Fifteen

Sangyeon's group got to Paris first. They went ahead to their accommodation which was a whole three story house just outside the center of Paris. The other six would stay at a hotel.

Juyeon and Younghoon immediately got to work, setting up their equipment. Sangyeon walked outside to receive a call. Hyunjae just disappeared somewhere.

Growl......

Jacob frowned and turned around to see Haknyeon standing in the kitchen with a sad pout. He chuckled to himself. He looked around a bit.

"Hey, I'm gonna go get groceries with Haknyeon. Want me to get anything?" He asked Younghoon.

"You already know what we need." He replied.

Jacob nodded. He walked up behind Haknyeon and tapped on his shoulder. Haknyeon turned around, slightly startled by how close Jacob was standing. Jacob smiled.

"Let's go get food for your tummy." Jacob said, patting Haknyeon's tummy.

Haknyeon blushed at that. But he nodded furiously making Jacob coo at the cuteness. He hooked his arm around Haknyeon and dragged him out of the house. Haknyeon smiled to himself as he inhaled Jacob's cologne. Wait, Jacob never wore cologne except for missions.

"He even smells good." Haknyeon mumbled quietly as Jacob got into the driver seat.

"What did you say?" Jacob asked.

"I can smell the barbeque already." Haknyeon beamed, lying through his teeth.

Jacob smiled and nodded. He ruffled up Haknyeon's fluffy hair and shook his head.

"We aren't getting barbeque." He said, making Haknyeon pout sadly.

"Why not?" Haknyeon whined.

"Cause we're here for work, not a holiday."

Haknyeon slumped back in his seat. He was looking forward to having a big hearty dinner for the day. Sangyeon had said the mission would start the next day. Jacob glanced at Haknyeon and let out a soft sigh.

"We'll have barbeque when we get back to Korea." He said, revving the engine.

Needless to say, Haknyeon's smile was shining throughout the car ride.

Hyunjin plopped down the hotel bed gratefully. He let out a sigh of exhaustion and moaned into the soft pillows. Then, he got a slap on his butt. Hyunjin craned his neck and glared at the culprit.

"Why do you guys keep hitting me?" Hyunjin grumbled.

"Cause you keep asking for it." Changbin shrugged, "Now, change your clothes first or something. You're dirty."

"Later." Hyunjin groaned.

He curled up on the white blanket and smiled in content. He was having the time of his life before Changbin started mentioning a certain boy.

"By the way, Haknyeon was it? The boy that Felix and others saw at school."

Hyunjin's eyes shot open. Suddenly, the image of Haknyeon smirking at him as he made his getaway on the car appeared in his mind. Oh, Hyunjin was still irritated by that. He huffed.

"Yeah, so what?"

"Seungmin managed to get some info out of Hyunjun. Turns out he's the same age as me." Changbin said.

"Wait, then that brat is older than me?" Hyunjin said, shooting up from bed.

Changbin looked at him in slight confusion and nodded. Then he went into the shower room, leaving Hyunjin alone. Hyunjin narrowed his eyes.

"That arrogant guy is older than me? How come? He doesn't look like it though." Hyunjin whispered to himself as he thought back to Haknyeon.

Haknyeon looked pretty young with his chubby cheeks and wide round eyes. He was the epitome of handsomely cute and the way he giggled just before taunting Hyunjin was mischievous like a little brother was.

The more Hyunjin thought, the more Hyunjin got aggravated. He messed up his blanket in frustration and let out a groan.

"I need to cool off."

Hyunjin got off the bed and grabbed his jacket. He knocked on the shower door.

"Hyung! I'm going out for a while. I'll just be in the hotel." He said.

He didn't wait for a reply and went out the room. He walked along the corridor towards the elevator.

"Maybe I'll go to Jeongin and Seungmin."

They were all staying by pairs on separate floors. Changbin and he were on the 3rd floor, Chan and Minho on the 4th, Han and Felix on the 5th and finally, Jeongin and Seungmin on the 6th.

