Chapter 2

Mr. Brown was my neighbour, a teacher at the college. He was the one who told me all bout this great oppurtunity of find a good job after I graduate. My mom thought that it would be best to get a ride to go to school with him unless my besttie would pick me up, because if she were to drop me it would make her late for work.
"Christal!" my mom shouted. "Mr. Brown is ready."
"Ok mom, am coming" I responded.
I snatched my rather huge glasses and my wallet from my dresser and ran down stairs, almost tripping over my own shoes.
"Bye mom"
"Bye love, enjoy your day" she said.
"I'll try " I responded and with that, I was out the house before she starts to rumble on bout good behaviour.
"Good morning Mr. Brown"
"Hi, good morning Christal, ready for your day?"
"Not quite but I'm excited 2 see my besttie" I say rather shyly wondering what he must be thinking of me.
" Oh well, that's expected. I mean its your first day and I know you might be nervous, but you will be just fine. I was once young as well and trust me, my days were terrifying. But thanks to my good God, I survived! I graduated and I began teaching. It's been over 20 years now you know."
"Oh, thanks Mr. Brown. That's ummm so nice of you! I actually feel better", I turn my head and roll my eyes wondering why doesn't he shut up, I don't mean to be rude but that's why I ran out on my mom in the first place. After what felt like forever we finally arrived at school.
"Hey girl!", Delilah shouted. I ran towards her, leaving Mr Brown behind and enveloping my friend in a bear hug, so thankful that she called me, although knowing that she's a pest. Inspite of all that, I miss my best friend.
"You look good girl," I said to her.
"Thanks Hun, you don't look to bad yourself " she replied.
She was wearing a gorgeous white Sundress with lovely purple and pink flowers, a pink belt and a fabulous 3 inch heeled stiletto (purple with silver spikes on the heel) ;) . She also wore purple and pink accessories, with her hair all curled up. Damn! She looked good.
I scan the hallway looking to see if I saw any of my friends from my past school. I saw some familiar faces but we weren't really close.

*speaking to self *
Sigh, I really don't feel comfortable here, I know everything is new to me and I know that I just have to give things some time, but I have a feeling that things wont really go my way. Hmmmm.
