Chapter 1: A Forunate Encounter

' "You don't know the extent of the dark side's power, young one. Bow before me and pledge yourself to my teachings else your dear brother, dies" the voice said before uttering another breath. "Don't liste...eh" Sigil tried to say before being lifted into the air; gasping for air as if choking. Desperately he tried to signal me to run with whatever he could; waving his head, signaling with his eyes or pointing away with his feet. Only for everything to be engulfed in a brilliant light.'

"SIGIL!!" The familiar scream echoed through the ship. The scream was followed by cries and sobs. Sigil climbed down from his bunk to comfort the weeping child. "Same thing?" He replied softly as he was wiping away the tears. "Ye...ye...yes" came a shaky reply. "Shhh 'Revan', shhh it will be okay. Nothing bad is going to happen, I'm here." He said, pulling her into his embrace. She finally quited after what felt like hours. "Si...Sigil, w...why does this keep happening every night" Revan finally spoke up, her voice shaking from all the crying and she was visibly stuttering.

Sigil pulled her a little closer, stroking her hair and running his finger through it; "I don't know Revan. But at this rate, it requires some kind of investigation." He replied. "An investigation?" She asked him; the stutter in her voice fading. "Yes, maybe in the morning, i'll have 5cn take you to the library to find out information" he said in a warm tone. "Sounds good enough." she replied. "But can you sleep with me? I'm still scared to sleep alone." She added. "Revan, you're getting kind off... nevermind fine" he told her reassuringly knowing that societal norms could kriff themselves because she needed him more.

Morning came quicker than expected on the planet of 'Triothe' and as the sun shone through the cabin of the void dragon, it woke up its inhabitants. Sigil was quick to wake up; noticing that Revan was getting up slowly. He gently and slowly pushed himself up and away from her to go about his day. He headed to the refresher first before making his way to the kitchen, sitting down as his droid D-5cn put the food on his table. "Morning master Sigil." The droid said, putting a plate in front of him.

"Morning 5cn." He said, a hint of sleep still present in his voice. "5cn." He said. "Yes master Sigil?" The droid asked, confused."Make me some tea will you?" He told the droid. "It will be my pleasure" the droid told him. "Did mistress Revan.." the droid started to speak. "Yes she had the same nightmare again." He said cutting the droid off.

Revan got up feeling cold. She looked around to see her blanket on the floor. She didn't doubt that Sigil knocked it away as he got up. Revan headed to the refresher before going to the kitchen. "Morning." she said, rubbing her eyes. "Morning." She heard her brother say holding a cup of tea in his hand. "Good morning mistress Revan" 5cn said, bringing her a plate of food as well. "Thank you." she said. "No problem." 5cn said. "Revan." Sigil spoke up, breaking the silence. "Yes?" She looked at him questioningly; probably knowing what he was about to say. "You should get ready. If you remember, 5cn will take you to the library of the grand university of 'Triothe'." He said. "Oh yeah i remember." She said a hint of uncertainty in her voice. "Wait you won't be coming?" She questioned. "I'm afraid not Rev. I have to look for a new bounty." He replied. He had to look away as the expression on her face turned sour.

As he saw Revan and 5cn walk off into the distance, he started his training. Practicing with throwing vibro darts until 5cn returned. He spent a long time practicing his throws, the more he practiced the more he zoomed out and less focused on his surroundings he became. "Master Sigil? Master Sigil? Master Sigil!?" He was broken out of his trans by his droid. "What is it?" He asked, stumbling on his own words. "You seemed to have zoomed out. Are you alright?" The droid asked. "I'm just concerned for her." He said. "Now come on, let's go back inside." Sigil finished.

Quite some time had passed as Sigil was now seated in the captain's chair of his ship 'The Void Dragon'. He, however, was still zooming out. He is caught off guard by the beeping of his holo projector indicating a call. 'Huh?! Who could this be?' he thought to himself as he moved to answer the call. A hooded figure came into view. "Lord Sidious. To what I owe, such a fortune." He said in a professional tone. "Nothing but a humble request. A jedi." The dark lord replied. "Hardly the challenge my lord." Came an eager yet calm and collected response.

"Oh it's not what you think." Sidious told him grinning on the inside, upon wiping the smile off his face. "I need her alive. But you must first break her. Don't deliver her until she has yellow eyes. Then bring her to these coordinates. As well as the coordinates, I will transmit the necessary details of this job. You will receive payment upon completion." He finished. "Consider it done." He replied smugly. "Do not fail me mr.Trail." He ended coldly before the hunter could respond.

