Seven

Kevin sucked on a lollipop as he watched the numerous CCTV monitors on his screen. His eyes flickered from screen to screen as Chanhee and Sangyeon entered the bank. They had already walked through the first and second security gates. Now, they just needed to act well to be convincing to the bankers.

He didn't need to worry about that. Though it wasn't usually Chanhee who went on these kind of missions, they needed someone like him or Changmin to move the goods. The car backdoor slid open to let Hyunjae in. He was the designated driver now.

"How's it going?" Hyunjae asked as he sat down next to Kevin.

"Fine for now. Though I think that woman has her eyes on Sangyeon." Kevin chuckled, pointing at the banker.

Hyunjae chuckled along until he noticed Chanhee's arms wrapped around Sangyeon's waist and him leaning against his shoulder. He frowned and turned to Kevin who pretended to be oblivious.

"Chanhee's acting as the spoiled younger brother, you know." Kevin said.

"I thought the spoiled younger brother was supposed to hate the older."

"Apparently not." Kevin shrugged.

Hyunjae's eyes were trained on Chanhee's hand movements. The two were talking with a few employees there. Then, Sangyeon said something which made the rest burst out into laughter, including Chanhee. Sangyeon smiled at him and ruffled up his hair. Chanhee was still laughing and buried his head in Sangyeon's chest.

Kevin slowly glanced at Hyunjae's side profile which showed his jaw clenching hard. He could see the veins on Hyunjae's fist literally popping out in anger. He gulped and turned back to the screen. He scooted a bit further from Hyunjae cause he could literally feel the anger heat radiating off the guy.

Finally, Sangyeon and Chanhee had gotten into the vault. The bankers left them alone for privacy and that's when Kevin's part starts. He hacked into the building system and crashed it. Kevin had this enthusiastic crazed look on as he excitedly moves his fingers to work. His maniacal chuckles were a bonus.

Now it was Hyunjae's turn to scoot away. He got used to this Kevin but that doesn't mean it doesn't scare him. He moved to the front seat to get ready for the get away.

Once the power came on again, the bankers hurriedly enters the vault to check. But only Sangyeon was left in the vault. He was laying on the ground, groaning in pain as he clutched his head. The bankers helped him up and apologized profusely.

Accordingly to plan, Sangyeon got mad at the bankers and went bonkers on how the security was shit and now his brother had ran away with his money. The bankers looked very timid with how Sangyeon was acting furious, shoving his hands at them and around.

Kevin was impressed with his acting. He nodded as Sangyeon walked out of the vault and was led back to the reception area. He turned on the microphone and tapped on it.

"Chanhee, how's the situation?" Kevin spoke.

A slight buzz sounded from the mike. Then, Chanhee spoke.

"Tell me. Did you know or not know that shafts here go up and not down to the exit we planned on?"

"......Yes?"

"Fuck you."

Chanhee looked up at the shaft. He blew away his bangs and strapped the painting secure around his body. He put on his gloves that had specialized suction cups on the tip. Then, he carefully climbed up the shaft with sheer arm power. His feet did nothing much to stabalize him.

After a few more efforts, Chanhee arrived at the final corner to the exit. Just when he was about to slid out, a buzzing sound came in through his ear piece.

"Chanhee, stop wherever you are." Kevin spoke.

But it was a tad too late. Chanhee had already emerged out from the shaft and stood up. Chanhee let out a lifeless chuckle as he snapped his neck.

"Care to explain?" He hissed into his earpiece.

"I was about to." Kevin replied sheepishly.

Then he cut off the communications. Chanhee cursed him mentally. Chanhee looked around him with a deadly glint. With quick calculations, there were seven bodyguards around him and, possibly around a dozen security guards outside the room behind the door.

"There's two dozen outside." Kevin spoke.

Great, Chanhee thought. He was originally supposed to change his clothes and appearance in this empty room which worked as a store room for extra furniture and slip out of the building through the back alleyways. But turns out, the bank had taken swift action.

Sangyeon stood at the door with a smug look masking his worried one. Chanhee rolled his eyes and shoved his hands into his pockets lazily.

"What? My dear brother can't let me have this much? How petty." Chanhee spat.

"I have given you enough." Sangyeon growled.

He shifted his eyes towards the balcony. Chanhee noticed. He took a step forward as Sangyeon did as well. Their glares almost piercing through each other.

"Sir, I think-"

"I think I know what to do." Sangyeon snapped at the banker.

At that moment, Chanhee kicked at a stack of chairs beside him making it topple over Sangyeon. He quickly grabbed one of the chair legs and flung it around at the bodyguards while the employees were busy helping Sangyeon up.