Chanhee got off the cab and paid the driver. Sunwoo and Eric stood by as they pretended to be rich when the bellboy came to unload their luggage. Changmin rolled his eyes at them but he pulled the same posh expression. When Chanhee turned around after paying, he was greeted by the three who had their heads held up high.

Chanhee resisted the urge to smack them one by one then and there. He sighed and smiled at the bellboy as he gave him a tip. The four walked into the hotel and Changmin and Chanhee went to the reception for their keys. Sunwoo and Eric waited with their luggage, eyeing the building.

"My hands are tingling here." Eric whispered.

"So are mine." Sunwoo smirked as he stared a particular gold necklace on a lady.

Their eyes were going through every nook and cranny. Aside from the expensive decors and the wealthy people here, they were looking for potential escape routes. They would report back to the others afterwards.

Just as Eric's eyes were following a group of wealthy family (evident by the child pulling a tantrum yet the parents don't care), a familiar figure passed by. Eric blinked. He quickly looked back to catch another glimpse of the figure but he was nowhere to be seen.

Eric was sure he had seen that grey hair somewhere before. He kept thinking to himself when Sunwoo nudged him in the ribs.

"Hey, Changmin hyung is back." He said.

Eric nodded absentmindedly. Chanhee and Sunwoo went to their room on the 6th floor while Changmin and Eric went to theirs on the 5th floor.

Once they got to their room, Sunwoo immediately plopped down his bed. Before he could even bask in the soft fluffy bed, Chanhee kicked him off. Sunwoo fell down the floor with a thud.

"Change or shower first. You stink." Chanhee snapped.

"Yes, mother." Sunwoo muttered.

But he curled up on the floor, pulling the blanket onto him instead. Chanhee stared at the boy in astonishment. He shook his head. Then, he felt his phone vibrate. It was from their group chat. Kevin and Hyunjun had their rooms on the 4th floor. And apparently, Jacob and Haknyeon were out shopping.

Chanhee put his phone back in and glanced at Sunwoo. He walked over and nudged the blanket-covered boy with his foot.

No response. Chanhee nudged again. No response.

"I'm going to Kevin's room for a bit." He said anyways.

Sunwoo hummed out a response. Chanhee started walking away but turned back and kicked at him again, making the boy roll over like a caterpillar. He quickly dashed out of the room before Sunwoo could shout at him.

Chanhee giggled to himself as he walked to the elevator. He waited for the one on the right but it was stopping at the 5th floor. While he was waiting, the left one arrived first so he got on that one. As soon as the elevator door on the left closed, the one on the right opened.

Han and Felix got out of the elevator as they made their way to Jeongin and Seungmin's room. Felix raked his hands through his dyed silver hair. The colors were starting to fade into a mere grey though. Han banged on the door. He grinned when Jeongin opened the door with a grumpy look.

"Have you ever heard of the word 'knock'?"

Han pushed him aside and entered the room, followed by Felix. Jeongin rolled his eyes and closed the door behind him. Just a few seconds after he shut it, the door on the opposite opened to reveal a tacky-looking Sunwoo.

Sunwoo put on his hoodie and went to the elevator. Eric and Changmin said they were playing Fortnite so he decided to join along. Sunwoo went into the elevator on the right and stood idly. Once his elevator door closed, the elevator on the left opened to reveal Hyunjin.

Hyunjin walked to Jeongin and Seungmin's room. He also banged on the door.

"I swear you do not know common courtesy." Seungmin snapped as he flung the door open.

Hyunjin grinned and pushed Seungmin aside as he walked into the room. Seungmin sighed and closed the door. He was in his bathrobe, preparing to take a shower when they crashed by. It didn't seem like he was going to get any rest soon.

Haknyeon kept glancing at Jacob as they walked along the famous Champs Elysees Avenue. Jacob's hands were stuck inside his own jacket pocket. The evening breeze was slightly chilly. Haknyeon looked back at his own hands which were red from the cold. He sniffed and rubbed them together to keep warm.

"Wanna get some hot chocolate?" Jacob said, pointing at a stand.

