Chapter five- Merlia is gone! (not really)

Max's POV

My day is just so confusing, it started with this. 

"OMG, MERLIA YOU'RE GOING TO DROWN!" I shouted running towards the ocean but when I dived in, she wasn't there.

I started crying because it was my fault that she left while heading to camp, I felt guilty and angry at myself. When I got to camp, I wiped my tears and headed to the big house, when I got there, I sat at the bench first before I tell what happened, I was so sad but I didn't notice that Travis followed me here, he sat down next to me.

"Um…..did you see her?" he asked with a worried look on his face.

"I didn't find her anywhere underwater, it's like she disappeared." I answered feeling tears fall down my face. He looked at me with a sad face then he started to cry a little but not showing it.

"We'll find her soon, come on lets go tell Chiron." He said heading for the door.

"Okay, wait Travis." I said while grabbing his wrist.

"What?" he asked sitting again.

"You like her, do you?" I asked him, waiting for him to answer.

Travis' POV

"Yes, I really do, but don't tell anyone!" I answered her blushing. So what, I like Merlia, she is just so sweet, nice, and so many things I just can’t explain.

"Sure, it's just so obvious even though I'm not an Aphrodite girl." She told me with a grin on her face.

"Just don't tell anyone, let's just tell Chiron what happened." I said dragging her towards the door.

 I heard her chuckle. I opened the door to see Chiron playing with Mr.D.

"What do you need?" Chiron asked getting up, he had a smile on his face but I knew he was sad, I can see it in his eyes.

"Max has something to say to you." I said pulling Max in front of me.

Max's POV:

I didn't know what to say because I was so depressed but I told him what happened.

"We should have Percy and your other siblings find her in the morning but for now you need to rest, go to bed now." He said while leading the way out.

"Thanks, Travis for helping me there." I said while hugging him. He had a smile on his face when I released him from my hug.

"You’re welcome, I'm glad to help and don't tell anyone about the one a while ago!" he said heading to his cabin.

"Sure!" I shouted back heading back to my cabin.

When I got to my bed, I sat there for a while thinking about what will happen tomorrow. I felt very sleepy, so I changed into my PJs and went to sleep. I had the weirdest dream ever , I was at the beach looking at the water but suddenly a figure was immerging out of the water, when It got closer, I saw that it was a girl with a glowing figure above her head, it was a……….. My dream was interrupted because I woke up. I started to question myself, who was that girl? , what was the glowing figure above her head? I was so confused.

"Are you okay, Max?" Percy asked sitting beside me.

"Yes, I'm fine." I answered feeling my eyes watery.

"What happened to you last night, I heard you crying?"  He asked me with a concerned face.

"It was Merlia, she dived in the water but when I followed her, she disappeared." I said, tears falling from my eyes.

"It's going to be okay, let's go eat breakfast." He said heading to the dining pavilion.

"I'll just catch up!" I shouted, heading to the bathroom to change and headed to the pavilion.

Merlia's POV:

So you thought I was dead, well I'm not.

(Flashback)

When I dove in the ocean, I realized I was breathing like before but I got unconscious because I was exhausted and sleepy. When I woke up, (just for a while) I was in a room underwater.

"Where am I?" I asked looking for someone in the room but there was no one. My eyelids were getting heavy so I got unconscious again. When I finally woke up, a man with black hair and green eyes was staring at me.

"Excuse me sir but where am I?" I asked confused looking around; I was still in the same room that I was been before.

"You're in my palace, dear." He said.

"Sir not to be rude or anything but who are you?" I asked still confused.

"I'm Pos-------"he was interrupted by someone entering the door, it was a Cyclops. "DADDY!" he shouted running towards the man.

"Daddy?" I mumbled to myself but I got unconscious once again.
