General POV
   Ruby, Yang, Jaune, Pyhrra, Weiss, Nora, Ren, and Blake all ran ahead as they heard the screech of the nevermore. They all felt concerned, but continued running. After awhile of running, they came to what seemed to be the ruins of an old bridge while a nevermore flew overhead. Everyone took cover as the nevermore perched itself above some pillars, while letting out a screech.

Yang: "Well that's great!"

{Timeskip brought to you by me being too lazy}

Ozpin: "The four of you retrieved the black bishop piece's. From this day forward, you will work together as team CRDL, led by Cardin Winchester"

A round of applause was given, then the four young men exited the stage.

Ozpin: "Next up, Jaune Arc, Lie Ren, Pyrrha Nikos, Nora Valkyrie. The four of you retrieved the white took piece's. From this day forward, you will work together as team JNPR, Lead by, Jaune Arc!"

Jaune: "L-led by...?"

Ozpin: "Congratulations, young man"

Pyrhha then gave Juane a small punch on the arm, making him fall over.

Jaune: "Whoa! oof!"

A round of applaude and laughter was given, and the 4 stepped of stage.

Ozpin: "And finally. Blake Belladonna, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Yang Xiao Long. The four of you retrieved the white knight pieces, along with a spare white knight piece. From this day forward, you will work together as team RWBY, led by Ruby Rose."

Before another round of applause could be given, a familiar voice rang through out the auditorium.

???:"Leerrooooyyyyyyyy"

The door to the auditorium then busted open, revealing a young man doing a pretty familiar pose

???: "Jeennnnkkkkinsssss!"

Everyone in the auditorium including Ozpin and team RWBY looked over to see (Y/n)...

Y/n POV
   You stood at the door as everyone stared at you. You laughed at everyone's reaction. You continued to laugh for awhile, eventually composing yourself.

Y/n: "Your guys faces are hilarious!"

you walked through the crowd, eventually making your way to the stage. You stepped infront of of Ozpin, who looked a bit surprised.

Y/n: "That extra chess piece they retrieved was for me, and I believe you have one more person to add to a team Oz"

Ozpin stood quiet for a moment before clearing his throat and smiling a bit.

Ozpin: "I must say, you put quiet the show on Mr.(Y/n). There will be some adjustments made due to the dorm situation, but, I think I have a solution. Well Mr. (Y/n), you 'retrieved' the white knight piece. So, from this day forward, you shall work along side team RWBY."

A short pause was heard, then a rather loud round of applause was given to the 4 young women, and the young man

Ozpin: "This years shaping up to be rather...interesting. Well, Mr. (Y/n) I need you to come with me to my office, we have some things to discuss..."

{Timeskip to Ozpin's clock office}

   You sat down as Ozpin made himself a cup of tea and sat down in his chair. He say for a while then decided to speak up.

Ozpin: "So Mr. (Y/n), want to explain what happened earlier?"

Y/n: "Well... While everyone else ran to the cliff, I stayed back and fought... Which was stupid because I was killed..."

Ozpin already knew about you, your past, and your semblance. He never spoke about them due to the fact that he knew your past was a touchy subject and that your semblance was a very rare one.

Ozpin: "And how did Ms. Long know to grab a spare chess piece?"

Y/n: "Well I told her to grab a spare one because I was unsure if I would be able to and I knew if we ran we might've ended up with multiple Grimm to fight"

Ozpin nodded his head and rested his chin against his hands which were crossed and balled up. He sat for a minute before the elevator pinged and team RWBY stepped out.

Ozpin: "Hello team RWBY"

RWBY: "Hello"

Ozpin: "I'm sure you've all meet Mr. (Y/n)?"

They all turned to look at you and you smiled and waved them.

Y/n: "Sup Red?"

You didn't know if you were hallucinating or maybe it was real, but you could've sworn you saw Ruby blushing slightly. You passed it off a mind play and continued greeting them.

Y/n: "Yang, Ice queen, Blake"

You nodded at them, fully acknowledging Weiss's best red face, causing you to chuckle before turning your attention back to Ozpin, who was waiting patiently.

Ozpin: "Well, as you all know Mr. (Y/n) here has been added on to your team. Now, there is nothing that says that isn't allowed, but the only problem, is the dorm situation. All teams are required to stay in the same dorm, but every dorm is meant for 4 people only, not 5. However the dorm next door could be added to yours via demolishing the wall between them. Would you girls mind if he stayed in yours until I get the wall separating the dorms demolished?"

The girls all huddled into a corner while whispering amongst themselves, occasionally peaking at you. After about 5 minutes of this you stood up, and cleared your throat.

Y/n: "Now, this is definitely a strange situation, but Ozpin this is a bit strange. I mean, 4 girls and 1 guy in 1 dorm room? I'm no pervert, and I never would do anything perverted, but even im uncomfortable with that arrangement, and I'm sure the girls are too."

Ozpin looked over to you, then the girls who had returned back to there original position.

Ozpin: "What are you suggesting we do then?"

Y/n: "Well, I'm pretty sure there's a hotel close to the campus where I could stay. I wouldn't want to make the girls uncomfortable, and I wouldn't wanna miss any days of school."

Ruby: "Wait! Me along with everyone else wouldn't mind... Even though it may be strange..."

Y/n: "No. I'm fine with staying at a motel. I have more than enough lien that I could use to stay a motel. Plus I could wake up early enough to get to classes."

Yang: "Aww c'mon, you know you wanna stay in our dorm~"

Y/n: "With you? I'll pass."

Yang seemed disappointed by your answer. You chuckled a bit before sighing and turning back around to Ozpin.