Haknyeon nodded. Jacob smiled at that. As expected for Haknyeon. He'd never refuse food. The two walked towards the stand. Haknyeon's eyes wandered elsewhere as Jacob ordered the hot chocolates. His attention was captured by a couple who was huddling together.

The man had his hands on the woman's ear as they stared into each other's gazes. The two looked pretty cozy and romantic at the moment. Haknyeon found himself staring at the couple.

Jacob turned to him with the two chocolate cups in his hand. He tilted his head when Haknyeon seemed to be distracted. Jacob followed his gaze and smiled when he saw what it was. He looked back at Haknyeon. He crept closer quietly, lifting the warm cup up to Haknyeon's cheek.

Haknyeon got startled when the warmth hit his face. He turned to see Jacob with a wide teasing grin. Haknyeon blushed for reasons unknown.

"Is our Hakkie feeling lonely?" Jacob teased with a pout.

"N-Nah-uh! What are you talking about? Me? Lonely? Nonsense." Haknyeon babbled, taking the cup from Jacob.

He quickly took a sip and burned his tongue accidentally. Jacob laughed as Haknyeon had his tongue out. Haknyeon glared at him. Jacob pressed his lips into a thin line, suppressing his laughter. Haknyeon huffed and walked away back to their car. Jacob smiled and followed from behind.

Haknyeon kept walking, not looking back once. Jacob kept following, step by step. He stayed right behind Haknyeon, stopping when he did and continuing when he did. Just like that, they made their way back to the car. Haknyeon waited for Jacob to open it. But Jacob just walked up to him with a smile.

"Aren't we getting on?" Haknyeon raised a brow.

"We will." Jacob replied.

"Then open the doors."

"Okay."

Haknyeon frowned at how odd Jacob was acting. It didn't sit right with him. Well, in a way, Haknyeon hadn't been feeling right ever since they got to the airport. Instead of his stomach growling, he was feeling butterflies in it. That wasn't comfortable.

Haknyeon and Jacob got on the car. The drive back to the house was silent. Haknyeon didn't know how Jacob felt but he was feeling awkward as hell. Haknyeon pouted to himself. Maybe it was all in his head. Maybe he was the only one overreacting.

It didn't feel all that nice.

The two were attacked by a hungry Juyeon as soon as they got home. Juyeon snatched a pack of bread away and plopped down the sofa, eating it. Hyunjae and Younghoon were upstairs on the third floor in their room doing whatever.

"Sangyeon hyung said you can rest for today. We'll go over the plan tomorrow." Juyeon said with his mouth full.

Jacob nodded and started putting the grocery away. Haknyeon reluctantly helped and quickly dashed to his room on the second floor. He clicked the door shut behind him and then let out a big sigh of relief.

"Wait, why am I relieved though?" Haknyeon spoke to himself.

He shook his head and started taking off his upper coat and sweater. He threw them somewhere in the corner of his room and plopped down his bed. He took out his phone and went into the group chat for any updates on the other six.

Even as he was scrolling through the messages, his mind kept drifting off to the scene from earlier. The couple holding each other......

Suddenly, the couple's faces were replaced by two extremely familiar faces. Haknyeon dropped his phone out of shock. He let out a gasp and slapped his hand onto his mouth, shutting it as if someone could hear him. Haknyeon looked left and right, checking if anyone was near. But of course not, he was in his room alone.

"Why am I imagining Jacob hyung like that....." Haknyeon groaned to himself.

He laid back onto the bed and stared up at the blank ceiling. It acted as the perfect canvas to draw out Haknyeon's imagination. Right now, he was drawing out the perfect picture of Jacob cupping his face and Haknyeon staring back at him.

Slap! The sound echoed in the cold room as Haknyeon slapped himself. He blinked for a moment.

"Get back to your senses, Ju Haknyeon." He scolded himself.

Knock, knock.

"Come in." Haknyeon replied.

He didn't bother looking up since he knew who it was already. None of the members bothered knocking on the door except for Sangyeon and Jacob. Wait, Jacob?

