LISA safely get in to the vicinity of BG and she saw a lot of reporters and the security is controlling the situation, blocking them, it made her sigh of relief because Jisoo’s idea is so perfect, they didn’t know that it was her inside Jisoo’s car and Jisoo is right, her motorbike is already known by those paparazzi, those reporters.

Joohyun already gave a heads up to the security of what car she would use, so the security let her drove into the vicinity and drove forward to the parking lot.

“I owe you big time Jisoo-unnie,” she said while parking the car on her usual parking area then she stepped out of the car and locked it.

Joohyun greeted her when she arrived on the presidential floor and quickly give her a minute of what will be the agenda during the presscon.

“Mr Kim, the other Kim, Mr Josh Kim just arrived, I told him to take the exclusive elevator because I know if he uses the regular one the board will surely be confused and asked in this matter of time.”

“Thanks for doing that, I forgot to tell you.”

“That’s okay, Ms Lisa, you’re thinking of the game, I was really pissed,” and they walked towards Lisa’s office.

“That’s fine, on my way here it got me thinking, if there’s no presscon later those reporters and paparazzi will surely be on the university and Jennie was there, there’s no way I will involve her here, them.”

“I see, Mr Kim are already in your office,” and she opened the door to the office.

Lisa step inside first and saw Josh Kim looking outside thru the glass wall, “Mr Kim.”

Josh looked back, “Lisa, I just arrived.”

“Joohyunie told me.”

“There are so many reporters outside, in just a matter of minutes they quickly feast on the article.”

“What do you mean, Mr Kim?”

“Lance called, as usual, he trace when was the article posted and it’s exactly 5mins before 8am strikes.”

“The morning paper.”

“Yes, it’s been a week but it only happened now.”

“Yes, it got me thinking too.”

“And it happened on the same day of your game later this afternoon.”

“Mr Kim…”

“I had a theory while I’m on my way here,” and he grab the folder that he place on Lisa’s table and he handed it to Lisa, “I found out that one of your board member is connected to Jong-In’s father.”

Lisa accepted it then she opened the folder and her brows creased then look up, “they’re sabotaging it.”

Josh nodded slightly, “I’m afraid that we need to make this fast, I know you’re still mourning but we don’t have enough time and you’re still studying of the agenda that Irene prepared and you must stick to it.”

Lisa nodded, “what’s the plan?”

Josh handed the other folder which Lisa accepted and read it, “we have to sign the deal right now so tomorrow or by this week we will initiate the changing of your board members and the project, feel free to read it.”

Lisa shook her head, “I trust you, uncle.”

“Don’t worry, Lisa, there’s no way I will betray you, I love my children so much and they love you like they’re own sibling.”

“Thank you, uncle.”

“Well, thank you for Lance too, if he didn’t tell me I will not know, I’m just really waiting because losing a father is painful and it’s still one week and I know you’re close to your father,” and he saw her nod, “let’s start this.”

“Yes, uncle.”

Since Jennie’s residence is near the university they chose it for them to watch the presscon and it’s all over the news and 5mins left for the live coverage.

All of the team are gathered on Jennie’s residence, the flat screen TV is already on and they are waiting.

“I am so glad to meet you all,” Christine said after putting the dessert to the glass table in the centre of the living room.

“In behalf of my team, ma’am, we apologize for intruding,” Moon said.

“Respectful as usual Moon and I really don’t mind because Lisa is like my daughter too, knowing she’s Jennie’s best friend and her father is my husband’s close friend too so I really don’t mind.”

“Thank you, Mrs Kim.”

“Oh, quit that formality, even Lisa is sometimes calling me that.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, but that’s before when—you know…”

Moon nodded, understanding what Christine said, “I know…”

“Mom, is dad still in the office?”

“Yes, sweetie, he chose to stay there, in case there’s a problem and your uncle Josh is there,” and she look at to Jisoo, “Chu, is your father calling you?”

Jisoo shook her head while munching the cookies, “I don’t want to disturb them auntie, but mom said that it could be now.”

“Now, what do you mean?”

“They’re doing it now, the deal.”

“Oh, I see.”

“Thank God for that,” Jennie muttered.

“Why?”

“Joohyun-unnie said that the board members called for presscon without consulting Lisa first and they also said that she needed to do the inauguration today.”

“That’s insane!”

“I know, mom.”

“It’s starting,” Solar announced.

Then they all settled on the sofa, some are on the tiled floor, all eyes up on the TV while munching the cookies.

They saw a lot of reporters and a podium on the centre with the seal of BG in the front. Reporters are starting to shuffle and murmured and the camera was turned to the right side.

“Where is this?” Solar asked.

“In the lobby,” Jennie said, “there’s no way Lili will let them go up to the conference room."

“Yeah, it’s in the lobby and those securities are blocking all the possible entry to the second floor,” Jisoo said.

“Wah it’s Lisa-ssi,” Rosé said.

And they watch the live coverage again.

“She’s really intimidating,” Christine said.

“Yeah…” Jennie agreed and unknown to her all eyes are on her.

