Chapter 7

Maddie's POV:

On Saturday at 6 o' clock, we head to Michigan getting on the coach bus. I sit next to Mackenzie, while Mikayla sits with Brooke and they talk.

Chloe taps me on the shoulder.

"Yeah?" I turn around.

"I dunno why, but I think I heard Mikayla and Brooke talking about how Mikayla was gonna ruin the day for you." Chloe whispered softly.

"What! Brooke too?" I exclaim.

Brooke was my bestest friend in dance She was like my older sister. No way she would turn on me.

"Well, not Brooke, but Mikayla will get you back." Chloe says.

I tense alittle. I didn't know what type of person Mikayla was at getting revenge, yet. She could be stupid and dim witted. Or intelligent and plan the worst revenge for me.

We arrive and everyone leaps off the bus and rushes to our dressing room. I glue on my fake eyelashes which are uncomfortable. Brooke is lucky. Her eyelashes are naturally long, so she just needs a little bit of mascara.

I watch Mikayla gluing her eyelashes on why her mother brushes back her black hair. I apply a gold eyeshadow to my lids for the duet, "Hot Like Wow."

Mikayla's POV

I paint my lids a bright gold glitter and get into my silvery costume that is filled with rhinestones and gems and fire patterns. I am hot like wow alright.

Me and Maddie stand backstage not looking at eachother at our duet is called.

"Next, numbers 44 and 185, with "Hot Like Wow"!"

We perform our dance and as we are doing our backflip in unison, I tug on Maddie's hand a little, making her tumble and fall facefirst on the stage while I let go of her hand and land perfectly.

"Oh my gosh! Are you okay!" I ask, helping her up.

Her eyes are red and so is her face, with crying.

I see Abby from backstage, her brows furrowing in dissappointment.

I smile. Wow, embarassing her infront of all those people AND making Abby hate her even more. Oh well, it was worth losing first place for.

I see someone with a video camera filming in the back. They'll probably upload it to youtube and I'll show all the kids at my school. Haha, I almost feel bad for her.
