The chapter starts with Naofumi Iwatani in a library as he goes to get a book only for him to accidentally drop books on his head

Author: ignore the shield for now I'll tell you when to add it//

Naofumi:" ouch "- he moves back-" damn what the hell "- he looks down as he grabs a book that caught his attention-" The four cardinal weapons "

- he opens the book-" hmm let's see"- he starts reading it-" in order to save the world from apocalyptic catastrophe four heros would be summoned from another world "

- he flips the page-" seems like standard light novel stuff "- he goes to read again-" each hero welds and distinctive weapon a sword, a spear , a bow or a shield"

" yeah but a shield isn't really a weapon it's more like armor "- he flips the page-" anyway where's the main character in this thing I doubt it's this princess she seems like a bitch "- he would continue to flip the pages-

" well these four heros seems pretty impressive and cool seems all four of them our the main protagonist though I wander if the party members are talked about as well since I don't believe they can fight them off on their own "

- he would turn the page as it would be blank -" huh where's the rest of the "- soon the pages would glow and turn on there own the area would then change around Naofumi to a gold like color as he would be falling down being teleported to a room looking up a bit to see men in robes-

Mage:" fantastic the summoning was a success "

Naofumi:" what the ?"

Mage:" brave heros would you please save our world from destruction "

Naofumi:" what?"- he would still be on the ground as he heard others say the exact same thing making him look around seeing 3 other people next to him as he got up -( who are these guys)" and um where am i?"- he looks at his arm seeing what looks to be a shield with a green gem -" the hells is this a shield? "

Mage:" please oh brave heros our world is in dire need of saving "

Naofumi:" really?"

Guy with the bow : " what do you mean it's in need of saving ?"

Mage:" the story is long a complicated but to keep it simple you four are the four cardinal heros and you were summoned here by all of us using a ancient ritual "

Naofumi:( cardinal huh so he thinks us four our the heros of legend?)

Mage:" our world is in its most weakest state and is close to the brink of destruction so we beg you brave heros please lend us your aid "- he would do a small bow as he puts he's hands together with the other Mages doing the same-

Naofumi:" I guess I could hear you guys out "

Guy with the sword:" forget it "

Guy with the bow:" I also refuse "

Guy with the spear:" you can send us back right do that then I'll hear you out "
Guy with the sword:- would step up as he points his sword at them-" you brought the four of us here without our consent don't you feel guilty for it?"

Guy with the bow:" a plus if you just get rid of us as soon as we do what we're asked we've done all of that work for nothing "

Guy with the spear:" how willing are you to accept our request? Depending on your answer we may end up as your enemies instead of your allies "

Naofumi:( what's with these guys not only does all of this unfaze them but there already demanding respect and rewards)

???:" so full of themselves they shouldn't be acting so tuff with the amount of power they have currently such arrogant people then again I'm saying this as a weakling "

- Naofumi the other 3 and the Mages would look around to see who was making that noise-

- soon something would fall on Naofumis head as it felt light but it also felt slime like-

Guy with the sword:- steps up -" im Ren Amaki ima high-school student and I'm 16 years old "

King:( is that a demon on his shoulder if so why aren't the gaurds attacking it )

Itsuki:" I thought you said you had it under control you can't just let that thing growl a the king like that you have to be formal about this "

Naofumi:" sorry it seems that it hates being ignored so it yelled don't ignore us "

King:( so it's with the shield hero I guess that's why it hasn't been killed yet)" no I apologize but it seems you have a loyal companion not letting any thing mistreat you please state your name or names if you're companion will like to say his as well "

Naofumi:" I am Naofumi Iwatani college student 20 years old"

Naofumi: each country here has possession of what is called an dragon hour glass these divces can predict each waves arrival//

Nori: the first wave washed over this country not long before the heros were summoned trust me it was devastating I was there//

Naofumi: between the knights and adventurers they managed to fend them off //

Nori: how ever the waves will get stronger as time progresses the sand in the glass will keep falling as long as the waves keep coming and the next one is less than a month//

Naofumi:- points at nori-//

King:" we underestimated the waves once we actually experienced the first one and barely survived we realized that the four cardinal heros were the only things capable of countering them "

Nori:( honestly that just tells you guys that you need to get stronger as well and not fully rely on four people)

King:" so we followed the leagend and summoned you four but now we have no time to loose "

