Chapter fourteen

Max's POV

"Luke!" Percy screamed going into the darkness was the last thing we all saw.

We followed him into the darkness but we can't find them. Annabeth had been crying the whole time.

"We'll find Percy and Clio don't worry." Thalia said comforting her.

"Let's split up." I said

"No!" Aly protested

"Why?" I asked

"I don't want to lose anyone anymore." She answered.

"Okay." I said while bumping and falling over something.

"Ouch!" I said standing up.

"Hey, it's a room." Melody said sitting on a chair.

"Make yourself at home." Luke said coming forward.

"Luke?" Annabeth said in a weak voice.

"Yes Annabeth it is me." He said pulling someone out off the dark.

"PERCY!" I shouted running to him.

"I'm okay just get out of here." Percy whispered

"We won't live without you." I said standing up and getting my sword Guardian.

I slashed at Luke but he quickly got his sword and paired mines; we fought for like one hour finally Anna went in the fight she got her sword and slashed at Luke; Luke dodged it and quickly slashed at Anna. Then a hellhound jumped out of nowhere. The hellhound bit Anna.

"Ouch!" Anna shouted. Anna collapsed to the ground. Luke got his bow and arrow and hit Anna directly in the heart.

"Anna!" Thalia screamed.

"What have you done to her?!" She said growing angry by the second.

"Ugh! Don't Thalia, I did that for you all to escape but I have failed." Anna managed to choke out.

"You didn't fail anyone." Aly and Annabeth said kneeling beside her.

"What will you do know?" Luke said

"I'm going to kill you!" Melody said grabbing a chair and throwing it to Luke; her eyes were like were so red like fire, it’s like once you look at them you'll burn. Melody was so angry that she slashed at Luke and Luke disappeared.

"Where did he go?" Grover asked

"I don't know." Nico said

"But he isn't dead." He continued while sitting down.

"We better get Anna healed." Aly said.

"But wait how did Melody do that?" Percy asked.

"I don------" Melody didn't continue because she passed out; but before she could fall Nico caught her.

"And her too." Aly said while helping Thalia in carrying Anna.

When we got back to where we camped; we looked at Anna's wound; it was pretty bad. The worse news is we can't heal her with just ambrosia. We slept quickly because of exhaustion. 

(The next day)

Annabeth's POV 

I woke up with a loud noise.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!" Anna screamed. I rushed to her; she was breathing heavily.

"What's the matter?" Thalia asked

"She's Dying! She's Dying!" I shouted. We woke up everyone but when we came back Anna's eyes were closed.

"We're too late." Aly said tears falling down her face.

"Guys?" Anna said blinking. We all knelt beside her and said

"What?"

"I just wanted to say please save my best friend and make yourselves safe." She said.

After that she closed her eyes and we all cried. We went on with our journey; it always rained hard. We stopped at one cave again because it looked so different than other caves. We looked around the cave and saw two sleeping bags.

"Percy?" A familiar female voice asked.

"Thalia?" Another voice said but this time it was a guy.

They both stepped forward and we saw their faces.

"Clio?" Percy said running to her. "I thought you were with Luke." He said hugging her.

"I escaped with the helped of an old friend of mine." She said

"Who friend?" I asked

"Theseus Jackson." She answered.

"Hi I'm Theseus Jackson, son of Zeus." He said.

"We have a brother!" Thalia and Aly said.

"Well….." Theseus said.

"Wait, where is Anna?" Clio asked looking at me. I started crying.

"No! This can't be, she can't be dead." She said crying too.

"We're sorry Clio." Nico said trying to comfort her.

"We are going to hunt Luke down and he'll pay!" Clio said and the Storm got harder.

"We will destroy him!" Aly exclaimed and with that we headed out. Until we found a maze in the middle of the forest.

"Is this an enchanted forest or what?!" Grover exclaimed.

"We need to go in, Luke might be in there." Percy said.

"Okay." I said. A shiver went down my back still remembering the time when we entered the labyrinth. We entered the maze.

"I'm scared." Melody said. Then the entranced shut behind us.

"Well we don't have any other choice than to go forward." Nico said heading forward and we followed him.
