(Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Yes, I know that was yesterday, sue me.)

Now let the story begin.

He's so kind and sweet, I can't wait to confess my feelings for him!

Joy thinks to herself as she dreamily watches [Y/N] happily chat with Fear and Disgust.

[Y/N], also known as Love, is one of the emotions from the mind of a young girl named Riley.

He represents all forms of love Riley feels, whether it be familial, platonic, romantic, etc.

As she continues watching him, Joy reminisces about the day [Y/N] came into being.

Riley was really mad at her mom over something, I can't exactly remember what since that was years ago when she was a little kid, but I do recall that when they made up, it was the first time Riley ever said I love you. After that, [Y/N] was created and quickly made friends with everyone, and I've never been more happy than when he came into my life!

Since today is Valentine's Day (again, I know I'm a day late), Joy plans on confessing her love to [Y/N].

Little does she know however, [Y/N] has feelings for her too and also plans on confessing.

Joy is taken out of her thoughts by the excited voice of [Y/N].

[Y/N] : Guys, come look!

All the emotions gather and watch as Riley goes up to a boy with the intent of asking him out.

[Y/N] : That boy....he's [C/N]! That's Riley's crush! She's gonna ask him out! Love's in the air everybody!

He exclaims with a happy laugh.

Fear : Oh no, he's Riley's first crush! What if this goes horribly wrong?!

Joy : Calm down fear, I'm sure everything will be fine.

Sadness : You don't know that for sure Joy, [C/N] could reject her, resulting in her giving up on love entirely and spending the rest of her life alone.

[Y/N] flinches when she says this, his action not going unnoticed by Joy.

Joy : Don't say that Sadness!

Anger : If that punk rejects her I say Riley should slug him!

Disgust : Yeah, Riley can do much better than him. I mean look at his clothes! A plaid shirt and white jeans is sooo tacky.

[Y/N] : Guys, let's all remain calm and just see how this plays out.

Joy : [Y/N] is right guys.

The other emotions agree and continue watching.

Luckily, [C/N] accepts Riley's confession and tells her he likes her too and would like to go out with her, much to [Y/N]'s delight!

[Y/N] : YES! Riley's first boyfriend, and on the most love-filled day of them all! Love is truly in the air on this glorious day!

The other emotions deadpan at [Y/N]'s eccentric outburst except for Joy.

Oh [Y/N], you are so cute when you get all giddy like that!

The memory of Riley's confession takes the form of a dual-colored orb, the two colors representing both love and joy.

[Y/N] : Look Joy, it has our colors!

Joy : That's so cool, I've never seen a memory orb with two colors before!

[Y/N] : Maybe it's because you and I are a perfect match? The feelings of joy and love often go hand in hand after all!

Joy blushes at his words.

Me and [Y/N]...a perfect match.

The other emotions look at each other knowingly, as they are well aware of Joy's feelings for [Y/N].

Deciding that now is the perfect time to confess, she turns to [Y/N] with a nervous smile.

Ok, Riley confessed to her crush, so now it's time for me to do the same!

Joy : Hey [Y/N], there's something I really need to say to you.

He looks at Joy and gives her his signature smile that makes her heartbeat rise.

[Y/N] : Funny thing, there's something I want to tell you too.

Joy : Oh? Well then you can go first.

[Y/N] : No no, you go first.

Joy : That's alright [Y/N], you can go first.

[Y/N] : Please Joy, I insist you go first.

This continues on as the others groan in annoyance.

Disgust : Ugh this needs to stop! Look, why don't you both just say what you want to at the same time?

Joy and [Y/N] look at each other in embarrassment.

[Y/N] : I'm ok with that, how about you Joy?

Joy : Sounds good to me, we'll do it on 3.

[Y/N] : Alright, 1!

Joy : 2!

[Y/N] and Joy : 3! I love you [Y/N]/Joy!

They both gasp and blush deeply.

[Y/N] : You...love me Joy?

Joy : Yes [Y/N], I do. I've had feelings for you ever since you came into being, you're just so kind and funny and an overall joy to be around. So, is it true that you love me too?

[Y/N] : Yeah. I fell in love with how positive and upbeat you are. Remember when I said earlier that joy and love often go hand in hand? Well, I mean it more than just emotions. I love you so much Joy, will you be my girlfriend?

Joy smiles wider than she ever has before and tackles [Y/N] into a hug.

Joy : Yes yes yes! I love you too [Y/N], and I definitely want to be your girlfriend!

She and [Y/N] proceed to share a loving kiss.

The other emotions watch the scene in front of them and smile.

Anger : It's about time they got together, if they weren't going to confess their feelings soon, I was gonna explode!

The new couple pull away and smile at each other.

Joy : Happy Valentine's Day [Y/N], I love you.

[Y/N] : Happy Valentine's Day Joy, I love you too.
