Chapter 9

Maddie's POV

I know that we probably didn't win in our duet. But there was still hope that we might win the group routine, depsite the fact that Mikayla didn't win.

It's award time and I sit next to Kenzie-boo.

"Now, for our junior duet awards. In seventh place we have, Maddie and Mikayla with Hot Like Wow.''

I sigh and stand up to accept my award. Seventh place. Worst than second. I would've even been content with second.

Next, for the group routine.

"Number one, Enemy Fire by the Abby Lee Dance Company!"

We cheer and scream and Kendall stands up to accept the trophy.

I see Abby in the crowd beaming at us and clapping along with the rest of the crowd.

Wow. We really did a good job.

Mikayla can just go find another studio in Pittsburgh and never come back again.

This is the best day of my life.
