- the chapter would begin with Naofumi as he was seen walking everyone else would clear way from him until a familiar voice would call out to him-

Erhard:" yo shield bro "

Naofumi:- would stop as Erhard would grab Naofumi by his shirt and puts him up against the wall ready to punch him-

Erhard:" so I heard what you did to that girl and blob you were with I oughta punch you in the face !"

Naofumi:- would look at him with a pissed off look-" your against me too?"

Erhard:- looks at Naofumis eyes letting go of the shirt -" hang on "

Naofumi:" what gives I thought you wanted to punch me?"

Erhard:" I changed my mind"

Naofumi:" good you were about to lose and arm there "- he fixes his shirt as he was about to walk off-

Erhard:" hold on a second "

- soon the scene would cut to Naofumi and him being in I guess you can say alleyway as Erhard gives him a green cloke-

Erhard:" even with your armor you won't make it very far so consider this as a parting gift "

Erhard:" doesn't matter since you're broke but I'll say five copper"

Naofumi:" alright "- he would take it as he puts it on-" I'll pay you back some day "

- small skip would happen as Naofumi would be seen in the fields fighting the balloons letting some of his anger out as he stabs them with the edge of his shield -

- then it cuts to it raining with Naofumi being under a tree-

Naofumi:" I've noticed that this shield can make spikes and shift this black substance into different objects like nori makes me wonder what if I made a weapon out of it so I can use the shield part for purely defense I've also finally achieved the level requirement for that shield which was 10 tho it took me all night "- he soon see more balloons pop up as he walks out from under the tree to go fight them-

- the scene cuts to Naofumi walking through town heading towards a man who was selling one copper a pair for balloon parts-

Shop owner:" thank you come again "

The guy:- turns around as he sees Naofumi and keeps his distances away from him as he walks by-

Shop owner:- would open his hand to show Naofumi copper as the shop owner would try to speak-

- the tendrils would dissappear-

Shop owner:" alright just get those things off of me "

Naofumi:" good it seems we have a deal if you do well I might even add a discount "

Shop owner:" no no that won't be necessary business has nothing to do with the crimes yo may or may not committed "- he hands 35 copper too him -

- time skip to Erhard carrying a chest as he noticed something on his counter 5 copper -

- the scene then cuts to Naofumi under a tree again laying down as he goes to sleep time would pass as he puts some herbs he found in his shield Giving him access to the leaf shield-

Naofumi:" alright let's try this out leaf shield "- soon his shield would change as he touches another herb improving its quality-" I can approve its quality "- more time would pass it would be night time as he was selling herbs too that same store he passed yesterday-

Shop owner:" this is some good stuff where did you find these "

Naofumi:" in the forest right outside the castle didn't you know "

Shop owner:" sure but I've never seen anything with such high quality "- he puts the money on the table-" I was certained it was much more average "

- then the scene changes to Naofumi eating-

Naofumi:( since that day I haven't been able to taste anything with only some lucky moments)

- soon a group of guys would walk towards Naofumi-

Guy 1:" oh shield hero we can join your party if you want "

Guy 2;" yeah that's right thank your lucky stars "- he would grab Naofumis shoulder-

Naofumi:- would look at something as he would smirk a bit then he turns towards the group with a serious look-" ok but first let's discuss the terms up front "

Guy 2:" hahaha sure thing "

Naofumi:" your pay will be entirely performance-based do you know what that means "

- Naofumi then hears a familiar voice-

???:" man people really shouldn't be talking like that especially with the energy there giving off just full of themselves "

Naofumi- turns towards the person who was talking-" Nori?"

Nori:" yo "- he would look different as the armor and chains were gone with him having a full human appearance -

Guy 1:- would run forward with his weapon-

Nori:- kicks the guy in the face as the other ran away -" man people really seems to hate you because of that false accusation caused by that black sheep "

Naofumi:" yeah thanks to your shield though fighting stronger monsters seems to be impossible by myself without a party "

???:" it seems like you need help "
