~ 10 : Eddie ~

Eddie woke up in Richie's room and started to panic. Holy shit! He thought. I made out with my best friend, Richie Trashmouth Tozier, last night. I gotta get out of here. He quietly got out of bed and changed out of Richie's clothes and into his own. However, he slipped Richie's hoodie back on not wanting to let go of it yet. He grabbed a piece of paper from Richie's desk and quickly scribbled "had to go. talk to you later." on it. He quickly ran into the living room and spotted the house phone. He dialed his mom and told her he was about to come home. Then he called up all of his friends telling them to meet up at the bunker in thirty minutes without telling Richie.

He got home and told his mom he would be heading back out soon. She asked him about the sleepover but all Eddie could say was "It was fun".

He waited anxiously for his friends to arrive. First Ben got there, then Stan, then Bill and Bev, and lastly Mike.

"What's all this about, Eddie?" Mike Hanlon asked as he sat on the built in swing Ben installed when he first built this place.

"Yeah," Ben Hanscom said looking around the room. "And why couldn't we tell Richie?" After he asked that, there was a collection of "yeah's" and nodding heads. Eddie watched as Ben sat on a stool next to where Stan was standing. Then Bill and Beverly got on the hammock together and Bill put an arm around her waist.

Eddie bit on his fingers nervously. "Richie is in love with me and he told me last night that he loved me and we kissed and I didn't say it back and now I need your help coming up with a way to tell him how I feel." Eddie blurted out and his hand immediately flew to his mouth.

Everyone stayed very still, eyes wide and mouth open with shock. No one said anything for a while because they were all trying to process what Eddie said.

Bev was the first one to speak. "Okay, first of all, we could barely understand what you were saying because you were talking so fast. Second of all, that's fucking adorable." Eddie smiled at this because he was scared of what his friends thought of him.

"I knew it." Stan said with a pleased look on his face.

"Maybe you guys could have like a picnic down here," Ben suggested. "And you can tell him how you feel then."

"Great idea, new kid." Bev said as she smiled at him. Ben blushed and turned away. Bill noticed this and defensively pulled her closer to him.

"That's a good idea, actually," Mike said. "The losers and I could help you set up."

"Yeah!" All of them said excitedly in unison.

Eddie smiled at all of them, relief washing over him. "You guys are the best."

"W-well," Bill started to say. "When y-you're a los-loser-"

"You have nothing left to lose!" Everyone joined in.

"Okay," Bev said. "Let's start planning this bitch!"
