~ 2 : Eddie ~

When Eddie opened the door he was confused to see Stanley Uris standing there by himself. "Where are Bill and Bev?" he asked.

Stan just rolled his eyes as he walked into the house. He spotted Richie coming out of Eddie's room right before he plopped down onto the couch angrily.

"Yo, Stan the man-" Richie stopped short after seeing how frustrated Stan was. "Whoa, why are you so mad?"

"Because, Richie! Bill and Bev are pissing me off!" Stan said, clearly mad about something.

"Again?" Eddie and Richie said in unison. Eddie glanced at Richie only to find Richie focusing his attention on Stanley. Focusing, Eddie thought. I don't think I've ever seen him do that.

"What did they do?" Eddie asked.

"Right when I'm about to meet up with them to head to your house, I get a call from Bill saying that him and Beverly are heading to the Quarry right now," Stanley explained angrily. "And then he asked me to pick up you guys instead of all three of us going together to get you both."

Both Richie and Eddie's mouths formed and "O".

"And what was I supposed to say? 'No I'm not going to do that'? They would think I'm a huge jerk or something!" Stan said, still upset.

"Hey, you're not a jerk Stan. You're a really good friend," Richie said as he patted Stan on the shoulder. "They're a couple and they like to do stuff on their own sometimes."

"That doesn't make it right though," Eddie butted in because something about Richie comforting Stan didn't sit right with him. He shook that feeling off quick, though. "Nobody deserves to be treated that way. Sorry, Stan."

"Thanks, Eds." Stanley said. Eddie saw Richie shift uncomfortably.

"C'mon, then," Richie said in a British accent. "Pip pip and tallyho! To the Quarry we go!"

Eddie started for the door while Stanley just rolled his eyes. They all went out front and grabbed their bikes.

"Okay, so," Eddie started. "It's twelve o' clock right now. And my mom gets home at five. So that means-"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Richie butted in while Eddie was mid-sentence. "We'll get you home on time. And I'll be there too so I can kiss your mom when she comes back."

"Shut up, Richie!" Eddie yelled as he started pedaling towards the Quarry. Stan once again rolled his eyes.

                                                              -------------------------------------------------

Halfway to the Quarry, the three boys stopped dead in their tracks from the sight of Henry Bowers' car. Henry and Patrick Hockstetter were leaning on the ride of the navy blue car when they spotted them. Eddie gulped with fear and he peered at Richie and Stan who were doing the same.

"What are you three fags doing in this part of Derry?" Henry spat viciously from across the street. "Shouldn't you be at the library with Tits sucking face in the backroom?"

"Shut up, Bowers! Go suck off your dad!" Richie shouted from the other side the street. Eddie shot a look at Richie who turned to him, swallowing a huge lump in his throat. Richie, you are such a dumbass. He thought.

"I am such a dumbass." Richie whispered under his breath. Eddie tried not to smile at Richie for practically reading his mind.

"The fuck you say to me you little fairy?" Henry and Patrick started walking towards them. Out of sheer fear the boys pedaled as fast as they could and headed for the Quarry once again. Eddie's heart was practically beating out of his chest from the thought of Bowers hurting them and how fast they were going. "You can't run from me!"

Eddie turned around and his face was drained of color. "Uh, guys?"

"What, Eds?" Richie shouted from in front of him.

"They're following us. In their car."

"Holy shit!" Stan called out. "Turn here!"

They all made a sharp turn into the alley way by the butchers. Unfortunately, Eddie lost control of his bike and flew over his handle bars, making him fall into the dirt. Fortunately, though, Bowers drove right past them.

"Holy shit!" Richie exclaimed throwing his bike on the ground running over to him. While Stanley set up his kickstand then then made his way over to them. "Eddie are you okay?"

Richie bent down besides Eddie, placing a hand on his shoulder and Eddie became sickeningly nervous all of the sudden. He reached for his inhaler and took it before speaking. "Yeah, I'm fine." He managed to spit out.

"You're bleeding Eddie." Stan pointed out.

"No shit, Sherlock!" Richie retorted. Eddie couldn't help but laugh and shake his head.

"Let's just go to the Quarry already," Eddie calmed his breathing becoming comfortable with Richie being by his side. "I can patch myself up there."

Eddie winced as he got onto his bike, his blooding knee was causing him pain. But he pushed through and they finally made it to the Quarry, only to see Bill and Bev on top of each other.

Kissing.