Chanhee moved swiftly and tackled down the bodyguards one by one. A group fight wasn't unfamiliar. It came with the job and sort of became his lifestyle. Chanhee let out a yelp as one of the men hit him from behind, making him slump down. He gritted his teeth and spun around, kicking away at the man in the process.

He jumped up onto his feet and whacked the men on their neck. Another thing Chanhee did was that he never really relished in killing unlike Changmin. This was one of the reasons why Changmin wasn't recommended to come along these 'domestic' missions.

He threw a brief glance at Sangyeon who nodded back. Then Chanhee started swinging the chairs around, making a mess. He swiped some of the bigger wooden fragments towards Sangyeon and ran towards the balcony.

With a quirk of his lips, Sangyeon pushed away the employees and ran towards him, grabbing some of the big wooden fragments on the way. The realization finally dawned upon the employees and they hurriedly let the security guards from outside come in. Sangyeon jumped up onto the balcony railing and turned around. Chanhee was right behind him.

Sangyeon threw the wood pieces in the air. Chanhee jumped and made a twirl midair, kicking at the pieces which went flying towards the security guards. Without looking back at the casualty, Chanhee grabbed Sangyeon's hand and jumped away from the balcony.

They tumbled down the roof garden on the lower floor. Chanhee made a stable landing and glanced at Sangyeon who was already up and looking over the side of the building. They glanced up at the guards who were making a detour to come down to their floor.

"Change of plans." Sangyeon said into the earpiece, "Go around the building to corner B."

"Roger that." Hyunjae replied.

Sangyeon jerked his head to the side, signaling Chanhee to follow him. The two climbed over the railing and crept along the building wall. The frame underneath their feet was barely enough to slid by. Sangyeon almost slipped up before they reached the other side. Chanhee quickly jumped over to safety while Sangyeon hang onto his leg. Chanhee grunted as he pulled Sangyeon up to the floor with all his might.

Once they landed safely, the door beside them burst open to reveal the guards after them. Sangyeon cursed under his breath and the two ran again. For now, they were on the lower floors, so they jumped away to the building next door.

"Another change of plans! Just drive off to the end of the road." Sangyeon said into the earpiece as they ran.

"And you better be there cause I'm not breaking my neck jumping onto the road from four floors up!" Chanhee snapped.

The two kept running and jumping over roofs and building tops. Chanhee glanced back. Some of the trained bodyguards were hot on their tail, never giving them a break.

"We're in position." Kevin spoke.

"You better." Chanhee gritted.

Right after he said that, Chanhee was tackled down onto the rooftop. Sangyeon turned aroud when he heard Chanhee grunt. His eyes widened when he saw Chanhee up against two bodyguards and there were three others behind.

He looked around and grabbed a bundle of rope on the roof he was on. He quickly made a big knot and stood up. Swinging it with all his might, he hurled it at the guys ganging up on Chanhee. Sangyeon kept working with his rope. Chanhee took the opportunity to make his escape.

Unfortunately, a bodyguard caught Chanhee's foot. Chanhee kicked him away but now his jump was disturbed and he barely caught on the edge of the building. Chanhee's fingers clamped up on the concrete edge and it was starting to get slippery. Before Sangyeon could get to him, Chanhee's hands slipped off.

"Chanhee!" Sangyeon screamed as he reached out for his hands.

Chanhee panicked as he felt his body fall down. He turned around and braced himself for the impact.

Thud! Bam!

The members were already waiting inside the meeting room with the exception of Chan when Jeongin and Felix walked in. Seungmin was on his laptop and the projector showed the pictures of the four attackers captured by the shop cameras.

"You sure it's Haknyeon you saw?" Hyunjin asked.

"Positive." Seungmin replied, looking up at Jeongin and Felix for confirmation.

"Well then. That's one guy off the list." Han commented.

The door swung open to reveal Chan with his usual briefcase and an extra shopping bag. Changbin scooted his chair to the side for Chan to stand by the meeting table. He put down his briefcase and the shopping bag. Minho scrunched up his nose at the familiar perfume scent. He glanced at Chan and sniffed him up. Chan flinched.

"It's not from you..." Minho continued sniffing the air and his sensitive nose led him to the shopping bag. He peeked inside to see a neatly folded up shirt.

"Just like a cat." Han whispered to Seungmin.

"Don't you mean a dog?" Seungmin whispered back.

"Nah, the way he moves his head looks like a cat."

Seungmin nodded in agreement. Minho took out the shirt and shoved it in front of Chan for an explanation. Chan took the shirt and pressed out the creases gently.

"Someone dirtied my shirt and they returned it. What's the matter?"

"It kinda smells familiar. The perfume..." Minho said with a thoughtful look.

He was sure he had smelt the perfume before but he couldn't pinpoint where. Chan frowned. He knew Minho was sensitive to smells. He shook his head and put the shirt back in. He looked up at the projector at that moment and paused when he saw the picture of Chanhee on the projector.

