Chapter 2

Orion awoke, his glasses blurry and light blaring high above shining directly into his eyeballs. He looked around and didn't recognise his surroundings. "huh...Titan?"
Without warning, pain shot through his head with excruciating level on both sides and he let out a small yelp. "Gahhh!! what the hell is happening? Did I collapse or something??" He felt around his head and saw blood stain his fingers as he examined. "BLOOD??? Oh god okay its fine...and alright" His head felt oddly lighter than usual despite the heavy throbbing. He looked at his surroundings, his heart rate getting faster due to confusion of what happened. He tried to recall what happened before he fell unconscious, but can only remember having a drink in the hospital hallway with Titan, nothing unusual.
The room was grey and dark, except for 2 bright lights blinding him above. He sat up on some sort of strange hospital bed, with strange sawdust like particles littered around the top where his head was lying. He felt hot snd stressed even though the room wasn't really hot or cold, an uncomfortable atmosphere suffocating his senses. He tried to look closer at surrounding benches for clues and noticed unfamiliar tools, maybe for fixing some kind of injuries.
As he was feeling more and more panicked at the situation, Titan walked in the room through a large silver door. He seemed calm and composed. "There's no need to worry anymore, Orion"
"Titan! Oh thank Almaz, I thought i got lost or something strange happened, Where am I? Is Balt and Nickel Okay?" He started bombarding Titan with questions.
"I said it's fine, No need to concern yourself about them anymore...I got my own means of paying for their treatment. Well, his treatment...." Titan said vaguely.
"What do you mean? He?" Orion tried to look at Titan's face.
"....Do you really want to know? It's not good. " He seemed irritated and distracted.
Orion stared at Titan, not sure what to say because he didn't know what to expect, Titan was in a strange mood Orion didn't recognise. He worried about a worst outcome answer.
"By the curiosity on your face you must want to know. Balt is dead. It's a shame" Titan reported coldly, his tone levelled without a sign of much sadness.
"W...what? WHAT HAPPENED??? THIS CANT BE TRUE?????!!!!!!" Orion wailed, his head pounding. "I...WHY IS THIS HAPPENIN!G!!!!!"
Titan narrowed his eyes, and started to describe the most horrifying sight. "I saw it with my own eyes. Nickel had a crazed and insane expression on his face, like he had some sort of mad hunger. He had all kinds of fluids coming out of his face, like a horrible disease and then jumped on Balt, and began eating him alive. I had to watch my brothers act in such a horrible way!! " Titan's face started to distort, his anger coming through. Orion just stared in complete shock.
"The doctors tried to stop desperately, but Nickel just mauled them too. I don't even know what happened, its just....." Titan trailed off, unable to find the words.
Orion just looked dumbfounded, anyone would receiving this information. It was sickening imagining the innocent Nickel doing something so horrible and inhumane...inmyumane...
"I could have stopped this....Titan why didn't you let me step in and help!! If i could have treated them faster...just what kind of infection is this...." Orion felt furious, at his uselessness and Titan's reaction to all of this. Maybe he was just in shock and couldn't show his emotions normally.
"Oh Orion, you already helped enough." Titan looked up at Orion's head suspiciously.
"I fail to understand what you mean, Titan. I haven't been of help at all! If i just had the time to invest more sound dollars in the top doctors that can detect what kind of sickness...that has plagued your brothers...especially Nickel.." He clenched his fist.
"Don't you feel...lightheaded?" Titan nodded towards a dirty mirror in the far side of the room, it blending with the dark lighting of the walls. Orion shakily stood up and walked over to the mirror, feeling unnerved. What would greet him was beyond what he imagined.
