Epilogue

A lot can happen in three years. After the Battle of the Bands, there were so many crazy adventures, that you'd need several spinoff comics, two straight to DVD movies, three TV specials, and two seasons worth of a TV show in order to do it justice. But here's what happened. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash started a relationship after they kissed. Sunset joined The Rainbooms as a singer/rythm guitarist. There were The Friendship Games, and during that time we found out Twilight had a human doppelganger, and she became our friend, and a member of The Rainbooms. It did make me question whether Sunset and Garrett had human doppelgangers. Then there was that time we all camped at Camp Everfree, and the girls all got powers, and Sunset can look into someone's past by touching them, plus we dealt with Gloriossa Daisy. Then Juniper Montage. Yeah, magic ran amuck. After the girls graduated, I was offered an opportunity to join the Mixed Martial Arts. So now I'm a fulltime MMA Fighter. I win most of the time. It's good pay, gives Sunny and I a better apartment to live in. Sunset is a singer with The Rainbooms. Sometimes I write a few songs here and there.

Anyway, I just won another match against a guy calling himself Pilsner. He looked like one of those large German guys you'd see at a beer fest. The greatest weakness of any opponent is their ego. Especially when they underestimate a guy like me. The dude said before we started the fight, "tonight I dine on turtle soup." Now who the shell says that? I left him the same way Muhammad Ali left Liston; flat on his ass. After the fight, I drove to where The Rainbooms were singing at a concert. I parked in the back, and went backstage. It looked like Sunset was singing her signature song. I heard her sing...

Ambition was what I believed,
Would be the only way to ever set me free.
But when it disappeared, and I found myself alone,
That's when you came and got me,
And I felt like I was home...

I smiled, knowing I was the first to get her. Sunset continued to sing...

Like the phoenix burning bright in the sky,
I'm gonna show that there's a power you can't deny!
I may not know what the future holds,
But hear me when I say,
That my past does not define me!
Cuz My Past Is Not TODAY!!!

And the crowd went wild! Once The Rainbooms were done, they went to the back. Sunset saw me and smiled. "Hey Raph!" she said, "give me a moment, gotta put my guitar away." I patiently waited for Sunset to do that. Once she was done, Sunset walked to me and said, "Hey Big Guy. How was the match?" We kissed each other. "The guy won't be dining on turtle soup anytime soon," I said, smirking. Sunset chuckled, "Well that's good."

"There's another reason I came here," I said. "And why's that?" Sunset asked. "You love me, right?" I asked. "Yeah, you're my hero," she confirmed. "And you know I love you, right?" I asked. "Yeah, and I never tire of hearing it," said Sunset. I got on one knee, and took out a proposal ring that an MMA friend bought for me. Sunset's eyes widened in surprise. "Raph...?" she asked, looking at the ring. "Sunset Shimmer," I said, holding the ring, "will you marry me?"

Sunset then covered her mouth, trying to stop herself from crying. "Raphael Hamato..." she said, "Yes! Yes, a thousand times, I will marry you!" She then hugged me and kissed me all over my face. What we didn't know was that all the girls were watching us, smiling. I got up and put the ring on Sunset's ring finger on her left hand. We then kissed again. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you, Sunset. I'll love you, always.

The End

Very special thanks once again to CharaDemonChild for allowing me to do this and the prequel. Thank you for your guidance, suggestions, and advice in helping shape this story. I'm glad that I could do your story justice.
