[Y/N] [L/N] thinks to himself and sighs as his girlfriend Candace Flynn is once again trying to bust her brothers, this time for building a zoo in the backyard.

Candace hears her mother pull up in the driveway and smiles to herself.

Yes, this is it! I'll lead mom to the backyard, and then Phineas and Ferb will be busted for sure this time!

She runs out the front door to greet her mother, [Y/N] begrudgingly following behind her.

Candace : Mom, Phineas and Ferb built a zoo in the backyard!

Mrs. Flynn, used to her daughter's antics, just continues unloading her groceries from the car.

[Y/N] : Need any help with those Mrs. Flynn?

Mrs. Flynn : Thank you [Y/N], I'd appreciate it.

He smiles before grabbing a few bags and carrying them into the kitchen with her.

After putting away the groceries, Mrs. Flynn turns to her daughter, who has been waiting impatiently for the two to finish putting stuff away.

Mrs. Flynn : Alright Candace, what is it you want to show me again?

Candace : They built a zoo in the backyard, you need to come see!

Mrs. Flynn : Weren't you supposed to be out on a date with [Y/N] at the movies right now dear?

Candace : Yeah, but I saw that Phineas and Ferb were up to something as we were leaving, and I just had to know what.

Her mother gives [Y/N] an apologetic look as he just gives her a small fake smile.

Poor [Y/N], this is the fourth time this week he and Candace were supposed to go out, but she became too obsessed with what her brothers were doing.

Candace runs out to the backyard in anticipation as her mother begins following her, but is stopped for a second by [Y/N].

[Y/N] : I'm gonna head home now Mrs. Flynn, tell Candace I'll call her later please.

He says with a hint of sadness in his voice.

Mrs. Flynn : Of course dear, tell your mother I said hello.

He nods and leaves as Mrs. Flynn frowns to herself.

Candace, you better make it up to him somehow.

She follows her daughter to the backyard and sees her sons standing around with their friends...with no zoo in sight.

Candace : H-huh?! I don't get it! T-there was a whole zoo back here! There were elephants, and lions, and dancing bears, and-

Her mother cuts her off.

Mrs. Flynn : That's enough Candace, go wait in the kitchen so I can talk to you about something.

Candace sighs in frustration and complies.

Mrs. Flynn : Now you kids have fun, I'll make you all some snacks in a minute.

They thank her before she comes back inside to talk to her daughter.

Candace : Hey mom, where did [Y/N] go?

Mrs. Flynn : That's what I wanted to talk to you about dear, he went home.

Candace's eyes widen.

He left? Why?

Mrs. Flynn : Candace, this is the fourth time this week you interrupted your plans with [Y/N], I could see the sadness in his face when he left. You need to apologize and make it up to him...before it's too late to.

Realization sets in as Candace looks down in regret.

I was so determined to finally bust my brothers that I've been neglecting my boyfriend! I love [Y/N] so much, I don't wanna lose him!

Candace : I'm going to [Y/N]'s house to apologize mom, I'll be home later!

She says while rushing out the door and down the street.

Candace arrives at [Y/N]'s house and greets his mom before heading to his bedroom, knocking on his door and waiting.

[Y/N] opens it and is immediately pulled into a tight hug by his girlfriend, making him blush slightly.

Candace : Oh [Y/N], I'm so sorry for letting my brothers get in the way of our dates. I love you a lot, and I swear I'll never let it happen again! Please forgive me!

She pulls away and looks at him with hopeful eyes.

Without a moment's hesitation, [Y/N] smiles and kisses Candace gently on the lips, making her face explode with a crimson blush.

[Y/N] : I love you too Candace, of course I forgive you.

She smiles and hugs him once again.

Candace : Thank you babe, I promise that I'll make it up to you somehow.

[Y/N] : I know how you can make it up to me. We may have missed the new movie we were going to see, but my dad has a collection of old ones we could watch. Would you like to watch one here with me?

Candace : I'd love to [Y/N], I'll just text my mom to see if it's ok.

She does so and is immediately given the green light by her mom.

Candace : Ok, my mom said it's fine with her.

[Y/N] : Awesome, I'll make some popcorn and get us some drinks. You can pick out the movie babe.

She nods as he walks off to get everything ready.

Timeskip

With a bowl full of buttery popcorn and two large sodas, Candace and [Y/N] sit on the bed and begin watching the movie.

[Y/N] : This is nice.

Candace : Yeah, it really is.

She rests her head against his shoulder as he wraps his arm around her.

[Y/N] : I love you Candace.

Candace : I love you too [Y/N].

The two share a quick kiss and snuggle close together as the movie's opening credits roll, Candace making an unspoken vow to never let busting her brothers get in the way of spending time with the boy she loves ever again.