“Yeobo, it’s your father beside Lisa-ssi.”

“It looks like they already starting the phase one.”

Lisa stood behind the podium and stared at the reporters who got quiet when she looked at them.

“Good morning everyone and to the citizen of South Korea,” Lisa started, “I’m Lisa Manoban, rightful heir of Bruschweiler Group, today I will address about the article that roamed in social media sites, newspapers because—” and she gulped, “as what you read in the article, it’s all true, my stepfather, Thomas Bruschweiler, died because of illness a week ago, as you can see—I didn’t still want to talk about it, because even until now, I’m still mourning for his loss, a personal matter for me, blood related or not, he’s still my father and I love him dearly, it still hurts me of what happened to him, he’s fighting for his illness for a month, confined in the hospital for a month and was comatose, just imagine seeing your responsible and lovable father being comatose, it hurts, most of them are not concerned about my father that’s why I didn’t tell them and besides what did you know about my father? You all know him only as one of the influential businessman in here and across the globe, nothing else, you didn’t know him who he is in private, you all know him because of his public image, you didn’t know him as a loving and a supportive father to me, a loving husband to my late mother, it’s all private that I don’t want to go in public because I know some of you will just criticize him, us, me, my staff, my friends, this company that he built with sweat and blood, you will not understood what I feel on the day he died, especially today, whoever let that article out didn’t show some respect, inconsiderate, didn’t care that he/she already hurt someone and didn’t know about the word privacy and I will not let it slide whoever you are,” and she stare at the camera, “I’m not saying this as a heir of BG but as a daughter of Thomas Bruschweiler, so, whoever you are, I will file a lawsuit for invading my privacy, for ruining my father’s image, his reputation, for ruining the peace of my company and also today,” and she sighed internally, “today also is my announcement of my inauguration as the new CEO of BG…”

The dead silence was all gone after Lisa said that but she didn’t mind the reporters and just continued.

“…and also today,” and she look at to the reporters cameras, “I’m changing the status of my board members,” and her voice raised because the noise increased, “who always give headache to my father, so all of them will be changed right now, at this hour and let me present you the new first member of my board,” and she look at to her right side lifting her arm, “Mr Josh Kim, CEO of Kim Corp,” and she saw him bowed in front of everybody and she smiled, “and the rest of the board that will join us will be announced this month and I hope, from this day on, you will dig deeper and value the privacy of each businessmen,” and she bowed her head, “thank you for your time.”

“Ms Manoban!”

“One question at the time please and please no crossing of boundaries,” Joohyun said firmly and she select one of the reporter, “you.”

“Ms Manoban, does your board members knows about your decision, about changing them?”

Lisa shook her head, “no, they didn’t, as what they do to me multiple times, they all know that I still have classes and that time my father is still alive, fighting for his life but the board members arranged a meeting without my knowing even my secretary, Mrs Joohyun Kang, didn’t know about it, she just called me in the middle of my class that there’s a meeting going on at 3pm, instead of the original 5pm, not just that, they also disrespect my father who is still alive, when my father is still strong, I always saw him massaging his temple and I know he’s having headaches again, though he’s smiling at me, engaging me to conversation as what father and daughter do, internally he’s in pain and he told me that the board is giving him a headache and most especially today, they didn’t care that I’m still mourning but still chose to do this presscon, I’m close to him, especially after my mother died, he’s always at my side, supporting me and I always make sure that he had relaxing time and the board is not giving him one, even an ounce of respect as the owner and CEO of BG, those reasons is enough for me to change their status, even though my father is the CEO they act like he’s only a member not the chairman who is rightful, so, they don't have a right for not telling them my decision about changing them as soon as possible.”

“Ms Manoban.”

“Just raise your hand, please,” Joohyun said again, “we will end this presscon if some of you will ask her below the belt,” “you.”

“Ms Manoban, do you already know who let out the article and the pictures are very clear, does it mean that this is clearly betrayal of your trust?”

“Yes, it’s clearly a betrayal of trust and an invasion of privacy, that’s why I will file a lawsuit against the company and the photographer who send it already left in the company he’s working for and no, we still didn’t know who let that out aside from the photographer.”

“Do you think that someone is sabotaging you, especially later this afternoon is your basketball game with the famous point guard of Lady Lioness of New York?”

“I’m thinking of that too.”

“Ms Manoban there’s a rumour inside the Seoul University that—”

“Hold that thought,” Lisa butted in, “I’m sorry, but that’s my personal life, whatever happened inside Seoul University will remain there and nothing else, I will not mix my private life to the business life, I’m sorry.”

“That’s it,” Joohyun said, “I already warned you.”

“Thank you, for your time everyone have a good day.”

And the security quickly assisted Lisa, Joohyun and Josh to the elevator. The securities are trying their best to stop the reporters for coming forward.

And the live coverage ended.

“Tell me, how can Lisa-ssi manage that?” Rosé asked.

“She got it from her father, as you heard, blood related or not, Thomas is still her father,” Christine said.

