at the pool

After wiping tears and getting ready to go, we walked down to the pool to be greeted by Adam and Luis. Luis gave Connie a small hug, so adorable. Even though she did cheat on Guy to be with Luis, she wanted the best for Guy still. She even wanted me to be with him. She was the sweetest. When it was around 8 o'clock the weather was still blazing. I chose to wear a white top with a yellow bottom. I loved the way it looked.

"Y'all look great!" A voice yelped up from the back. Dwayne, Dean, and Fulton showed up. I nodded at him in a confused form of thank you.

"I thought it was going to be just us?" I discreetly whispered to Julie and Connie. We all looked at each other confusingly.

"It was just supposed to be the 5 of us." Connie whispered back. Soon the rest of the team arrived. Except for Averman, Jesse and Guy. I kinda wanted Guy to be here. Maybe tell him how I had a small crush on him. But that I didn't want anything to change. I know he wouldn't feel the same. But my feelings have grown stronger for him since he opened up about his dad. He trusted me to tell the truth about it. He trusted me.

We all splashed around for a good half hour when we all got out and dried off and got drinks of water. I couldn't believe how nice California was. Sun is hot, cool water. A whole new team that is amazing. Never in a millions years would I have imagined this. I checked my phone to see some texts from Sierra.

hey sorry we're at the pool rn!

but we won 9-2 and i blocked a lot of shots, hockey is really fun. i'll text you more when i get back to my dorm, shouldn't be to long:)

When I glanced up from my phone a saw Julie on top of Fulton's shoulder and Connie on Luis's it was hilarious watching them. Soon enough they both pushed each other into the water and splashed everyone. We all laughed at them and jumped back in. The team unanimously decided it would be best to act like 4 year olds and have handstand competitions and underwater tea parties. Deans idea for the tea party. We eventually all got tired and saw that it was 10:30 and we had a game against Italy tomorrow. I was excited and super happy.

We said our good nights and watched Connie and Luis, the new couple, hug and give kisses on the cheek. It was adorable. But it reminded me that Guy wasn't there. Did no one tell him? He was the only one that wasn't there.

"You okay?" Charlie asked me. Adam walked up to us as he finished his question.

"Yeah, but did no one tell Guy we were here?" I responded.

Charlie and Adam looked at each other and smile. They were up to something. "We told him he could come if he wanted. He said he was going to bed early. He did play hard today." Adam said to me.

"I guess you're right but I feel like he's feeling left out." I sighed.

We all walked to the elevator. The the three of us squeezed in. Alongside Julie, Connie, and Kenny.

"Do you guys know why Guy wasn't there?" I asked.

"Lyn, I told you he said he couldn't." Julie quickly said.

"Wait but I thought that-" Kenny started before Connie and Adam elbowed him in the stomach.

"Kenny do you have something to say?" I questioned in tone.

"Nope. Nodda. In fact this is my floor! I had fun tonight thanks!" He spoke as he ran out the elevator doors. He ran down the hallway. Charlie and Adam joined him, it was the boys floor anyways. They were hiding something. I hated this. Not just not being included but the fact that they're hiding some thing.

We got to our floor and unlocked it. We turned on our LED lights and I sat my stuff down. Stuff being my towel and phone. I glanced at my bed and saw a black box and envelope.

"Uh guys I think someone was in here when we were gone." I stuttered.

"Ohhhh? Really? That's um very suspicious!" Julie and Connie said back and forth. "Why don't you maybe open the box!" They were clearly part of this.

I playfully rolled my eyes at them and picked up the box. In it was a hockey puck shaped stand and a necklace. With a #15 charm, and a hockey charm.

I gasped at it. It was adorable and I knew I needed to thank whoever got me it. Hopefully one of the girls would tell me. I felt bad when people spent money on me.

"Let us see!" Julie piped up. They ran over to my bed and exchanged awes.

"What's in the envelope?" Connie asked.

I opened the envelope and read it in my head.

Lyndon,
I hope you enjoy this necklace, don't worry about the price because I know you do sometimes. I want to welcome you to my guess who game. I wanna ask you out but I also want to be creative and let you go on a little adventure. You wont have to go anywhere but in three days I'll reveal myself and if you figured out who I was then you did. I'll ask you out either way, but I want to see if you know me as well as people think you do!

Someone seriously did this. I handed the letter to the girls while they read it. They clearly knew who it was but I had no idea. It could've been Gunnar Stahl for all I know. Even though he's kinda a bitch. I knew for sure it wasn't Luis, Guy, or Adam. Luis had a girlfriend, Guy doesn't like me like that or at least I think, and Adam already likes someone. I'm in for a whirl.

The look on Lyndons face was priceless. She had no idea who it was when it was so obvious.

"Okay I think it's either, Charlie, Averman or maybe Guy. Just the way they write. It seems like one of them." Lyndon stated.

"Let's hope it's who you want it to be!" Connie bursted. We know she wanted it to be Guy, but it was really fun watching her get nervous that it wasn't.

"I want it to be Guy! But if someone else asks me out I'll feel to bad to say no. That's how I was with my ex and we know how that turned out. Can you guys just tell me who it is!" Lyndon sarcastically whined.

"You already have hints, we just gave him the dorm key!" I said teasing her. We laughed and got settled for bed. After laying down and watching Tiktok for awhile I realized Lyndon had fallen asleep.

"Is she sleeping?" Connie whispered. I nodded.

"Let's go!" I whispered back. We turned off the LED lights, put on our sandals and double checked to make sure she was asleep.

"She's going to love her next surprise!" Connie whispered to me.

We were about to leave as I whispered back "She doesn't know what's gonna hit her."

After saying that we were out the door.