"How do you feel, Hakkie?" Jacob said, sitting down on the bed beside him.

Haknyeon blinked for a while. Jacob raised his brows and pointed at his mouth. Haknyeon tried to make his brain function properly again. He realized what Jacob was referring to a bit late.

"Oh, it's fine now. Though my tongue feels a bit numb." Haknyeon replied, sitting up.

He put his hands together, rubbing them as he felt awkward. This wasn't good. He was never one to feel awkward even with a stranger. So why was he feeling so damn uncomfortable now?

"That's good." Jacob smiled, patting down Haknyeon's head, "But maybe you wanna stick some ice on that? You know, just in case."

Haknyeon looked down at the mug in Jacob's hand. There was a few cubes of ice in it. He nodded and picked one, popping it into his mouth. He should have picked better because the ice cube was a tad bit too big.

Jacob giggled again as Haknyeon seemed to struggle to hold onto the ice in his mouth. His right cheek was bulging with the ice. Jacob poked the cheek and smiled.

Haknyeon froze. Well, he felt like his cheek was partially frozen with the ice in it but there was another reason. Jacob had tapped on Haknyeon's lips and forced them open with two of his fingers. Haknyeon willingly parted his lips as Jacob poked his finger in and moved the ice onto his tongue. Jacob's smile disappeared.

Jacob kept his eyes on the ice cube while Haknyeon stared at him. He had no damn clue what Jacob was doing right now. And what was he supposed to be thinking of?

At that moment, Jacob's eyes darted up to meet Haknyeon's surprised ones. The two kept eye contact for a suffocating moment. Haknyeon's mouth was still open, making saliva get caught on the lower part under his tongue. Jacob pushed down on the ice cube, making Haknyeon make a sound he never knew he could.

Haknyeon broke eye contact for a split second then looked back at Jacob again. But that split second seemed enough for Jacob to change his gaze. Jacob swallowed once and leant in closer. He swirled the ice on the surface of the tongue as he kept eye contact.

Haknyeon's face was burning red. He was slightly dripping saliva from his bottom lip from how long he was keeping his mouth open. The finger in his mouth controlling the cold ice cube was also somewhat arousing.

Then, Jacob slid his finger out of Haknyeon's mouth. A string of saliva trailed from his fingertip as it slid across the wet bottom lip. Haknyeon still didn't close his mouth. Though he didn't know exactly why.

"Haknyeon-ah." Jacob spoke in his usual sweet voice but something was lurking in it.

"Yes, hyung?" Haknyeon replied after swallowing down his excess saliva.

Jacob glanced at the broken string of saliva then back at Haknyeon. He swiped his wet cold fingertip on Haknyeon's bottom lip. Then, as he gently held Haknyeon's jaw, Jacob swooped in to engulf Haknyeon into a kiss.

It was all strange. The feels. The moment. Everything.

Jacob's finger felt cold on Haknyeon's jaw. Haknyeon's tongue was cold and the ice cube was still inside his mouth. It was considerably melted but there was a tiny bit of it left. The coldness mixed in with the warm breath was a weird tingly sensation that neither of them expected.

While keeping their lips connected, Jacob grabbed another ice cube from the mug. He parted for a moment, biting the ice cube. Haknyeon took the chance to catch his breath before Jacob leant in again, enclosing the space between them.

The fresh ice cube elevated the coldness. Their lips were numb from the cold yet when Jacob pushed the ice into Haknyeon's mouth, it was warm again. Jacob kept swirling the ice cube with his tongue inside Haknyeon's mouth. Haknyeon whimpered at the feeling. He gripped onto the bed sheets, not knowing where to put his hands.

Jacob seemed to know perfectly well though. He pulled Haknyeon in closer by holding his jaw. The other hand was placed conveniently behind Haknyeon's neck. He didn't stop kissing until the ice was all melted away. Only then, he pulled back. Once again, a string of saliva connecting their lips this time.

Though what kind of string would be connecting the two now after this kiss?

A/N: This chapter got so long! I admit I got a bit carried away writing the kiss scene ( ̄_ ̄|||)
