Hey y'all! I can't believe this story has 932 reads! That so awesome! I'm glad y'all are enjoying this book so much! It makes me so happy! Also, this chapter is gonna be a short one as it is just a filler before we finally, finally get to Moon and Wave's last date!!! As not a couple, that is.

Moon: Wait what!?

Wave: Did he just say-

Anyways, this'll be quick and I hope y'all enjoy! See ya!

Branch's POV:

"They're gone?! What do you mean they're gone!!" I asked, frantically looking up and down the beach to see if I could see my sister and her totally-not-boyfriend boyfriend.

"Yes they're gone! And I bet it's the stupid Vaporeon's fault." Cupcake said, tightening her paws into almost-fists.

"Hey! Wave is awesome. He's my best friend and he would never do this on purpose." Burn said, somewhat angrily at his girlfriend.

"That doesn't mean-ugh!" My sister said before taking a deep breath and looking at her boyfriend. "Burn, baby. You are the Applin of my eye, and I love you so, so very much. I'm sure Wave is a wonderful mon, but until he proves to me he is, I don't like him. Okay?"

"Okay." The Flareon replied, although a bit sadly.

"Now where was I? Oh yes. It's that stupid, ugly, no good, rotten-"

"Cupcake. Enough." Crystal said, giving my sister a stern look.

I could here Cupcake grumble some more adjectives under her breath before growing quiet. I continued looking up and down the beach, praying that Moon would walk over a dune and everything would be okay. But it wasn't. She didn't crest a dune and call out to us and neither did the Vaporeon.

"What do we do?" I asked the beautiful Alolan Ninetails.

"I...." Crystal looked uncertain for a moment but quickly regained her coposure. "We start looking for clues. Pawprints, sents, things like that."

"Um....I might have a clue." Burn said.

"Yes go ahead. Please share." Crystal urged the Flareon.

"I heard Wave talking about a cave."

....

"Is that it?"

"Yes."

"Well, at least it's something."

"I'm so proud of you babe!" Cupcake said wrapping her ribbons and arms around her boyfriend.

"I just said something. It wasn't much." The Flareon said, blushing a little.

"Let's go look for a cave then." I said, running down the beach, opposite of the way we came.

"Wait for me babe!" I heard Crystal shout after me.

Slowing down a little, I allowed the ice/fairy type to catch up with me. I smiled at her as she approached and she returned it.

"So....Branch."

"Yes?"

"Are we going to....ever get....married."

I could feel my face grow hot.

"I um....I uh....uh....um....um....uh...."

"Don't stress about it. It's fine. I love being your girlfriend."

Her voice sounded fine, but when I looked into her eyes, I saw sadness and longing. My ears drooped and I looked at the sand below my paws as we walked. After a moment I felt Crystal nudge me, causing me to look up.

"What is it-oh."

A large cave entrance stood before us, however, halfway into the cave there was a large pile of rocks, blocking us for entering. And Moon and Wave from exiting.

"Moon!" I yelled running up to the rocks "Moon! Moon it's me! Moon! Are you okay? Are you there? Moon!"

Nothing. No response. The only thing to answer was my voice echoing along the cave walls.

I slummped against the rocks and buried my head in my paws. A few tears streaked my face, but I made sure to not bawl my eyes out. I felt Crystal sit down next to me and put her arm around me.

"It's okay Branch. I'm sure they are looking for a way out of the cave. We should be ready when the get out." She told me.

"But how do we know where they'll come out?"

"We spilt up. Cupcake and Burn go one way, we go another." She said simply.

"Oh."

"Now, let's go tell your them."

I nodded and we got up, heading back to where we started.

*************************************************

The sun was beginning to rise when I found them. They were sitting by a pond, cleaning their wounds, when I started shouting.

"Branch?" I heard Moon ask.

"Moon!" I responded, running up to her "Moon you're okay! Oh Moon! You're safe!"

I swept her up into a great big Ursaring hug and held her tight.

"Hey....Branch I appreciate this but....*gasp* I can't breathe!"

Somewhat reluctantly, I let Moon go and she began gasping to fill her lungs with air again. After she did so, she looked at me and smiled.

"Hey Branch. Sorry for the scare." She said with a weak smile.

"Are you okay? You look hurt? What happened? Were you attacked?" I asked, frantically looking at all of my sisters bruises and cuts.

Moon went on to tell me about walking through the cave with Wave, running into a Dragalge and then a dragon. Wave getting seriously hurt and her having to defend him. And finally, escaping and falling asleep on the beach. I looked at her in awe.

"You....you....fought? You battled something?"

"Yeah....I did. Killed it even. With The Wave's help, that is."

I finally realized the Vaporeon was laying next to the water, leaves wrapped around his waist. He had a huge black eye and looked to be in a lot of pain. I walked up to him and nodded. He nodded back and I turned to Moon. I gave her another hug before kissing her on the forehead.

"I'm so glad you're safe." I told her, hugging her more tightly.

"I am too. Could you maybe help Wave? He's surprisingly heavy and I'm extremely tired." Moon informed me, looking towards where the water type laid.

I simply just nodded and set the Vaporeon on my back. Moon was right. He was surprisingly heavy for his size. After putting Wave on my back, I led Moon to where Crystal was. She was resting on a rock in the sunlight, looking beautiful. As always.

"You found them!" She said happily when she saw us.

She ran up to Moon and gave her a hug as well.

"How are you Moon Beam?" She asked, looking at the Umbreon's condition.

"I'm okay. Mostly thanks to Wave. Just a few cuts and bruises is all." Moon answered.

"That's good, that's good." Crystal turned to look at Wave and she smiled at him. "Thank you Wave. From both me and Branch."

"Oh it was mostly my fault. Nothing to thank me for." Wave replied.

"You're darn right it is!" Cupcake said, storming into the small clearing we were in. Burn was behind her and looked rather frightened if I'm being honest.

"Cupcake, babe, remember what I said about-" The Flareon tired to say.

"Wave! What do you think you're doing!? Taking my sister into dark cave full of Arceus knows what!!" Cupcake yelled at the water type on my back.

"Well, for your information, I-" Wave began.

"Cupcake leaves him alone." Moon said, getting into Cupcake's face.

"Back off Moon. This isn't your business."

"Yes it is. He saved me and without him I would be dead right now."

Cupcake glared at Moon before turning her gaze to Wave.

"I won't believe you, but is this true?"

"Yes."

Cupcake muttered something unaidable before walking over to stand next to Burn. I looked at Crystal with bewilderment and she just shrugged her shoulders.

"Moon, let's get you home." She nodded and I looked over at Burn. "Come take Wave off my back and take him back to his house. Make sure he is well cared for." I told him.

"Yessir." The Flareon said, quickly running up to me and putting Wave on his back.

I motioned for Cupcake to come with me, Crystal and Moon to which she hesitantly acknowledged before giving Burn a passionate kiss. They looked at each other with loving eyes before Burn left, heading towards Wave's den. I began walking towards our own house, Moon, Crystal, and Cupcake following me.

I think Wave would be good for Moon. I thought to myself, which took me by surprise. I barley knew Wave, but I already thought he would take good care of my sister. Which was saying something.

Once I saw our den, I picked up the pace, hurrying to get this day over with.
