chapter 4: I don't believe in ghosts

Wilsons p.o.v.

I was surprised by the reaction of Y/n. They managed to stay calm while I was losing a lot of blood. The sleeves from their so called 'hoodie' made it stop from losing to much. Knowing myself I would'ved freaked out if anything like this would happen to them. Y/n knew what to do and we cleaned up my wound with water and they applied the salve around the cut so it wouldn't hurt as much. It was a little humiliating for me and I had no clue why I felt this way. There had to be a reason that I had the urge to prove myself towards them. Even though I was hurt it has been a while since I felt this safe and happy. After being six months stuck in this hellish world alone it didn't matter who would keep me company. 'Except Maxwell of course' Although I was happy that it was y/n, they're kind, gentle, strong and smart. It was only a few seconds ago that the sky turned black. Knowing that this was going to be one long night.

Y/n removed the sleeves from my arm and I felt their warm gentle touch on my cold skin. They wrapped the bandages around my arm making sure it was tight but I could still move it. "Isn't it to tight?" They asked me with a soft voice. To my surprise I was quiet for most part of it but every now and then a small yelp left my mouth. I wiped away some of my tears being glad that it was to dark for them to see. "No, no it's okay. It feels a lot better now." Moving my arm a little to see what I could do. Chopping trees and mining rocks was going to be a problem. Not even to mention that we still haven't gotten the time to hunt for food. Winter was arriving soon and I was terrified of what was about to come.

Y/n their hands were still on my arm while they drifted away in their thoughts I'd assumed. "Hey, Y/n you still in there?" They jolted up and let me go. "Huh y-yeah I was just checking for bruises or any other injuries you might have. Are you feeling pain anywhere else?" I did have a few scratch marks on my chest and one on my cheek. "Just a small cut on my left cheek, I can clean that one myself." Being for some part honest and leaving the other wounds out of it. I didn't want to make it awkward by mentioning my other injuries.

Y/N p.o.v.

It was that Wilson said my name otherwise I still would'ved hold his arm. The man seemed skinny and vulnerable at first but he was stronger than you'd expect. At least for how strong you can be in a place where food is scarce. He had to defend himself from the dangers somehow and build up his camp. I scooted a little closer towards him placing my hand on his cheek. "Please just let me patch you up. It is the least I can do for you after you helped me out." His face heated up and he removed your hand making sure not to hurt you, because you used your wounded hand. After that Wilson stood up pretty fast and he lost his balance. You gave him a hand to help him stand straight. You got up a little as well so you could catch him. "Careful, you idiot. For a scientist you're acting pretty dumb." He gave a sigh and an annoyed look turning away from you. "I was just a little dizzy that's all nothing more don't worry about it. Just wanted to get you some new clean bandages for your hand. Besides it is a small cut on my face it'll be okay." He was right but you still wanted to be sure he was okay. It was nice to have him around and he was a real gentleman.

He removed the dirty pieces of silk and replaced them with the new ones. A long silence between the two of you was broken by you cause of a tired yawn. Out of nowhere you've asked him the random question. "Hey Wilson? What do think of anomalous, you know the paranormal, Ghosts and such things?" He shrugged it of, not sure how to answer your question. "You mean the kind of things that are displayed in the journal? Some of them seem pretty real to me others not as much. The ghost stories and such? I don't believe in ghosts. There isn't scientific prove for them just yet. You believe all of it don't you?" He sat down next to you on the log watching the fire burn infront of him. "Yeah, I do. Most of it seems real not everything of course. My dog used to stare at one of the corners of my apartment. Dog's can see things we can't so I have a little experience with the paranormal. She saw ghosts and I felt their presence it is hard to describe. You probably think I'm crazy." Giving a chuckle. Usuming that he did since you only spoke from personal experience and your feelings. Wilson stayed silent looking at you unsure how to cheer you up. Your eyes started to become heavy and another yawn left your mouth. "You're not crazy you are wonderful and daring. Just like me you are curious about the unknown. For now let's call it a night we both need sleep and we are hurt. We can share my tent if you are okay with that?" At this point you didn't care about it you needed sleep. So you entered his tent with him. Kicking of your shoes and making yourself comfortable. That's when Wilson placed his blanket on top of you. "Don't you have another one?" He shook his head and you threw some part of the blanket over him when he laid down. "Shut it. We both need it." You said giving him no chance to say something in return. "Good night Will." Snuggling up in the blanket you mumbled and yawned again. He was a little startled cause you used a nickname for him but simply blamed it on the fact that both of you were tired. "See you tomorrow, y/n."

Here we gooooo... Chapter 4 already. Ya all gotta wait for chapter 5 a little longer since I usually write over a 1000 words I wanted to make it double. Just because I can >:3 and I love you all. Also added a little foreshadowing here. Good luck trying to find it. So hope you liked this chapter. Also let me know if I should switch p.o.v. more often or not. Wilson is a nerdy soft boi in my opinion who tries to hard to be a badass. So yeah see ya. Also might add a doodle in the next one if I got time.
