters and shuttles; damaging one fighter and both shuttles. Knocking them out of the engagement. Once on the surface, he quickly set up explosive charges on the hull and took cover behind a turbolaser turret.

Seconds later, an explosion rocked the ship. A tear in the ship's hull sent nearby personnel into space. He quickly flew inside the ship and made his way to the pressurized sections of the ship.

Activating his deflector shield and raising his blaster, he ran as fast as he could. Gunning down onboard troopers who stood in his way under the protection of his shield until he reached the door from his vision. Blasting open, he saw the crate inside.

Rushing forward. He grabbed it and was about to head out until a voice stopped him. "Drop the crate." Demanded a trooper. Upon getting a better look, he saw that it was an arc trooper as well as 5 standard troopers in the blown out door frame, waiting for him. Activating his jetpack, he rammed them with the crate; crushing between the crate and the wall.

"Where are you and why is that ship still shooting at us?!" Ventress shouted over her com. "I'm on it!" He shouted back. Using his jetpack, Sigil flew across the halls of the ship until reaching the reactor. Blowing his way inside with an explosive charge, he was confronted by a dozen or so clone troopers. In response, he tossed an ion charge inside accompanied by a thermal detonator and flew away.

Second later, more explosions rocked the Arquitens and the light went out. "Reactor crew report!" He yelled into his com. "Reactor crew report!" He shouted again.

"Sir the reactor has been blown up by the saboteur but we still have emergency power." One of the bridge officers reported. "Send out an emergency signal." The captain ordered. "On it." The communications officer said.

"Escort knocked out." Sigil yelled over the com. "Good make your way to the freighter and power it up." Bane ordered over the sound of blasters. "On it." He said flying out of the same hole he made and flew towards the Gozanti who was ahead.

Punching in his code, the boarding ramp opened and he made his way inside. Sealing the ramp behind him and dropping the crate, he ran towards the cockpit and started up the ship. "Ready when you are." He said over his com. "We got the cargo." Boba announced.

"Good. It's only a matter of time before a relief force arrives." He stated. "Hearing the docking hatch door open and close he yelled "Everybody onboard?". "Yes, now go." Came the reply from Bane. He quickly went about undocking from the cruiser before yelling over his comlink "Fighters cargo is secure i repeat cargo is secure.". "Man those guns Bane yelled to Fett and Bossk before running to the cockpit and sitting in the copilot chair.

"Make necessary calculations for the jump." Bane said to the astromech unit they had onboard. The droid beeped in compliance, getting to work on calibrating the hyperdrive. As a beep signaled the calibrations of the hyperdrive being complete, he pulled the lever jumping to hyperspace.

As soon as they were in hyperspace, Sigil leaned in his chair and sighed. A low sigh escaped Cad Bane's lips as he also relaxed in his chair. After a few seconds, they both got up and made their way to the docking port where the credits were.

"Hey! What is this?" Boba demanded as he pushed a crate in front of him. "Care to explain?" Bossk said. "This wasn't part of the job and i took it personally. But if you are curious, it has antiques." He said. "What kind of antiques?" Bane asked. "Jedi antiques." He replied simply. Why would i belive you?" Boba questioned opening the carte.

Inside was a glowing red pyramid, black robes and a mask. "What the-" Boba tried to say before being thrown into the wall by Sigil. "Listen here kid." He said lifting Fett off the ground by his neck. "I'm sick of your attitude. I took this personally. Your father may have hesitated to discipline you but i won't if you touch my belongings one more time." He said.

The blue soulless lenses of his skull helmet, burning a hole straight through Boba's soul making him gulp in fear. "I think he got the message." Bossk said trying to de-escalate the situation. Sigil finally let go of Boba and dropped to the floor. Boba quickly got up, anger still visible in his eyes but now he knew not to act upon it.

Sigil made his way over to the box and started using the built in plasma cutter in his forearm gauntlet. After about a minute, the safe's door fell forwards; revealing 6 suitcases filled with credits. "15 suitcases filled with about credits each, divided by 7 is around 2 suitcases of credits per person and one is split amongst us." Bane said out loud, doing the math in his head.

"Good." Bossk said, licking his lips. "Quite a handsome reward." Sigil commented. "Well gentlemen that is quite the payday." Bane said. "But we'll have to wait until we land back in the Tale Ucema.

Once back on Saleucami, the pilots rejoined the rest onboard the freighter. "Well how do we go about this?" Ventress asked. "Bossk in response threw 2 suitcases at her. "Like this." The Trandoshan said. "Wait he forgot this." Bane said, throwing a pouch on top of it. "What is that for?" She questioned. "There were 15 suitcases. Each one gets 2 plus some." Bane replied. "Well lads it was pleasure working with you but i will be on my way." Sigil said. "5cn grab both mine and your cuts." He ordered before heading to the far side of the ship.

Reaching it, he lifted the crate and put it over his shoulder. Reaching the outside, he saw that 5cn was waiting for him. "Off we go." He said.