“Why I’m feeling that Jong-In is connected to this,” Jennie said.

“What do you mean?”

“Jong-In’s father is the CEO of Kim Tech Enterprise, like BG, specializes in technology too,” Jennie explained.

“It could be, happening in the same day? Targetting the morning news paper?” and Jisoo shook her head, “Lisa probably know about that, dad is quick when it comes to this matter, I sometimes saw Uncle Thomas talking to father privately in our house, Jong-In didn’t want Lisa to focus on the game.”

“What did he think of Lisa, easily back down?” Moon said and shook her head, “I have trust on Lisa, she will make it on our game, for the meantime we will stick to our game plan.”

“What if she'll be late?” Rosé asked.

“We still stick to the game plan,” and she look at to her teammates, “we practice earlier and we saw how Puu played, still, stick to our game plan and I trust Puu, she’ll be joining us.”

“Yeah, she will,” Jennie said and looked up to the TV.

Lisa sighed and nodded, “I am, uncle.”

“Good.”

“Ms Lisa, they’re here,” Joohyun announced.

Lisa and Josh shared a look.

“Let’s go, Lisa,” and he took the laptop.

“Okay, Mr Kim.”

After the presscon they immediately made the draft of the project, the documents are complete.

They left the office and headed towards the conference room.

All of the members are glaring at Lisa when they entered the conference room but she didn’t care a bit like they didn’t care of her father.

“Care to tell us why you announced that kind of statement? We told you to address only of what happened to Thomas and your inauguration as the new CEO,” and his voice raise, “not changing our status!”

Lisa chuckled, “funny because you’re eating your own words, remember that you all decide, changing some things without consulting me first and it didn’t happened once, but many times and I know you’ve been doing it since my father is still alive, though you already treat me as the CEO, not to mention, I’m the Chairman of the Board.”

“You’re defying us now, Ms Manoban? Don’t forget that you’re not—”

“Not what?” Josh asked and glared at the man, “that Lisa is not Thomas’ biological daughter?” and he smirked because he saw his anger, the tightening of its jaw, “looks like you forgot something, let’s all be realistic here, yes, Lisa may not be his biological daughter but she’s still the heiress of BG and no matter what you do, you have no power against her, Thomas has been thinking of changing some of you and removing some of you, what Lisa needed is the board that can walk with her, defy her if she’s taking it too high that the company doesn’t need, but instead of doing it, you clearly defy all of her decision.”

“She’s still—”

“Young?” Josh finished, “yes, she is still young and you all clearly taking advantage of it because she’s still young, do you really think that Thomas didn’t teach Lisa about the company? Mind you, she’s handling the company for almost two months now, one month of Thomas being in a coma and her mourning,” and his face got serious, “that you all didn’t respect, you’re doing this presscon to pressure her, pushing her on the cliff so that she can fall and you just simply take BG without sweat, without doing anything and she's not your puppet, she's the CEO, the Chairman of the Board, carve that on your thick skull, so, tell me, who are you to order her like that?”

“Don’t talk like you know what’s happening here, Mr Kim.”

“Oh, I do know, in fact, Thomas and I have been talking and Lisa is my family aside from the other Kim, Lance Kim, Lance and I are his father’s friends and we both know how pressured he was, complaining,” and he let Joohyun place the folders in front of him, “and Thomas has been talking to me, discussing the future project but of course you will not know about this because from this day on forward, as what Lisa said, she will change the status and removing some of you, you can still be a shareholders but not the member of the board,” “Lisa?”

Lisa nodded and Joohyun handed her the other folder.

“How can you be sure, Ms Manoban, that he’s not one of us?”

Lisa looked up and replied, “my dad will not approach Mr Josh Kim if he’s one of you and make a project with him and if he’s one of you, he already taken the company for a long time and he can do it after father died,” and she sighed, “there’s no need for me to explain further as what you’ve been doing to me.”

“So, this is revenge?”

“You can call it whatever you wanted to call, I’m just doing the right thing that my father couldn’t, out of respect to all of you, even though he’s having a headache he has still respect to all of you that you couldn’t give to him,” and she sighed, “the names that I will call will remain as the board member and if you’re not called then you’re removed.”

“You only did it for a few minutes, Ms Manoban! Think of it carefully before you decide.”

“I can say the same to you,” and she glared at Mr Kwon, “I heard that you’re the number one giving my father a headache and your name isn’t here, so you can leave now.”

Mr Kwon stood angrily, “I assure you, BG will fall.”

“Do you really think that I will let that happened?” and she shook her head, “my dad will not die peacefully if he knew that BG will fall, in case you don’t know he was smiling.”

With that Mr Kwon shut his mouth and left the conference room, clenching his fists.

“Let’s continue.”

From the 6 members excluding Lisa as the Chairman only three were removed as the members and 3 remain but she changed their status, giving them some job and now Lisa had a 4 members and 2 other will be followed.

After changing the board and removing some of them, Lisa and Josh gave the initial draft of the project that they all agree and give each of their opinion.