Y/n: "Well, I guess I'll sleep in the dorm. I'll sleep in the corner while construction is completed. I'll use my sleeping bag as a pallet. But before I go back to the dorms, I'm gonna go into town and go get some stuff. It's only 2pm so I have lots of time. You guys wanna join me?"

You turned and looked at team RWBY. You expected them to reject seeing as you had only known them for 2 days.

Ruby: "Sure I'll go!"

Yang: "Count me in"

Weiss: "Guess it wouldn't hurt to venture out"

Blake: "I could use a new book"

Ozpin: "Well, you all have fun and be careful on the streets of Vale."

Y/n: "Yessir! Alright girls, let's go!"

{Another timeskip, but this time it's to Vale}

   You, along with team RWBY walked down the streets of Vale as you checked your scroll to find the nearest weapons store. There was one not too far from your current location, but you wanted to see what the girls wanted to do before you did anything.

Y/n: "So, you girls got any specific place you wanna visit?"

they all sat in silence for a minute, before Yang spoke up.

Yang: "I kind of want to go to a clothing store and find some new clothes"

Ruby: "I really want to go to a weapons store. I want to grab a new upgrade for Crescent Rose"

Blake: "I need to go to the library to get a new book..."

You looked over to Weiss expecting her to say something, but she just stood quiet. She looked as if she was very deep in thought. You cleared your throat to gain her attention.

Weiss: "Huh?"

Y/n: "Got anywhere you wanna go? We should all go together seeing as we're a team"

Weiss: "I'm not walking with you dults! I'm going by myself!"

She went to walk away, but you ran ahead of her, turned around, and picked her up, hanging her over your shoulder like a sack.

Weiss: "H-hey! Put m-me down!"

Y/n: "You may not want to, but we're a team, and teams stick together, and we're sticking together, even if i have to carry you"

She continued to struggle, but you held on tight, making sure she didn't fall.

Y/n: "Alright, we can go to the clothes store first, then the weapons store, then lastly the library. if you have a place you want to go Weiss, i'd suggest you speak up."

she puffed air out, and you sighed.

Y/n: "Just think about it while you guys shop for clothes, please."

You and everyone else walked to the store, while Weiss remained pouting on your shoulder. Once you arrived, you put her down.

Y/n: "You girls go ahead and do whatever you want. Im gonna go find some more clothes to wear."

They all nodded, and walked off. You went over to the mens section and began looking for more clothes. You wanted to find a couple new hoodies and some new pants.

After awhile of searching, you found some hoodies that you liked.

You also found a nice set of pants

Yang: "Hey (y/n)?"

You turned around to see Yang wearing a short dress and the rest of her usual outfit

You looked her up and down. You noticed she was smirking, which made a couple red flags rise.

Yang: "You like?"

Y/n: "U-uh yeah. You gonna buy it?"

Yang: "No, I don't have the money for it..."

You decided you would surprise your team by buying them the things they wanted.

Y/n: "I'll pay for you"

Yang: "Oh my Oum thank you!"

Yang hugged you, causing you to blush and release from the hug. She giggled, and walked back into the room. Just then, Weiss, Ruby, and Blake walked out in some very nice clothes.

Y/n: "They look really nice, especially yours Weiss. Kinda looks like knight armor. Your's is simple yet tasteful Ruby, and Blake yours is almost like Yang's. Still, you all look great. I'll be waiting for you guys at the counter, Ok?"

They all blushed slightly at your compliments and nodded. You walked up to the counter and waited for them. Once you paid for the clothes, you all left out of the store.

Y/n: "Alright, next we're headed to the weapon store, let's go!"

You all began walking towards the weapons store.

{TIMESKIP AGAIN}

As you walked into the weapon store, Ruby immediately ran over to a glass shelf and started muttering something to herself. You chuckled, then looked for the store manager. After you found him, you asked him something.

Y/n: "Excuse me sir? Where are the LMG hop ups?"

Shop owner: "Right over there"

Y/n: "Thank you"

You walked over to the hop up section and immediately saw the hop up you wanted. It was designed for LMG's. Adding it to your weapon gives the weapon a 'spin-up' fire rate. It starts slow, and slowly speeds up. You got the shop owner to grab it and hold it at the counter, then returned to Ruby.

Y/n: "So Red, see anything you want?"

Ruby: "Well, there's this new bolt they came out with which helps the bullet fire faster, but I can't afford it..."

She looked down, and for some reason you felt a bit sad. You decided you'd buy it for her as well, along with anything else anyone wanted. You yelled over to the shop keeper.

Y/n: "Oi! Mind grabbing this bolt for me?"

Ruby looked up to you with a wide smile on her face. You smiled back, and looked for Yang and the others. Yang and Blake were already at the counter. Yang had some shotgun shells and Blake had a new role for Gambol shroud weapon. Weiss was getting some dust for Myrtenaster.

After everyone was at the counter, the shop keeper rang up all the items.

Shop keeper: "That'll be 10,000 Lien sir"

The girls jaw dropped and looked over to you, who was as calm as could be.

Yang: "I can put my shotgun shells back"

Weiss: "I don't need too much dust"

Blake: "A new rope can w-"

You bursted out in laughter as everyone looked at you in confusion. You continued laughing before you  finally calmed down and handed the shop keeper the Lien.

Y/n: "No worries guys. I got it all covered."

Everyone looked at you, then down to the floor in guilt. You smirked, and came up with a plan.

Y/n: "Guys, it's fine. Tell ya what. I'll take you all out to dinner after we leave the library."

They all blushed, and you chuckled. You picked up the bag, and walked away.

Y/n: "C'mon, don't wanna be waiting too long"

They all ran up to catch you, as they started chatting about random things.

Y/n: "I could get used to this..."