Naofumi:( that sounds just like the book I was reading)

Rin:" ok I think we get the gist of it anyway I'm sure you didn't bring us here thinking we save you for free "

Advisor:- would begin to speak-" of course not once you repel all of the waves I assure you you'll be rewarded most handsomely "

Motoyasu:" well it seems we have no choice but to take your for your words "

Rin:" as long as you don't renege will work with you but don't think for a moment that you can Tame us "

Itsuki:" exactly we will not take you looking down on us "

Naofumi:" alright "- he would turn it over lifting his arm up a bit-

Nori:- jumps on the gem part of it-" idiots your level 1 don't even have any skills yet honestly even a new adventure will check there facts before talking "

Naofumi:" huh we are "( man there so full of themselves)

Itsuki:" huh what's up Naofumi?"

Nori:-chuckles-( so I pretty much proved that wrong you honestly just need to figure out how it works though it makes sense why they think that it's really hard to do and I pretty much cheated)

Rin:" so what's the first step"

Advisor:" you must set out on a adventure to upgrade these legendary weapons you've been equipped with "

Naofumi:" so these things were not maxed out in the beginning ? Also mind isn't even technically a weapon "

Nori:" makes sense your level one to put it simply the shield and you are linked your level increases it levels increases with you with the exact same amount of exp also it is actually I've seen some people use big ones as smashing weapons during the first wave "

Naofumi:" well that's a confidence booster "

Motoyasu:" can't we just use other weapons until these are usable "- he would do a pose to look cool-

Nori:( I'm not 100% sure but I don't think that's how you use a spear but to be fair he's trying to look cool )

Rin:" suppose we'll have to figure it out as we go regardless it looks like we have alot of training ahead of us "

Itsuki:" we'll have to level up hard and fast "

Naofumi:" and once we're ready we can form a party and "

Advisor:" one moment brave heros I've neglected to mention you have to recruit allies and go on adventures separately "

Itsuki:" why is that ?"

Advisor:" the weapons seems to repel one another so if you try to get stronger together it will only hinder your development "

Naofumi:( he looks like he's telling the truth)

Nori:( really that's just saying they can't work together which sucks)

Naofumi:( and there translating everything into Japanese for us )

King:" since the sun is setting rest here for the night and begin your quest tomorrow in the meantime we'll gather the best of the best to form your party's "

- a lady would walk up to them-

Lady:" we have prepared quarters for you all please right this way "

Nori:- floats up on Naofumis shoulder again as the lady would escort them to their rooms-

Nobel1:" I heard that they summoned the four heros "

Nobel 2:" all four in melromarc are they sure about this "

Motoyasu:" I guess when you're heros of legend yo get special treatment the lady that took us up here was pretty cute too "

depending who you are but this is not one of your games it only seems like that because of your weapons but actuality this is now your real life meaning you're game rules don't 100% apply

shields are good for defending and protecting their party but they can also be damaged dealers using the shield as a blunt type weapon crushing there opponents depending how big and heavy the shield is strength is only a bonus because if you use the weight and gravity to your advantage plus strength that wall "- a tendril would come out of his body as he points towards the wall-

" would be a cake walk for them and your weapons are magical so I highly doubt the shield is going to be left in the dust plus he also has me which I can be "- he would then return back to growling as they couldn't understand him anymore well besides Naofumi-" oh come on !"

Rin:" he does bring up some good points and it looks like he can talk but just a short amount of time "

Naofumi:( oh God)" thanks nori"( now I have hope that I'm going to be useful though he did say I have to get stronger well that wouldn't be a problem since I have nori and potentially more teammates heck if I'm lucky it might have some girls in it )- he would get up as he walks to the balcony-

Nori:- would watch Naofumi as he was on a chair as Motoyasu would go to pet him -

Rin:" we'll to be fair we can't understand him and we did almost kill him if it wasn't for Naofumi telling us he was harmless he would have been dead "

Myne:" that makes sense with all that silver I bet you can buy some nice stuff "

Nori:" yo but remember Naofumi don't waste all of it but don't but don't be afraid to spend I can help you pick out good armor that's just if they let me touch it "

Myne:" I can take you to a shop that should have everything you need"

it doesn't say what triggers it but it's probably because of that and before you say it sadly this ability has no way of helping me in a battle but it's useful for me because before I met you I wasn't able to actually talk till last night even if it was for a moment "