"Master Sigil!" A robotic voice came from the entrance of the cockpit. Sigil turned around to the sight of 'D-5cn'. "What is it?" He questioned the droid. "There seems to be an intruder inside the ship." The droid whispered. "Size?" He questioned further in a quiet voice. "The size of the average humanoid." Was the reply he heard. 'This is either a thug or a refugee.' He sighed before touching a few buttons on the center console. He headed outside the ship, 5cn on his heel; locking the ship as he went.

"Why did you leave the intruder in the ship master Sigil?" The droid asked curiously. "To lure out said intruder." He answered. "But they will just loot the ship or just steal it." The droid answered in a monotone voice but he could tell that the droid was annoyed; "do not worry i froze the center console and when i get alerted of movement inside the ship, i will simply release the gas." He replied smugly. "Then why did we go this far?" The droid questioned further, seeking answers. "To pick up Revan from the library; normally i would send you alone but now, i need to give the intruder a false sense of security." He replied, his voice low. The droid noded, its thirst for answers seemingly quenched." I just hope that that scum is cold out before we get back." He finished.

At the bottom of the grand staircase leading to the library of Triothe grand university, sat a little girl staring into the distance, thinking to herself. She was brought back to reality by a hand ruffling her hair, "Sigil! Stop it!" She demanded in an annoyed tone as she batted his hand away. "I'm just messing with you." He replied jokingly. "By the way hello." He said in a warmer and more welcoming tone. She sighed before responding "Hello Sigil. Hello 5cn" she said before standing up. "You found anything useful?" He asked.

"Yes, I did" she replied somewhat happy. "Tell me." He said. "Well the only thing i found is that such repeating dreams with vivid details, are called 'force visions'. Preaminitions from the force of a possible future." She said, beginning to sob as the last part escaped her lips.

Sigil knelt down to her height before pulling her into a tight embrace as a way to reassure her. "I didn't die in your vision did i?" He asked softly. "No, but you were suspended in the air and clutching your throat before a flash of light filled my view." She said stuttering. "So there is still hope." He told her reassuringly as he got back up. "You know what Revan?" He said looking down at her. "What is it?" She asked quietly. "Today is a very good day and it's time for lunch, so what about we go out for food?" He asked with a big grin on his face. "Yes please!" She replied, her mood beginning to brighten; causing him to ruffle her hair, earning a few giggles from her.

As the trio were walking to a restaurant, his wrist com, beeped indicating attempted hijacking; without hesitation he pressed the button which released the sleeping agent, into the ship. Turning to his droid, he said "hey 5cn, you know i forgot to bring my to charge my wrist com. Will you fetch my backup powercell from the ship?". "Of Course master Sigil." The droid replied knowing what his master meant, and swiftly headed off.

As the droid walked off, he turned around and asked her "Sooo Revan, how was your day so far?". "Umm let me think...." She said. "Take your time" he told his younger sister. "Oh yeah! Did you know that Twi'leks could communicate with their lekku without talking?!" She questioned him excitedly. "No. Certainly not." He said while making a mental note to keep this information in mind. She kept on mumbling about all the stuff she had just learned and focused on her words; keeping important bits in mind until they reached a restaurant and sat down.

They sat down at a table and checked the menu before a waiter came over and asked them what they would like. "What can i get you?" He asked. "I will take the puffer pig bites." Revan said. "I'll take the same but with buns." He told the waiter. "Drinks?" The waiter asked. "No thanks." Sigil told him. "Very well i will bring it when it's done." The waiter finished. "Thank you." Revan told him. "You're welcome." He told them both before heading off.

They sat in silence enjoying the food. After they were both finished, he said "I will go pay. You stay here alright?". "Sure thing." She told him; a hint of sleepiness in her voice. As he went back out after paying, he saw that she had already fallen asleep in her chair. He sighed knowing he will have to carry her to the ship. He then slowly put her over his shoulder before bringing up his vambrace to his face "5cn report." He said to his com.

"The intruder was a Togrutan female. 17 years old by galactic standard. With an ID that reads 'Ahsoka Tano'. I believe she is our target." D-5cn reported back. "Carbon freeze her." He ordered. "We are out of carbonite." The droid told him. "Fine, put her in the energy containment field" he ordered again. "Yes master." It replied. The hunt is over before it even started. He thought to himself.