"Why is he here?" Chan questioned, pointing at Chanhee.

"Him? He was one of the guys we fought." Changbin replied.

"Ah-ha! That's it. It's him! That perfume is his!" Minho exclaimed, pointing back and forth at the shirt and Chanhee's picture.

Chan stared at the picture then at his shirt in disbelief. The rest of the members noticed his expression change. Han was first to question it.

"Hyung, is everything alright?"

"You said the three kids met Haknyeon at school?"

"Yeah. Jeongin will be working on a project with his friend."

"Well, then there's only two left to find."

"Huh?"

"Don't tell me that guy is the one who...." Changbin pointed at the shirt.

The members followed his finger, staring at the shirt then back at Chan. Chan nodded, expression hardening into a serious one as he looked at Chanhee. Seungmin hesitantly checked off Chanhee's picture while gauging Chan's mood.

"Hyung, do you have contact with him?" Minho asked.

Chan nodded, whipping out his phone. He paused as he stared at the contact. He reluctantly handed the phone to Felix who handed it to Seungmin. The boy immediately entered the number into his database and went on to pinpoint the phone's location.

"As expected." Hyunjin said with not much disappointment.

The number was untraceable like something was blocking Seungmin's way. They knew they were dealing with an organized gang so they should expect this much.

"I can try to pinpoint at least the neighborhood or something. That is, if a call is made." Seungmin said, glancing at Chan.

"Do I have to?" Chan said. He didn't really want to talk to Chanhee at the moment. He was feeling,.......... how do you put it? Betrayed? No, lied to? He wasn't sure if Chanhee approached him deliberately or not.

"Who knows? Maybe this guy approached you cause he knows about you?" Changbin said, adding flame to the fire.

"Chan hyung, they know our headquarters while we have almost no intel on them. This might give us a kickstart." Han persuaded.

"Fine." Chan muttered.

Seungmin threw back his phone and Chan caught it while plopping down his chair. His fingers hovered above the call button before Minho pressed it for him instead. Minho grinned back at the glare he got. He put the call on speaker while doing so.

All the members perked up their ears as Chanhee picked up. Seungmin quickly went to work on his laptop while also trying to keep his typing and clicking sound on the low.

"Hello?"

"H-Hi! It's Chan from this morning."

"I know. Good evening."

"Good evening."

"......."

"........"

"Did you have something to say?"

"Oh, right!"

Changbin nudged Hyunjin. The two of them wriggled their brows at each other at how the leader seemed to be flustered and antsy at the same time. Jeongin raised a brow at the two's excited behavior.

"I was wondering..." Chan glanced at Seungmin who was still buried in his laptop, "do you remember what I said this morning?"

"Hmm? You mean having lunch together?"

"Ye-Yeah.. that. I wanted to know when you'd be free."

"You move fast, you know."

Chanhee giggled. Chan flushed at the sound. He moved his face away to hide his red flustered face. The members glanced at each other. Their desire to tease was much greater than needing to find Chanhee's location. But Felix nudged Seungmin to focus.

"I- umm, I didn't mean to but if you feel uncomfortable-"

"What about the day after tomorrow? I have some work tomorrow. Is that alright?"

"Huh? Oh, sure! It's absolutely perfect." Chan mentally facepalmed himself. Really? Perfect?

"Ok then. I'll see you the next day."

"Yeah. I'll text you the place later."

"Okie! Good night, Chan-ssi~~"

Click! The phone hung up. Chan's slouched back was facing all the member's curious and teasing looks. Jeongin walked up and turned the chair around to see Chan with his head hung down.

"You got fished~~~" Hyunjin said in a sing-song manner.

"It's a great catch." Minho agreed, nodding thoughtfully.

Chan glared up at his members and rolled his eyes. He had, somehow, secured a somewhat date with Chanhee who was a possible enemy. He looked at Seungmin, startling the younger since he was still on glare mode.

"Did you find it?"

"I managed to minimize it as much as I could." Seungmin said.

Felix and Han peeked at the screen.

"That could work." Han said, looking up at Chan.

"That's good then." Chan mumbled.

"Do I still need to tail Haknyeon?" Jeongin asked, raising his hand.

"Yes." Minho replied.

Changbin clapped his hands together and stood up. He had his head held up high, looking haughty.

"Then, let me summarize the conclusion of this meeting. Jeongin needs to socialize for possibly the first time in his life to get intel on Haknyeon. Chan hyung managed to secure a date with our attacker."

The mentioned two people glared at Changbin who was having too much fun teasing his members. The rest of the members giggled along.

A/N: I'm just wondering what would be the ship name of Chanhee and Chan? 2Chan? ChanChan? lol
